The Darwin city Hungry Jacks store is severely damaging the HJ brand. The customer service is lousy, the food cold and 9 times out of 10 the order is incorrect. This evening’s visit has prompted this complaint as I am completely mind blown at how bad the staff and food have become, I will never go back. I ordered at the drive through speaker, then had to correct the server at the window when I checked what she had input to the cash register. I checked THREE TIMES that my order was input as requested & foolishly trusted that this pedantic checking would result in a correct order. Sadly, it did not. I got home & the food was sloppily put together, cold and the burger I had requested 3 times to have cheese added to it was void of cheese. I do not remember one occasion when this store have correctly provided what I have ordered. In addition to this, the customer service is rude & borderline smart arse. The restaurant inside is feral, just disgusting and dirty. It seems the management at this store have zero clue how to run a business. There is no care or pride at all. I will never go back to this HJs. If there was a prize for the worst fast food outlet in Australia, the Darwin city store would win hands down. The HJ head honcho’s need to investigate this store and provide some hard core training to the management. Read the reviews online, they echo this complaint, every single bad review online is an incident I have also experienced. I cannot explain strongly enough how damaging this store is to the HJ brand.

12 nuggets

3 spicy sauces

I x whopper large meal with cheese

Order came too $62.50

What the hell.

The girl wasn’t well in English.

She did them all as whopper meals.

No mayo of course - which is obvious as she made them all whoppers and they come standard with mayo.

Charged me for all 3 sauces.

Charged for the mayo

She is truely hopeless.

I am not a unhappy customer because I had to wait 30 MINUTES for my meal at the Kedron, Qld store on Saturday 3rd June 2023.

During that time no staff member called out my number. So I had no choice but to approach the staff myself to complain & make them aware that I had been forgotten & had not received my meal as yet.

I've been a regular & loyal HJ customer for over 50+years. This is not the type of service I expect from your company. Extremely disappointing to say the least.

I asked the duty Manager to record the time on my docket I had finally received my order being 1.07pm being 30 minutes from the order time of 12.37pm shown on my docket & write her name as proof.

Worst meal I've eaten in a long time. Waste of material.

I was on my way home, maybe had not purchased HJ in over 18 months. Ordered a Vegan burger meal for my son. Seemed ok. Then ordered 3x large flammed grill burger meals. The original order was $64.00, girl suggested a family pack, which I confirmed I could still have my choice of burgers. Discount applied paid $54.00 roughly. Got home (7 min drive) and saw these big boxes for the grilled burgers, flipped lid. Another burger inside wrapped. The burgers were all very burnt, were not the salad ones I ordered, the chips were cold, and when trying to eat was like cardboard. Whilst I may not be a regular customer the fact I paid for this experience was laughable... If you are trying to lose customers then you are succeeding. Never again. My other point on the burger was that you wrapped a small burger and put it in packaging 3x the size. In my mind, you are falsely marketing your products.

I want to make a complaint about the Clarkson store. Every night my daughter finishes work at 11:30pm sometimes earlier and the Clarkson store is closed, we wanted to get something last night and it was only 10:15pm and the store was closed even the drive through was closed so we had to go to the Jindalee store and this store closes at midnight even the drive through, I was upset due to the fact that I live in Merriwa and shouldn't have to drive to Jindalee to get my food when there is a store right down the road and I thought all of the Hungry Jacks stores all closed at the same time including the drive through.. I would appreciate it if you could make the Clarkson store the same close times as Jindalee as this would be more convenient for me and it would be a good idea for you to look at the staff members who are doing the close shifts that they are all just closing earlier than they are supposed to just to go home early, my daughter works in fast food also and I know what is involved in a close shift what is supposed to be done eg. cleaning, restock etc. and if the staff are just wanting to go home early and not do their job properly then that's unfair to customers who want to get some food..

I realise you are trying to improve the service, but the new driveway terminal is too far back and is creating problems for customers and staff alike. Yesterday I was next in line for the normal drive through and another customer went to the new terminal and was served before me as I was waiting my turn. When the line moved I moved forward and stopped him getting in front of me (as I was the next customer). An argument started as he said "I've already ordered". I said I don't care as I was in line before you. Fortunately it never came to blows. When I got to the window the young lady confirmed there had been numerous complaints and anger with this. I spoke to the Manager and he said "Out of his control" send a complaint.

I can assure you that I will not be back until it's rectified and my 21 year old Grand daughter and her friends agree.

Please sort it out.

