I signed online for this card February 2, 2007, thinking that it was a mastercard or visa. I waited two weeks for the card to arrive. Meanwhile then took the 79.95 from my account immediately. When the card arrived I was stunned to see that it was neither a mastercard nor a visa. You have to log into a site and shop for their products and they say they report this to TransUnion. I sent two emails immediately for they was closed. I told them that I thought they were dishonest and that they had deceived me. The very next day I got three emails from this company and also called and was told they would credit me 34.95 back to my account. I said I would contact my attorney general office, then I was place on hold. Okay, we will credit you 59.95 back. I said, you took 79.95 from me, I want all my money back for I never used any of your services nor did I order any of your junk. Needless to say, 20.00 is still outstanding and it will fight for it. Below is a couple of emails from this company.

We have canceled your account. Cancellation confirmation is 31647. Also, your refund of $59.95 was processed, it should appear back in your account in 24-72 hours.

I am sorry that you feel you were "scammed". First and foremost, remember that the Horizon Gold Card was designed to help people re-establish their credit. Is this what you are looking to do? It's difficult and very risky to offer high-end items to a customer base that is rebuilding credit. Plus, large items are expensive to ship.

Credit works the same whether you are using a credit card on a shopping site or to purchase gas. Our card is a true credit card that reports back to a major credit bureau every 30 days.

We do have a partner site we can provide you with that offers a Visa. They do require an employment check as well as a credit check. Is your credit score high enough to support being approved for a Visa right now?

Being very familiar with our advertising, I know that Horizon Card Services does not advertise our Gold Card with a Visa or MasterCard logo. That WOULD be deceitful. We also make ALL Terms and Conditions available to applicants during the application process. I've attached a copy in order for you to review again.

We do require all of our customers wishing to cancel to call our Member Services at toll free 1.800.251.6144.

I am very disappointed in this company. I never thought I was getting a card to shop online for the garbage that I see on the site. I really feel scammed by this company and will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. I never thought that once you took the 79.95 from my account that I was not getting a credit card (visa or mastercard) you have deceived me and I am really upset about this. Your merchandise is trash.

    I don't know how in the world could you guys just take money from others people account, and this is not a real cried card we can't even use it at the grocery stores or at the shopping malls, so can you return my money please thank you sincerely yours Tracey crowder

    I've been charged a 6.95 fee from my debit card and I want my refund did not order the horizon Card Services so there for I should get my cash back

    My bank was charged 6.95 from horizon card service and I don't have any credit card or online credit with them I do not want to open any line of credit I want my money back I did not authorize any charges

    They charged me 6.95 twice and I never signed up for this I need refund I seen it in my email but did not order this card how they got my credit card number I have no clue please help thank you

    Hello my name is Dannie Mason and I been canceled this [censored]. If I don't get my money back asap I'm going to contact the better business BUREAU and FCC about your fraudulent charges against me. I call 2or 3 times to cancel. Don't take another dime from me.

    Hi I called twice yesterday to unsuspend my account and I paid the $6.85 to do so. I never received my card so an electronic one was supposed to be emailed to me for now and I never received the email. I am very upset and would like my card so I can use it or my money back.

    I was lead to believe the card could be used in multiple places. Lots of hidden charges. I am on social security and cannot afford this type of card. I feel like I am being taken advantage of and want a refund on their initial fee of $29.95 and cancel card.

    This card is an absolute joke!! I'm being charged 26 dollars a month(and have been for quite some time now) for a card I can't [censored]ing use!! I will be contacting an attorney as well as the better business bureau!! Trust and believe I'm getting my money back!!

    I tried getting a card through y'all and I wasn't approved but ur trying to take the money off a card I have no money on nor did i receive credit so I'm asking u to please stop before u put me in the negative with my card!     I have Emailed you all twice asking that you all not charge my prepaid card at all, because I gave you all the wrong number and I don't the card charged. My Card better not be charged.

    Simone was tryna order a card and it took money off my actual debit bank card with was 30 sumthin dollars . I'm tryna get n touch with y'all customer care repp today .. I will be calln back around 8 or 9 I need to speak to someone this is not right

    I was taken to this horixan gold site and did not order a credit card or anything. The next thing I know they are taking money from my debit card without any authorization. How can thy do this. I am on disability and cannot afford this type of thing.

    I have been charged ever month for over a year $24.95. I was never aware when I applied for the credit card, that I would have to pay monthly. I don't want this account. I have never used it. What this company is doing is robbing every person that is trying to make a life for themselves.

    My debit card was charged for the amount of $6.95 I had already unsubscribed to it why did it just charge my debit again for $6.95 ???? I want my full refund for both charges and I want you to stop charging my account

    Past two months I have had unauthorized fees deducted from my account. I did not authorize this and I want my money back, $7.95 deducted this month and last month. I don't even own a Horizon card!

    I thought I was getting a real credit card what a joke! I will not activate it, it's only for online crap, i am trying to better my credit but not like this. It is very misleading and you can't talk to a live person what's up with that??

