On May 22, 2026 I had a Leaf Home Water Solutions salesman by the name of Derek come to my home. My complaint was the water was leaving a ring around the inside of the toilet bowl. Water tasted fine and there was no odor. He tested the water and said the problem was the water had a low PH of 5.4. He sold me a system to raise the PH and he said after a couple of weeks the system would be fine. Now we are getting white powdery deposits in our dishwasher and on our shower head. We checked the water with a test kit and our PH is now 8.2 and our hardness is at 50. I called customer service for 5 days before they returned my call and they had Derek return the call and set up an appointment for 07/27/26 from 12 noon to 5pm. He did not show and did not call. Again calling back to their service number, it took over an hour for someone to answer the phone. They said that they have no way of calling the local dealers to set up the appointments directly and they do not have a complaint line that customers can call. Bad Company, Bad Service and I would suggest people call another company for water treatment.
Claimed loss: System installed does not work. System is doing more Damage to my water system and to my family Physically that what I originally had. Did not have hard water, did not have high PH.
Desired outcome: Remove there non-operable system that is hurting the physical being of our household. Return my $3,128.00.
This is a textbook case of a system installed incorrectly with no follow-up. Here is your practical path: test your water with a different kit to confirm the numbers, then send a certified letter to Leaf Home corporate with your before and after readings, the dates of no-shows, and a formal demand to either fix the system or refund the full cost. Also, file a complaint with your state's attorney general consumer protection division, because false pH correction and unreturned calls are deceptive practices. In the meantime, adjust your dishwasher rinse aid to maximum and use a descaler for the showerhead.