Good evening, I would like to put in a complaint about the Mentone Hungry Jacks store. Over the past year approximately about 6 times when we have ordered a flake/Oreo Storm, the reply comes back “Sorry the machine is not working.” We really enjoy these desserts but get really tired of hearing “the machine isn’t working.” It just seems to be so frequent and I really don’t want to have to drive to the next closest Hungry Jacks because that machine could possibly be not working too!

This machine needs to be maintained more often so it doesn’t keep breaking down! I hope this issue gets addressed sooner rather than later.

Today 5-5 23 I went into your South Grafton store of Hungry Jacks gave them my order, of one cheese burger and a small fries, by the time I got to the window, was told I should have ordered, where the woman asked for my order — I already had, so after she asked somebody else I got frustrated and said "forget it" and went to MacDonalds, the same thing happened a couple of days ago, in future I think Maccas is my best option and honestly I think it would pay your company to employ people who listen to their customers

21/4/23 i stopped at hungry jacks wild hoarse mountain on Bruce highway and bought the 5 pack boneless chicken, when i sat down to eat them they were not the ones advertised on the poster, i took them back to the server and said to them these are a rip off, and they just shrugged there shoulders, i did not have my phone as i would have taken phot, i am thinking about reporting to the office of fair trading, i have always loved hungry jack but after this little escaped its not fair to charge people that sort of money, times are hard these days with out being ripped off, i would like someone to contact me regarding this

Hi I would like to lodge a complaint on a recent trip to HJ Springwood Qld I ordered .The new chicken range meal 5 pieces crispy chicken meal .

Upon getting to have the meal with my partner I was disgusted and felt Really ripped off.

The chicken looked nothing like what I paid for it like just a fatty blob and they were not much bigger than a chicken nugget.

I spoke to the staff it was like water off a ducks back didn't want to know about it

hence why I am writing to you To voice my angst at getting ripped off.

My family came to the restaurant at Albany Creek Keong Rd and ordered a family burger bundle... With 4 burgers and the nuggets... We received the wrong burgers and drinks and couldn't eat the meals unfortunately as our dietary requirements were not ok for what we received unfortunately and we're able to return to the restaurant as the little ones in the were very unsettled and due to breastfeeds.

Dear Hungry Jacks management team. At 81 years of age, I have seen thousands of commercials promoting products around the world. I honestly don't believe I have ever seen an advertisement as misleading as the one that your company is currently showing on television. I refer to your promotion of your "Friend Chicken Pieces." The pieces shown are large enough to fit into the palm of an adults hand. It was based on this advertisement that my wife and I decided to order your product to try for the first time. I ordered the one order at your drive thru restaurant located in the Clear Island Waters area of Queensland. When I arrived home, my wife opened the paper bag and removed the product. We were totally amazed at the size of the 3 chicken pieces. They were the size of chicken nuggets and werea total surprise and disappointment. My wife stated ... "Well, doesn't look like we will be ordering these anymore." We wondered why any restaurant would advertise a product and then sell something so totally different. I was going to call the restaurant , but then decided that would that would do no good, and thus this note as not necessarily a "complaint,'' but more a question on why you could beso totally wrong and misleading in your promotion to the consumer. You have for many years provided an excellent product line, and exceldlent value for money, and it is a shame that you have failed in this endeavor. I am a regular custommer on Sundays for your egg and sausage or bacon product, and will most likely continue as a customer for that product. However, we will never make the mistake again of ordering the Fried Chicken Pieces from you. If we wish to purchase fried chicken, we will most likely return to the Colonel's store. This message may in fact fall on "deaf ears," but I felt it necessary to at least voice my concern as a customer.

Purchased 5 pieces of boneless chicken pieces , ...

Pieces smaller than any nuggets I have seen , not even as thick as any nuggets from your competition.

Placed complaint through online complaints portal also called and received discusting service from operator.

The order I received was pathetic, basically 5 pieces of 1/2 sized nuggets ..

Yet nuggets are 3/4 cm thick and these where closer to 1/2 cm thick .

How could you possibly supply this as $14.40 of product leaves me dumbfounded.

Is this the product advertised or just a incredibly poor representation of the offer to your advertising..

After seeing your ad on TV about Jacks Chicken and how delicious and crispy it was I decided as I was driving near Hungry Jacks Parklea I thought I would call in and purchase a five pack of this product . What a disappointment nothing like your advertisement on TV it was soggy not crispy and Luke warm horrible.

If you advertise a product then you need to make sure that it lives up to what you advertise

I should have know better that to try this product as I have had a very bad experience with Hungary Jacks each time I gave gone there normally it us bad service and product never lives up to what it should be

I did call yesterday and no one bothered to call me back … terrible
