Hostelworld – Hostel world is a scam

> Hostelworld is a complete scam! I booked a stay at a hostel through this service, and less than 24 hours before my arrival, they canceled my booking without any valid reason. They claimed there was an issue with the payment card, but the card was perfectly valid, and I was the guest.

> This is a clear violation of EU consumer protection laws! Under Directive (EU) 2015/2302 and Spanish Consumer Law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007), consumers are entitled to a full refund if the service is not provided. Instead of a refund, Hostelworld offered me a voucher for a future booking, which I never asked for and never agreed to.

> This is completely unacceptable! There was no valid reason for the cancellation, and yet they took my money. This is fraudulent behavior, and they are actively violating EU consumer rights.

> DO NOT trust this shady company! If you don’t want to get scammed like I did, avoid this service at all costs. You have legal rights to a refund, and Hostelworld is clearly ignoring them. Consumers should not have to deal with this kind of abuse.
