With social distancing, not all tables are filled. Took 30 minutes to be seated, another 10 for wait staff to take our drink order and another 30 minutes to deliver our food. Forgot silverware so took another 5 minutes to locate utensils. To only have cold pasta. Asked for to go boxes". Brought us one. Asked for another two boxes. Brought us containers with wrong lids. Had to ask the hostess for a to go bag. Then they brought us someone else's receipt. Corpus Christi Johnny Carino's has gone to [censored]! Less people you would think less work, less problems. Nope, just the opposite.
Desired outcome: Get your [censored] together
Johnny Carino's - food
I took my girls to eat dinner and it was not good at all. We drove in from Alice to eat there. I ordered a medium well steak and it came RARE. They recooked it and it came WELL DONE. It took forever to get served. My daughter ordered the seafood fettuccine and it was OVERLY peppered. She barely ate it because she said it was too spicy. Oh. And there were so many knats on our food. I have pics of everything. The server was great though. His name was James. I first pic is the one with a knat on the napkin. We stopped eating because they kept landing on our food. The second pic is the seafood fettuccine with way too much pepper firca child. And the last pic is the dry overcooked steak.
Johnny Carino's - #41
03/11/2019 at 1:00 my granddaughter and I went to Johnny Carino's here in Corpus Christi. As we walked in, I notice the floor was dirty, but we went ahead and stayed we were seated at a booth that was very sticky. Still, I didn't complain, then we order... The silverware was dirty, I had iced tea, but when Melanie, our waitress, refilled my tea glass, I noticed the pitcher was very dirty... Still, we stayed. I ordered the Tri-Tip Dip, disgusting, never again... The meat had a foul taste to it... So it took a while for us to get our bill because the waitress said they were having computer problems... Then we get up to leave and my foot slip on something wet and I fell. The waitress, being at the next booth taking an order, looks at me, and continued to take their order. My pregnant granddaughter had to help me up... I am 65 years old, and normally I don't complain about things, but today I am very sore, my elbow is scratched, my knee is very bruised, and my hip hurts from the fall... I called the restaurant yesterday, the manager apologized, but the only resolution offered was to refund our $32 meal... The money was not the issue, it was a matter of cleanliness, service, and disregard for patrons. This kind of service should not be acceptable.
