I decided that I would try this company so that I could purchase a MacBook for my daughter. I am a single mother and I could not afford the entire purchase upfront so I thought OK let’s just do it. Within 24 hours of signing lease and paying a deposit amount of over $100 I decided to cancel because I could not be in my right mind paying double the amount in the end. I got confirmation from the Apple Store that the order had been canceled. It has now been over a week and it still shows that I owe $2300 and that my first payment is due in a couple of days. I have worked very hard as a single mother to keep my credit decent. I cannot get a hold of anyone every time I try to send an email. It says unsent the chat option there is never a real person. It just tells you oh whenever we receive confirmation that it was canceled then it will reflect on your account. It seems to me that if Apple is a reputable company and that they would have informed the company Katapult by now. honestly, they were about to make some money off of me because I was going to look for a cheaper more affordable model of computer, but since this has happened, I am terrified that I was scammed and as a single mother every penny counts, and this was for my child so I’m kind of grossed out by the whole process.