    I made my payment on time and paid down extra on my bill but im order for my credit score to rebound i need this stuff reported to tje credit bureaus and it s not beong. Reported what's the sense if your not doing your part

    I want to be assured my card is on the way I want to know why it said insufficient funds and still took the money off I have a photo attached to confirm horizoncard took money out with know assurity

    I did not apply for this card. I was charged 24 dollars and want a refund. You can reach me at [protected]. Please cancel this card. I lost my phone and have not recovered it, my wallet too, so someoneone else applied for this, i did not.

    I applied for the Horizon Gold credit card because they advertised building up you credit if you had a bad credit rating. I lost my business in 2009 and had to file bankruptcy. The card is a scam because they do not report to the credit bureau. You have to buy their "junk" then pay their enormous percent plus pay a $8.40 for shipping and $8.80 handling on a $7.00 item that I was going to try to see what they did, on something that would fit in an envelope. They charged me $24.95 each month that is bank drafted that I did not authorize. This has been going on since May, 2011 and I now have to close my account just to get out from under it and I hope they try to come after me. THIS IS JUST NOT RIGHT. Everyone should have to obey the same laws. If I did this, I would still have 41/2 years to serve behind bars.
    They will not answer the phone, email or snail mail. There is no way to get in touch with them to talk this through. Someone has got to do something to stop this kind of business practice.

    My wife receive this horizon gold card in the mail last night. Since im a goggle freak i googled horizon gold fraud just to c who these people really are and if there has been any complaint against them needless to say i came upon this website. There's too much complaint against them so i ripped it up for her. I did a little research on them and this is for the people who have ben scam, here goes. Horizon gold address is 1707 Warren Road Indiana, PA 15701 US.     I applied on line for a Horizon Gold Credit Card on 9/7/07. In checking my bank balance on 9/11/07 after making a deposit, I found that I had been charged $149.00 by Consumer Trust whom I have never heard of. I got a phone number from the bank, I then called this Consumer Trust Finance . I informed the lady that answered of my complaint, she informed me that this was for a $2500. catalog shopping spree on line. I informed her that I was going to dispute this, as I never ordered this. She then stated that my account had been canceled. I then asked her about my money that had been taken out of my account, I received no specific answer as to whether my money would be returned.

    The Horizon Gold Card is nothing more than a Internet Rip-off Scam. They milked my account for 149.00 and told me that my account with them was being cancelled and was being sent to their dispute-resolution section. (nothing about a refund was mentioned) I went to my bank, closed my old account and opened a new one. I know that if they don't give the bank back their money, they will be prosecuted. This is what I suggest everyone should do who has been ripped off by this rogue company. You should also lodge a complaint with the BBB.

    Well Here goes ...Horizon Gold CRedit Card Thats Right thats the First trick.......You think credit Visa/ Master Card NOOOOOO ITS NOT......2nd they want you in your dessperation to forget about the terms agreement involed so its not really avaialbe to read to much later on down the road......3rd trick you can not view there wonderful shopping site until you are approved MEMBERS ONLY FIRST THEN you can see the crappy stuff for sale that you would not even give to your worst enemy. Also your credit does not get reported for 60 - 90 days so expect to be pateint. 4th trick In the mean time watch your credit with them closely. Horizon Gold right from the start Got my address wrong then....maybe so they can delay the cancellation process by the time you firgure out whats going on. then its to late they got your money BYE BYE. it you fight them you will still be paying 20.00 for a piece of s plastic. 5th trick when you stay on with them they said my other credit card company wont pay them there monthy fee of $ 6.00 maintenance fee i have plenty of avaiable funds for them...in the mean time they suspened my account twice with no notifcation.............i asked if i didnt check all there mistakes would could you suspending my account effect my credit .......they said yes ........Just think this company pushes how they can help rebuild your credit yeah right beware of this company .............. thats another thing they send no statement to you at all...I asked if i cancell would it affect my credit they said it wont be a postive .....when i spoke with supervisiors they had an answer for everthing ...they say now i have to call them to make sure the payment goes through.... what an inconvience i dont trust this company at all but it seems i AM STUCK WITH THEM FOR NOW....jUST BEWARE AN WAtch them like a hawk......also there customer service in no good not professional at all.....I KEEP PRESSING THEM FOR SOME DECENT ANSWERS THEY SAID SORRY I HAVING a long day iam tried ....I WONDER WHY!!!!!1

    i filled out horizons app, i thought i was getting a regular credit card. this is a misleading offer and i am very upset because i just gave them the rest of the money i had for the month to live on. i see they did this to a lot of people its like highway robbery, I would like to know if something can be done with this frequent problem. tyvm

    These people said that i could use this card any time and now i can't even get logged on to their website to do anything. When i first got the card i called them and told them to refund the money that they took out of my acct because i had changed my mind. Well they talked me into keeping it and refunding half well now when i get done, they will do more than refund the rest of what they owe me.
