Also, it is quite normal to develop allergies as one gets older.

I have used this product for 8 years on a weekly basis without a problem. MY last purchase was in December 2011 at CVS. As with any hair coloring agent, there will be a small percentage of the population that will experience an allergic reaction. Then, the same goes for ice cream, peanuts, onions, pet dander, pollen, etc. It's best to be tested by a reputable Allergist for a definitive answer.

@Tasha I see you removed the post about my mother killing herself, what was that even too LOW for you?

For those of you out there like me who have been using this product for years without any allergic reactions...which would mean if you were not allergic before then there's noway to be allergic now, please respond.

There's way too many complaints for this to be a MASS ALLERGIC REACTION.
I also have never had an "allergic reaction" that burns like a chemical burn & only worsens when you try to treat it.

First off, why did the company change the formula that worked so well for people for years?
Does the term "If it's not broke don't fix it" not occur to them?

It goes without saying that I will NEVER use ANY of the JFM products ever again, so does anyone know of good alternatives?

Also if anyone can give me any legal advise on how to file a class action on this company I would greatly appreciate it. People & Companies have to be held accountable for causing pain & suffering both mental & physical to their consumers.

Please if you are female & have no 1st hand knowledge of the pain we are referring do not apply, as well as people who think they know the difference between an allergy & a chemical reaction without actually experiencing the BURN for themselves.

i just tried it a couple hours ago-just for men ash brown-even after reading all these bad posts--i'm 57 so i said well if my face burns off, i'm not planning on being a teenage model anyway-also i read all those bad posts on amazon-so i brought it home and put some on my inner elbow for 2 hours and felt nothing-so i decided to go ahead-my beards kinda thin and graying, so i wanted some color in the side burn area-so far i'm ok, even though some posts say it didnt hurt them until they used it for the second time, a couple weeks later-i guess i'll find out for sure when i use it the second time-the ash color matches my hair color perfect i think-ok, if my face melts when i use it again, i'll post again -i attached some pics-i took them 2 hours after the application

However you are right about one thing, it is not an allergic reaction it is a chemical reaction If it were why would all these other men have the same reaction when they did not before. I had the same kinds of reactions as you all did.

This product has only recently given me these reactions so it's NOT an allergic reaction(I'll refrain from stooping to your level of calling you a name...but it's deserved)

You do NOT have to feel this CHEMICAL BURN that we are going through...it's either burning, or itching so bad you want to claw your face off.

Put some on your face then speak...otherwise keep your mouth shut, thank you.

This company seriously needs to be held accountable for changing their formula or whatever they did...this is insane!

I have attached a pic of my lip, unfortunately it was about 3 days after the worst of it.

I to use that product, & my wife thought i was doing something because i put it my goatee, so when is the lawsuit going to start I'm ready.What can i use to cure it.

I thought I was the only one, and just recently put two & two together realizing it is the JFM hair dye that has cause the "chemical burn" sensation & my upper lip to balloon up with puss filled blisters!
This is insane, because I have used this product for years and have only in the past few months seen this relation to my skin.

I think someone needs to start a forum about this so we can post our pics to show everyone just how bad this stuff is!

somone please post any lawyer information. im in the same boat. just for men beard and mustache has affected my scalp and face. pustule like acne and large red cystic nodules. im on an herbal supplement and detoxing my body. im washing face with tea tree oil.

i am having a similar experience. i was using JUST FOR MEN hair color shampoo with no side affects. in the beginning of november, i tried JUST FOR MEN beard and mustache because I grew out my beard after a trip to Spain. when i brushed in the JFM it worked great. It colored the grey in my beard and my sideburns. after a few more weeks I decided to shave my beard off. for the last 4 weeks i have been in incredible pain. my whole scalp broke out with redness almost acne like sypmtoms. the entire sides of my face and places on my face where i used JFM beard and mustache have been affected with acne like symptoms as well. pustule acne and large cystic red spots on my face. I haven't had acne since i was 20. im 35 now. something is not cool with this product. right now i am on herbal supplements to try and detox my system and clear my face and scalp. i will never use this product again. my barber suggested i go to a dermatologist after cutting my hair because he said my scalp looked intense. Please post any info if a lawsuit ensues.

This made me really mad so I went looking for a class action for you all to sign up for. I couldn't find one though. I'll admit, lawyers are usually the ones getting paid when it comes to class actions, but with so many of you, it might be more cost effective.

Wish i had read this before. My chin burns, i can´t sleep, it itches like hell. Never again this product. I have to scratch my chin the whole day and the whole night.
I had never problems with my skin so i was very surprised by the aichin en itching.
Now i have to wait when will this pain subside ?

I got liver cancer from using this product. The doctors gave me 2 months to live but 4 months have passed since my diagnosis. My relatives are waiting for me to drop dead and asked me to include them in my Will. Just for Men is Death for Men.

