I thought that because I was in the hospital with Covid and had my shoulder replaced, I would be given a break. I never paid anything late in 7 years, checked my credit, and always had a good relationship with L&N. But when all this happened, they started saying that my mortgage and car payment were 30 days late for one month. Before they reported it, I was able to come out and move cash around, so I'm actually a month ahead on both payments. I don't understand why they didn't keep the promise they made and give me the time I needed to make the payments. They don't have an online option, so I had to physically go there to deposit and make a payment.

I've been with LN FCU for about 3 years and have a checking account with them. Recently, I called the bank to inquire about cashing a cashier's check from ***. They assured me that it would be fine as long as they could verify the funds. However, it's been a week now and my check still hasn't been cashed. The lady I spoke to has been treating me poorly, as if I've done something wrong. She seems to believe that the check is fraudulent, even though I assured her it isn't. I told her I would come to pick up my check, and she agreed. But when I arrived, she met me in the walkway and informed me that they no longer had my check. She has been incredibly rude and even humiliated me in front of others. She's lying based on her own opinion, as the check is not fraudulent. I know that *** wouldn't send it to fraud. Not only did they refuse to give me my check, but she also threatened to close my account if I insisted on picking it up. When I arrived, she started screaming at me in the walkway. All of this drama over a perfectly good large check.

I been banking with L&N for most of my life, cause my family use them too. But when I bought a house in May 2022, L&N had crazy requirements for gettin' a mortgage loan from them. They wanted me to pay over $2000 for inspections, which was just too much. So I switched lenders. But let me tell ya, L&N almost messed up big time. They didn't transfer my down payment like they were supposed to, even though I gave 'em all the required info ahead of time. And when I asked 'em to make an exception, they said no, even after their deadline had passed. The seller was about to cancel the deal, but luckily the lenders and the realtor convinced 'em to give me another chance. I had the money, I had proof of it, but L&N still wouldn't send it. I tried talkin' to a supervisor many times, but no luck. They didn't even apologize for their mistakes. Finally, the next day they sent the funds (late again), and I almost lost the house 'cause the owner was gettin' more and more upset. I don't recommend L&N at all. They don't take responsibility for their mess-ups and they charge you for every little thing.

This review is about L & N Federal Credit Union, and it covers the period from Jan 1, 2022 until now. I've been a customer of L & N for many years, and recently I've noticed some questionable practices when it comes to taking money from their customers. As someone who has faced financial difficulties in the past year, it's been tough for me to make ends meet while this bank seems to prioritize their own profits. They manipulate the order of my transactions in a way that intentionally causes my account to go negative, resulting in a $30 overdraft fee. Even if I choose to opt out of this service, they still charge me a $30 NSF fee. They reject the transaction but still charge me for it. Since Jan 2022, they have taken over $1800 from me in these fees. I've reached out to several vendors on my transaction list, and some of them have refunded the charges. However, when I contacted the bank, they only refunded three of the overdraft fees/NSF fees. They refuse to help me with the remaining five transactions, even during these difficult times. When I visited my local branch, I was treated poorly and with an attitude. The manager I spoke with yesterday basically told me that they have refunded some transactions as a courtesy, but they won't refund any more unless it's the bank's fault. She shrugged her shoulders and dismissed me. I also noticed that the transactions in my savings app don't match at all and are ordered differently compared to the bank's app, which doesn't make any sense. I'm currently waiting for a response from the bank because once again, they took $60 from me today. They are taking advantage of people and showing no remorse for their loyal customers. I want my money back, which amounts to almost $2000 in fees, but they refuse to refund any of it. They are dishonest, and I will be seeking legal assistance as soon as possible.
