I contracted with LegalZoom in early 2024 to set up an LLC - which the did successfully.
However, in July 2024, I decided to close my LLC. I again contacted and paid LegalZoom to close my LLC - which they did - effective 7/17/24.
However, on 5/9/25 & 5/11/25, they charged me $199 for "Registered Agent Service" and $199 for "State Compliance Filings" for the very LLC that I paid them to dissolve. In addition, the website does not appear to provide any way to cancel these services. This is clearly a scam. How can they not know they are charging for services that 1) they clearly are no longer providing, and 2) for an LLC they actually dissolved...

They dissolved your LLC, then still billed you for services tied to that nonexistent LLC — that’s not just sloppy, that’s straight-up a money grab. The site locking out cancellations until after the charge is a rigged game. You’ve got proof they shut it down — use that to reverse the charges through your bank. LegalZoom needs to get called out hard for charging ghost clients.
