Unathorized Lien Holder Authorization Letter as U.S. Army Government Service Employee
I am a Government Civil Service Employee and an active component of the U.S. Navy supporting our troops in the USA and Overseas. I have active Military orders for a Permanent Change of Station to Naples, Italy. I called Honda Financial to obtain a Lien Holder Authorization Letter to have my car shipped and for the port authorities. Honda states they do not provide letters to the Civilian Military component.
I am disappointed that Honda Financial does not support U.S. Federal Employees as we support our troops overseas. Very unpatriotic! I have made 3 auto purchases from Honda in the past. I will no longer be purchasing Honda autos from henceforth.
Desired outcome: Honda should support the civilian GS Military employees and authorize shipping vehicles along with our Military Active Members.
Toll Payment
I received a letter on 01/24/2022 from Honda Financial Services indicating they paid a parking or traffic violation from MTA Bridges and Tunnels for my vehicle. The violation is actually just a toll. The total bill amounts to $57.50, which is well beyond the amount of the toll. I called Honda Financial Services and they confessed the amount of the bill was mostly due to late fees (third notice); however, I never received any notice at all. I only received the 01/24/2022 letter. Honda claims they never received notices one or two; only that they received the third notice, which triggered them to pay. I contacted MTA Bridges and Tunnels and they confirmed they sent ALL notices to Honda Financial Services.
Honda continues to tell me that I am responsible for the total amount of $57.50 and that there is no appeals process and that any supervisory review would result in no change.
Desired outcome: I am more than willing to pay the original amount of the toll; Honda should be responsible for the late fees, which make up the vast majority of the total.
The customer service representative was rude and hung up and me and took an extra payment
I called to make my payment as I always do and it did not take my payment the first time, the second time I wasn't given a confirmation and was told to contact customer service, so I did. When I spoke to the girl Jasmine she did not tell me that the second time I made I made the payment and she continued to wait till after taking another payment to tell me that there was another payment pending.
My issue is if she saw that there was already a payment pending why take another payment. I am a nursing student and work part time. I live on a budget and some of that money was from my student loan to pay for my books which i needed this week and groceries. Basically, the girl told me that I needed to put a stop payment through my bank because honda couldn't do anything. By the way, both times I tried to reach a real person it took and hour just to find out the can't do anything. The worst part was the second time a called I waited the hour and the girl was rude and hung up on her. I understand I was asking a lot of questions but this is my money and i deserve some answers. This is the first time I have ever called a call center and the representative hung up on me. It is unprofessional.

Paid off but not received my title over one month

I paid off my loan on Dec 28, 2021, but I have not received my title by now, I called this number which is the only contact in web : [protected], I called at least 10 times, each time lisen the music at least 30 minutes, 2 times over 60 minutes, but never get a people pick up the phone, I want know the status of my title, but never get a people to answer me, I really disappoint with Honda, I wish I never have any business with Honda, this is the worst customer service I have ever met, I have another car Toyota, every time I will be in talk within 5 minutes, the big difference make me really disapooint with Honda, I will never recomend any friend with Honda because what I experience suck customer service, if you are a leader, please try yourseof to call [protected], see how long you can get a poeple to pick up the phone.
I just want to get back my title because I have paid off, it is over one month, I never have the chance to know what is going on, the auto voice only tell me I have paid off my loan, but never be able to know when I can get back title, please call me if someone really take customer as people, my number is [protected]
Same situation. I called back after a month, waited for more than 60 min, and was told that my address was "insufficient". However, I confirmed the address that they have on file (which they used to mail out the title), was my exact address. I asked them that I need to bring the title to DMV within 30 days or something but then now it passed that days, I might ended up paying for the penalty or fine. They said they don't know and will resend the title using the same address. I guess all I can do is just waiting (which has been more than a month already). Not acceptable.
Paid off my 2021 CRV. I received the title 2 weeks later no issues or problems. Title was mailed from the DMV. Most states receive title electronically from Honda Financial. Dmv issues New Title.
Payment
I paid for a lease extension after my lease matured. Honda repossessed the vehicle. I was told I could pay my car off in full or pay $400 to reinstate the vehicle plus additional fees from the agency that picked up the car. When this is their mistake. Absolutely horrible! I was charged the payment was cleared but they refuse to pay for their mistakes or return the vehicle.
Honda financial
I purchased a 5 year maintenance program for my new Honda CRV at time of new car purchase (2020) when the car came due for service, I found out I was locked into the dealer I purchased the car from which is not close to my home, in fact I drive by another dealer to get there. I thought the program was through American Honda and I could take it to any dealer for service, not so. I asked if they could transfer it to another dealer and was told no but I could cancel it and they would issue me a check. I thought ok lets do it and I will pay the new dealer and I set.
Well, it turns out Because the car is not paid off the check goes to Honda Financial to be placed on the loan balance. So now I don't have a prepaid maintenance program. I called the dealer to stop the payment and was told they already mailed the check and would have to take it up with Honda Fi.
Honda Fi says they have not received the funds but when they do it can't be reversed.
This seem like a very ridged policy and is certainly but customer friendly. It seems if the Honda hasn't received the fund to put on the balance this should be fixable. HELP
I either want the check sent to the dealer closest to my house or send me the check or cancel the request and I well just have to commute to the original dealer for service.
Overdrafts
I absolutely HATE dealing with Honda Financial services they will over draft your account because they take their time pulling the money off your account for example I attempted to pay my car off on the 15 and it is now December 21 and the money is still on my account I have other bills being drafted from this account so when Honda finally decides they want to draft the money they end up over drafting my account instead of taking the money out right then and there or 1-2 business days like other business ITS RIDICULOUS and I'm fed up with them I do not recommend ANYONE deal with this company
Lien release

