J Hodges & Son Used Auto Sales

Me and my buddy got a car from this place and traded in our old one plus some cash for the down payment. We signed all the papers we needed on the day we bought it and gave them power of attorney to do any extra paperwork and get the title and tags because we told the boss we'd be out of town for work. They gave us the runaround about the tags being late cuz of Covid and we ended up getting two tickets for fake tags and had to go to court because the new owner of our old car complained. When I called the boss to ask what was up, he just hung up on me and said he was too busy and forgot. The last time I called, he said it wasn't his problem and there was nothing he could do. I tried calling again but no answer.

I sent $2000 to J Hodges & Son Used Auto Sales, LLC as a deposit for a car from an auction. On 3/18/22, I bought the car for $4200 plus taxes and fees. I accidentally sent $4831 instead of $2831 and realized my mistake after leaving. I called and he said he would send the extra money back, but he hasn't and blocked me on Cashapp and my phone. I just want my $2000 back.
