Horizon Hobby Sales department

I work as a small retailer and make business with HH since 2004. For years, I was admiring their professionalism but everything have changed in july 2024: Since then, for unknown reason, all my orders are blocked in their system and I have to call them by phone each and every time to tell them to release it. Not only it's a major inconvenience but to reach someone in the sales dep means, on average, a hour on hold.

Recently they even find a way to forger that all my orders are paid for by credit card and they send me a bill with the wrong customer number on it!

They say it's a problem with their computer system but after more than six months I begin to wonder if they have hired chimps as their IT guys!

Horizon Hobby Horizon hobby customer service.

Bought one Remote control truck they sent two and charged me for two I returned the 2nd one. They still have not given me my refund but they have the truck. It was their mistake and I'm getting charged interest. Can't talk to anyone. I'm out $585.77. They have no phone. You can only chat with AI. I did talk to one person by email. He sent me a return label. I'm out almost $1200.00 for 2 toy trucks.

Horizon Hobby Company

This complaint isn't so much about the vendetta. It's about the company itself. I ordered the vendetta the website said it was in stock. BUT when I checked my order it said it was backordered. And customer service said "don't know what to tell you it's now on backorder". Now I get it's in the shipping stage. So Now what. Does that mean i have to wait another month or better. Because since it's in the shipping stage I can't cancel the order

Horizon Hobby eflite lipo battery

hi i ordered a 150mAh 3.7 25c lipo battery when i got it i ammediatly realized that it was the wrong size i was already dissapointed but thought it would work long story short it created more issues than what it was worth now it wont even take a full charge i dealt with you many years ago and received great treatment i would like to be refunded asap

On 06/28/2023 I ordered this product from their website. It is supposed to be a brand new product. when I received the package, the label and seal on the box was cut and covered with regular tape. also the charger was in a weird plastic bag and full of finger prints. Horizon Hobby Order not delivered

I ordered a losi dbxle 2.0. my order says it was delivered 6/6/23 and signed for by someone else other than myself. Contacted horizon hobbies about the situation and tryed to get a refund or replacement but was unsuccessful so I'm out of 1,500. There customer service is trash as well with back and forth emails are frustrating. I don't recommend this company at all.

The company does not care about one but them self the are not customer service friendly at all very rude and dishonest wont take returns either do not shop there find some were else to go there products break and stop working

Horizon Hobby Turbo timber umx

Plane arrived with plastic detailing ripped out of the foam. I repaired this, as it didn't affect the structural integrity of the plane. I then powered the plane on, to set up the transmitter. At this point I noticed dead nav LEDs. I proceeded to contact customer service, in order to return the plane. They ignored my wishes, and just sent out the replacement LED kit for the plane. At this point, I contacted them again, to complain that I shouldn't have to repair a brand new plane, before being able to fly it. I stated I purchased a "bind and fly" plane, NOT a "bind-repair-and fly". They are ignoring me, at this point.

Desired outcome: Horizon hobby RMA, including return shipping...followed by a complete replacement, including shipping..

I'm is a similar condition with them. I bought the same plane and one wing servo was bad. I have been trying to find out the status of the return and when to expect a new replacement. I have yet to get an answer to the question. Today first one agent in chat says yes I see the order and return and disappears from chat which now asks for all info again. After a really long wait the next agent says there is no record of you ever asking for a return even after i supplied the order number and the Fedex tracking number. Now I'm back to "will send and email as soon as we have information. So don't buy anything from Horizon Hobby.

I just received my new Timber X and am in the process of assembling it when I ran into a problem with one of the landing gear struts. It is supposed to move back and forth freely, one side does and

one side does not rendering the touted suspension unusable. I have tried for 2 days to connect with a live tech... it seems to be impossible now. It is too bad because just a few years ago I was able to call the company to talk to a living person and got the help I needed... not anymore,,, the virtual assistant is a computer and no help at all with a problem like mine which unusual and does not fit in the robot's categories. I should be able to send the fuselage back and receive another one that does not have this problem which I dare not try to fix myself as I have lost all confidence in this company's caring about their customers in any way except to sell something.

I ordered this economy car the same day as my cousin ordered his and his already came. This was almost 2 months ago that I ordered it and it still hasn't been shipped. I spent a couple hours on the phone and trying to figure out what was wrong but it didn't ever solve the problem.

Horizon Hobby dynamite prophet quad carve and 2 dynamite batteries.

To whom it may concern

I own a charger and 2 batteries as above which are 2 of your products.

They set alight tonight and burnt half my shed down causing a lot of damage.

I'd like to know who I can discuss this with and if there is an insurance for your products.

I would like this to be looked into serious and sorted out from your insurers as these are horizon hobbies products

Horizon Hobby volere 22

Horizon Hobby takes credit card numbers with backorder, then never delivers.

Backordered Volere 22 rc boat $249.00, gave credit card number on July 7, 2017. Delivery was supposed to be 6 weeks later in August. I went to the website in August because no product had been shipped. The estimated delivery date changed to late September, I waited a couple
weeks more then checked again and complained using the online chat to communicate. I said I don't think there is any intention to ship at all, and that I was suspicious because they were taking credit card numbers without delivering anything. It seemed like a ploy. After I complained, the chat person said I was banned from the website. I don't know if my order still stands or not. I wonder what they really do with the credit card numbers, and why bother if delivery is not dependable? Why not just say unavailable?

