Dear sir or Madam,

I am writing you here to disclose the horrible service that my mother got from NJ Transit today. The case is as following.
My mother is 72 years old and took NJ Transit from Princeton Junction, NJ to New York city today. As my mother doesn’t speak English, I wrote a translation sheet for her with both Chinese and English. In the translation sheet, I wrote clearly on the paper that my mother needed to buy a ROUND trip from Princeton Junction, NJ to New York city. But when my mother gave the translation sheet, her ID and $20.00 to the lady who sold the ticket in the Princeton Junction, the ticket lady sold her a regular ticket which costs $20.00 instead of the senior citizen ticket which costs $10.00 only. When my mother found that she only got the ticket and no change, she realized immediately that she was sold a regular ticket and asked a Chinese besides here to translate for her to refund the ticket as she only had $20.00 with her and she would have no money to come back from NY in this case. But it was refused by the NJ Transit ticket lady. When another Chinese came and saw the case, this Chinese purchased the ticket from my mother and when my mother used the money that she got to purchase the senior citizen ticket from this NJ Transit ticket lady, she refused to sell my mother the ticket by pushing her ID and the money out of the window very rudely. After the two Chinese told her that my mother was on the way to visit my sick father in a nursing home in New York, she told my mother to purchase a ticket on the train. My mother asked a Chinese to translate for her that she doesn’t speak Chinese and she doesn’t have translation on her translation sheet for purchasing a ticket on the train, she still refused to sell another ticket to my mother even she presented her green card (permanent US resident ID) and passport. When the Chinese saw this, she felt very unfair and helped my mother purchased this ticket on the train later.
When my mother told me this tonight, I was extremely shocked. So I decided to write this to you to disclose this horrible service that my mother got from NJ Transit.

Best regards,
Wendy Wang