I paid off my 2019 Honda Odyssey and I never received the title. When I called Honda Financial Services 2 months later, they agreed to mail me something in the mail that will release them as a lienholder. I received a notarized RE227 form and a letter stating that this is a lien clearance. I tried to process the paperwork at AAA but they can't do it. I have to go down to the DMV to remove them as a lienholder and request a new title. I have financed car loans with other banks, credit unions and other financial companies and all of them had removed themselves from the vehicle title once the car is paid in full. Honda Financial Services said it is the owner's responsibility to remove them as the lienholder and go down to DMV to do all the paperwork. Bad customer service and I will never ever buy or finance another vehicle from Honda again.
Desired outcome: Apology and change company paid off / lien transfer policy.

Our 2012 Honda was totaled after an accident, AAA of MI offered $21, 000 which we've put towards new Honda (big mistake was thru Honda Finance!). We can't get our check unless lien release with signature is mailed!

Paid off lease but can NOT get the TITLE
This is the most ridiculous process. I paid the car off June 3rd. I completed the paper work for the title and we still DO NOT HAVE it. The staff you have answering the phone are NOT helpful and have been taught what to say that really means nothing. I would never ever buy or lease a HONDA again.
I am currently on hold and have been for the last 48 minutes. I called last week twice and was on hold for an hour each time.
The staff need to have a better process for handling phone calls and knowing what the right answer is.
I can't help but think that had I not paid it off and one of your dealership was asking for this it would be there already. This is NOT customer service at ALL.

I am complaining about Honda taking two payments out in one month. Honda rep is making it hard to speak with a manager after my claim was submitted. All I want is my refund back on my bank card. As an Honda employee I'm really disappointed. 3 different reps did not help. I will also email Jeff Conrad who is senior Vice President and general manager at Honda division. To whom it may concern,
In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act Section 611 (15 U.S. C. § 1681I), I am practicing my right to challenge questionable information that I have found on my personal credit report. I do not approve the information listed below and request that you investigate further.
Issue 1: remove 30 day late payments notice from my credit file from American Honda (see attached Transunion report).
I have contacted American Honda customer support line few times regarding this issue and explained what happened and didn't hear back after. I have set up an auto pay from the day one and never missed a payments. However upon moving to IL state from NY, I changed my license plate and there was a property tax initiated on my account for the month of August 2020 which I was never aware off. I was never contacted, not even an email/ letter or any phone call regarding this additional charges. My auto pay was still on and I thought everything was taken care off. One day I thought of taking a look at my statement and that's when I realized about the charges and made payment over the phone right way. However, by then it was already been reported to credit bureau. There was no fault from my side and I had no way of knowing of such charges. Therefore, I humbly request to take the late payments off from my credit file before I contact with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to lodge a complaint against the creditor.
Issue 2: no auto loan info is being found on Experian
Upon checking my Experian reports for months after months, I have never seen the auto loan information being reported. I have contacted both parties regarding this issue and was only told to get in touch with other party (easiest solutions someone could offer). However, American honda have confirmed me multiple times that it's being reported from their side, I had requested for a copy of such report and never received to date. I do see that being reported on my Transunion though. Therefore, I would like you to take the necessary steps to make sure it gets reported with Experian and also provide me a copy of it so that I can get back to Experian with proof and may be lodge a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).
I am allowing you 30 days to complete this investigation after which I authorize you to mail me my my updated credit reports along with the investigation results.
Account payment
I haven't even written anything and I'm already consumed with dread. Every time I receive my statement from Honda Financial Services, something is always wrong. I purchased my certified 2015 Honda CRV in February of this year, and since the first statement I've had several calls about missing or incomplete payments; despite having bank statements saying otherwise. I pay two times every month, which was explained to me to be half my principal and half interest, however, every statement despite having to be the same every month is different. In August, they took $4.00 of my first payment and put towards the interest and took the rest as my interest which makes no freaking sense.
On any other car that I've owned, I've never had to pay for an enrollment service fee, either. I would assume that I wouldn't have to pay another company, Uptempo, to pay my monthly car bill either.
Every time I've called, the agents were rude and snarky. The woman named Vanessa, who refused to give me her last name, told us that the first payment or record of our account in her system was in january. We bought the car in february, which just goes to show that she wasn't looking at the right account or didn't have a clue about what she was doing.
Clean title
Had a call today with Customer Support: Zach P, Case Number:201423480, he says the electronic title release sent to DMV, upon verifying the address, go to know they missed some part of my address, and when i ask them, they are referring to contact DMV, i am in different state now, title was sent to different DMV, now do, i have to work with both DMV's to get a clear title; for the simple mistake of not enter proper address from there end; long wait time for customer support, even after the mentioned time; the call did not connected, have to recall again to speak to an agent...
its's been almost 12 days, there is no call back from the customer support team at all.