Agree with all the above. Used on mustache and goatee for a year with no issue. This September immediately after using my chin became irritated and puss oozed. After shaving the area, the area is still red and flaky after a couple months. Sounds like it had to be a formula change. Can't see becoming allergic to JFM out of the blue after using with no problem for a year...?

My brother used JFM three days ago. I am in the middle of trying to help him. I have NEVER seen any kind of reaction like this before! I am actually scared for him. He did the test, like so many others Ive discovered, and had no reaction until he used it. After following the directions to a tee he woke up in the middle of the night with sever burning and itching! He said it felt like someone took a torch to his face. His skin around his mouth is dark red, swollen, blistered and weeping pus! His lips are huge! He has had to suffer all weekend because he has no health ins and could not afford to go to the emergency room. He has missed two days of work and three nights of sleep. I was shocked to see ALL of the same complaints from other men! After reading so many, I am afraid about his recovery. He can't afford to miss work! Not to mention, suffer for no reason! He reports today that he now has a lump in his neck and the rash is spreading up his face and nostrils. This whole thing is unreal! I intend to do what ever I can to help him and get this crap off the shelves!

I experienced the same symptoms as the others. Itchiness, painful burning, pus leaking, etc. I too, followed the directions to the letter. I would wake up at night clawing at the itching on my face and chin. I also suffered burns on my lips that resembled cold sores. The only relief I could find was using Benedryl ointment in the tube, or Gold Bond salve for itching. My God, don't the people who make this have any conscience at all? Surely Karma will get them for what they're doing to unsuspecting, innocent consumers. Someone PLEASE start a class action lawsuit and sue these people. PLEASE.

I agree with all the above. I too have used this JFM product for 10 to 15 years and within the last year or so I have experienced the same itching and burning and within the last time, pus filled blisters. I kept trying to used it but cut back to once every two weeks then once a month until last month when it burned and itched so bad that I said NEVER AGAIN. I thought I was leaving it on toO long so I started keeping it on for just four minutes. That did not work either. I AGREE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS CRAP.

I too am experiencing this rash and itching sensation...it is driving me crazy. I started using the product about 3 months ago without an issue. Now all of a sudden i am having the save itching, blister oozing issues as the others. I will not use this product ever again, and am looking for solutions of calming my face today. Colleagues are telling me it is not noticeable, but the itching is making it impossible to do anything...and then you scrap the scabs off under the hair, and start oozing...tough situation.

I used this product 3 times from the first box my wife purchased and everything was good. The next time I used it for a 4th time frm a different box it gave me the really bad results with itching rash and pimples with puss oozing out of them. It has now been a week and my face still is not healed. What a nightmare, I will never ever use this product again and I am telling all of my friends and clients about the bad reaction. Plus when you are talking with someone face to face and your face is all messed up with this disgusting rash you need to tell them. There are safer product out there I have just learned. What a bad experience. You are gambling if you use this poisonous product.

I thought I was the only one affected with this product but it appears I am not. I used this product to color my gray goatee and what resulted was the most painful and not to mention embarrassing breakout of oozing blisters. I am afraid to use this product for this reason. Surely there must me someone at that company who has noticed this. I followed the directions but will never use this again.

All of these comments defending Just For Men are fake, put up by the company to offset the complaints. I have been using this product for years to touch up my Mustache and Goatee. Never had a problem until they recently changed the formula. I experienced the same redness, itching and pus filled blisters. Obviously I stopped using it. If I find out that my skin is permanently scarred I WILL file suit. Meanwhile, I have found an alternative, which was not easy. Somebody get these JFM ###.

That product should be off the market. Let's get together and sue this company. I can' believe that this product is sold in drugstores. I hope that Just for Men personnel are reading these comments. I personally contacted them and was told that we haven't had any complaints. That is ###! I will be communication with the Department of Health in Canada and will make certain that the product is no longer available due to dangerous reactions.

I used the "Just for Men" 2 months ago in April, my chin broke really bad and now every time I get in the sun, I break out in a painful rash! I have used this product for 2 years and never had a problem until now. Let's all get together and sue this company! The rash goes all over my back and chest!

I have had the same problem. Did a test spot . Used the product with no problem. Then the new and improved version for dying your beard came out. My face is swollen, with blisters that secrets a lot of fluid. It itches and is painful. The swelling is uncomfortable as well. I work in sales so not only has this product dangerously affected my skins health it is hurting me financially, as I have to deal with the public. This product should be removed from shelves and if there is a Lawsuit I'm on board. I will file my own if necessary. Contacted the company and was blown off.

This product needs some SERIOUS looking into, I have had long lasting skin eruptions from this stuff...

I suggest a biopsy if anyone still has an irritation in the same area after you quit product.It was not a coincidence I had skin cancer at the same time in the same spots behind both ears afer using product. lawsuit? Anyone else have problems /
