I was in the Makati City, Philippines when I got very sick and hospitalized of PHEUMONIA from Sept. 11, 2025 to Sept.16, 2025 In Makati Life Medical Center. During my hospitalization, I incurred doctors and hospital bills total Philippine Pesos of 153,784.51 which I paid by converting my US DOLLARS to PHILIPPINE PESOS. The conversion rate was 55.00 to US $ 1,00 because this was, they call the "Selling rate." You buy pesos to pay your bills, but KP uses the WRONG RATE which is the buying rate of 59,00 to US $ 1,00. This were the problem started because KP Claim Dept. uses the buying rate and not the selling rate. Take note that I sold my US dollars to buy pesos to pay my bills and not the other way around were I have pesos buying dollar. I filed a CLAIM NO. 1108684971, on Sept. 27, 2025 for US $ 2,796.08 (153,784.51 divided by selling rate of 55.00 = US $ 2,796.08) I got reimbursed $ 2,606.65, unpaid by $ 189.43 mainly because KP Claim used the buying rate conversion of 59.00 instead of selling rate conversion of 55.00. I sold my dollars to buy pesos to pay all my doctors and hospital bills, so it is call "selling rate conversion" and not "buying rate conversion " that KP claim uses. I am still pursuing the short pay of $ 189.43 with no positive results and being ignored by KP Membership.
Claimed loss: My claim No. 1108684971 was $ 2,796.08 and I only got REIMBURSED for only $ 2,606.65, unpaid by $ 189.43.
Desired outcome: I advanced the Philippines Pesos 153,784,51 or US $ 2,796.08 and I expect full reimbursement of $ 2,796.08. I only got paid $ 2,606.65. SHORT PAYMENT OF $ 189.43, mainly the used the wrong conversion rate.