I need to have a document sent to my MVA in South Caroline to transfer my leased car from Maryland to South Caroline
For the last 2 weeks trying to contact Customer Service to have my lease attorney sent by fax to MVA. I stayed + 4 hours over the phone waiting to be attended. Until now I have no success
None of the options over the phone goes to that service.
Please help me with the correct phone!

I have attempted numerous times to get questions answered about my account. Specifically, why am I being charged late fees when the account is paid monthly. Also, there is a charge that makes no sense and the answer I receive makes no sense
The customer service reps are rude and give me scripted answers. When I ask to speak to a supervisor i'm told I will receive a return phone call that never happens.
Getting a clear title
I OWN a 2019 Honda CRV that I had a loan with Honda finance for. Someone there put two loans against MY car and they refuse to clear them both. I paid my car off in June and can NOT get a clear title because there is an electronic lean against it from American Honda Finance. The lean number is 2058423. I have given this to the company when I call which has been many calls and no one will take care of it. My last resort is an attorney and sue Honda Finance I NEVER had two loans on my car. My personal opinion is that someone put a lean on my car and gave a buddy a clear title. People at AHF say they are monitoring it and I take that to be we put it in the trash can. I have a notarized copy of the release of lean but the state of N.C. has to have the electronic one released. I will NEVER use them again!
Lease assumption
This is the worst company to work with. I have been trying to get a lease assumption done for the past 2 and half months with no success. The person who is assuming the lease was approved since may 2020 and until today july 22nd, 2020 nothing is done. I have been calling almost daily and on the line for hours with no definite answer. Everyday is another day or another couple days which end up to 67 freaking days already and guess what honda and it's team don't give a damn about their customers. I would never recommend anyone to this company. This is one of the worst I have experience thus far and wouldn't want anyone to go through this. I'm done with honda.

Due to COVID 19 I got stuck up in India and now I am not able reach back to USA and I want to sell my car. I need the latest financial statements and I lost my password to log in into account and not able to reset due to system giving error as invalid data. I tried to reach the customer care number for the past 3 weeks and the numbers are not getting connected there is no facility for getting call back. There is no email id to request help from them. I want to sell my vehicle and I got stuck up. I am missing the sale deals due to this problem. Now I don't have job and I cannot pay my instalments. Cannot get into my on line account to make a monthly payment.
I have paid on time for 4 years and now they've assessed a late fee and I'm not late on my monthly payment. I cannot get through to HFS; I keep getting a message that due to an emergency, their site or phone number is not operating. I have been trying for 72 hours to get through to them via the internet and on the phone with no success. Everytime I call I get this message: "due to emergency conditions, our offices are closed". I don't know how to make a payment which is due today, June 12, 2020.
Honda Financial Services experienced a serious systems problem which resulted in anyone's ability to access their on-line account. I did not realize this problem when I posted my complaint which I now consider invalid. My situation is now resolved.
