I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Impact Meter Services.
For several months I have been disputing abnormal water charges that are significantly higher than my historical consumption. During this process I provided evidence that the meter was registering consumption under abnormal conditions and requested that the matter be properly investigated.
I was informed that my account was on hold while the dispute was being addressed. Despite this, a water restrictor was installed at my property and I was subsequently invoiced R1,010 for the installation.
What is particularly concerning is that the dispute remains unresolved, the manufacturer's calibration certificate is still outstanding, and no final determination has been made regarding the validity of the disputed readings. Yet additional charges continue to be added to my account.
As a customer, I do not believe it is reasonable to be charged for enforcement action while a legitimate dispute is still under investigation.
I am not seeking special treatment. I am simply asking for a fair resolution, transparency regarding the meter testing process, and a conclusion to a matter that has now been ongoing for months.
I would appreciate a response from Impact Meter Services management and a clear path to resolution.
Recommendation: Do not ever use them, they are unwilling to work with their customers
