Liberty tax made a mistake on our taxes, the actual tax was around 6K, they put in12K. We paid in 6300. Now we are facing a lien on our property because the IRS shows a 6K difference. They should have noted that owing 6K was not correct as prior to giving them our proof of insurance we were suppose to get around 300 dollars. They should have noticed there was a problem and fixed it. Im not a tax professional but even I can see where the mistake is. They should not be doing tax preparation for anyone

Claimed loss: 6K Plus a lein on property

Desired outcome: I just want this corrected. We filed an ammended return however it doesnt show on the IRS website.
