We hired Homepro to do a cleaning and inspection of the HVAC system and humidifier on 9/9. The seller's realtor was supposed to let them in - I wasn't there. We got a voicemail saying "Everything looked good." My realtor and I asked multiple times for a copy of the report: they said they gave it to the seller's realtor (she said she didn't get it). I called and got Rich or Rick; he said he'd give it to us when he could get back to the office. I got a short receipt (no report) on 10/22, dated 10/22. When it got colder in November, we turned on the humidifier. It flooded part of the basement and we turned it off. I called a different company (they came Nov. 25). They took off the cover and said "Here's the problem - there's no pad at all. The hose is just dropped down into the plenum. There's nothing to stop the water." Also, the filter was disgusting - it's a 1" filter that hadn't been changed for a long time - definitely would've been noticed by someone who inspected and did maintenance, and should've been covered in an HVAC cleaning. I called and asked for a refund of the inspection and cleaning, since the inspection was either not done or caused damage AND the cleaning was not done. I was told "I'll call the realtors and get back to you." (12/21). Our realtor hasn't been called and my calls haven't been returned. Also, Rick said he "had pictures from the inspection" but did have to admit that the pictures showed the humidifier pad on the floor - not installed. I do have a picture of the humidifier right after the other company opened it and before they fixed it. I didn't take a picture of the horrific filter, which obviously hadn't been cleaned, replaced, or inspected.