Even though it was chat, I could feel the rudeness. Order number: [protected]

Horizon Hobby Customer Service

I attempted to purchase an RC Buggy Losi K&N DBXL from Horizon Hobby. I made the full payment using PayPal of £1120.54 including postage. The payment seemed to have went through as I received email confirmation of the order. However, the next day I received an email from their websales people saying "Unfortunately, your order with Horizon Hobby could not be processed due to an issue with your payment" They also mentioned "If you have any questions, please call [protected] or email [protected]@horizonhobby.com"
I emailed them (I'm working abroad so calling costs a fortune) My first email I asked if they could elaborate further about the 'payment difficulty' and I will contact PayPal to get it fixed.. No reply from them.
A few days later I checked my online banking and seen that the money amount I tried to send has been deducted from my bank balance with a statement saying "Transaction has been authorized for payment to Borderfree/ Horizon Hobby, and awaiting recipient to remove from your account." So I emailed Horizon Hobby again also attaching an extract of my bank statement regarding this. I asked "Since you have cancelled my order because you cannot process it, and since you have not responded to my last enquiry, I assume you are not interested in helping to resolve the issue. Therefore please could you also cancel the payment I made so I can have it released back into my bank balance, because I now need these funds to make the purchase elsewhere." Still no reply from them at all..
This has been going on for nearly a week now, and the £1120.54 payment I made is still reserved/frozen in my bank account as being reserved and authorized for Borderfree/ Horizon Hobby to take.
Horizon Hobby are not being helpful with this at all by just ignoring my emails, and as a result I will not be making any further purchases with them again.

Now all I can think of doing is to dispute the transaction with PayPal to get this money authorization canceled and inform my bank to let me use this money again. But I believe this can take up to 2 weeks to accomplish this.

Horizon Hobby Delivery of my product.

I order a j-3 cub parts and they sent them via fedex smart ship. This is the worst service a person can get. A while back I order a nose cowl for another j-3 cub and they sent me the wrong one. I have been waiting for a long time to get a return tag to send back but nothing. Every time I buy something from them I have problems with Horizon Hobby's. I will never buy anything from them and will tell all my modeling friends how bad they are.

Don't understand how an order can get screwed up, by a person who's job it is to process orders, and i'm sure they checed the billing part to get paid, right?wellthe shipping address was the same as the billing adrees except for the zip code duh

I have bought several items from horizon hobbies, and the service WAS great but now its the pitts, i ordered the hover craft on special for 99.00 and waited, after two weeks I asked them where it was.the expenation I finally got from them was the shipment was sent to the wrong address, because off the wrong zip code wason the correct shipping address, that I supposedly gave them. and they had to wait and see what the receiver on that end was going to do about theshippment I think the end is near for the shipping dept horizon, with no customers to ship to.

Horizon Hobby Promised information about new order and I got nothing

OMG. Don’t deal or buy from the company Horizon Hobby Inc. I bought one item from this terrible company, but the seller shipped me the item, which was in scratches. I took pics as a proof and contacted the seller. He told me that they would prepare and ship new order on Monday, but couple of Mondays already passed, but the seller still hasn’t replied to my emails. Not recommended and amateurish company.

Horizon Hobby Bad Model Aircraft

I purchased the E-Flite FPV Vapor RTF radio-controlled model aircraft (EFLU6600) by Horizon Hobby. The first day I flew it, one of the wheel struts snapped off on landing. I complained to the retailer, ReadyMadeRC, that I believed the carbon fiber from which the struts was made was too fragile, especially considering that the struts are the component subjected to the most stress during use. The retailer responded that the user is responsible for “crash” damage, and a “crash” is defined as any situation where impact is hard enough to damage parts, including hard landings. They also asserted that I should have packed up the aircraft and sent it back without using it if I believed the struts were defective, but how was I supposed to know that without flying the aircraft? As such, they denied any responsibility. How convenient it is for them to have a policy that says (i) you are supposed to find latent defects before using the product (even though the term latent means you can’t see them), and (ii) by definition, any breakage is deemed to be the result of a crash. This policy allows them to avoid liability under any circumstance whatsoever. The retailer indicated that Horizon Hobby took the same position. I communicated with Horizon Hobby to suggest that they redesign this particular aircraft to use wire wheel struts instead of carbon fiber so that they will bend, but not break, under stress, but it looks like I am stuck with a flawed aircraft unless I can figure out a way to install wire struts on it myself. Bottom line is that neither Horizon Hobby nor ReadyMadeRC is a customer-friendly or consumer oriented company. BEWARE, and don’t expect either of them to provide any redress if you have a problem!

Last year I bought a stratocam airplane from them. I have been having trouble with it ever since. It doesn't fly right and when you land it, it completely disassembles itself. So I called them again today. They said there was nothing they could do for me. I will not be buying anything from them again.
