I refer to my two reviews below which I posted on TrustPilot and still no response from Hillarys who are supposed to have a good reputation for excellence? When are you going to offer me a reasonable solution?

I had 7 motorised blinds fitted by Hillarys at the end of 2024 in a very sunny room. Initially, the batteries lasted around 4–6 weeks, which I was happy with. However, after just a couple of months following installation, 2 blinds now last just 14 days and 1 only 16 days, while the others last 4–5 weeks. Why such a huge inconsistency?

To be fair, I am happy with how the blinds look and operate when they are working. My main frustration is the battery life and, particularly, the lack of after-sales service. Hillarys eventually sent a contractor, Connor, who recommended solar panels to potentially extend the battery life. He was due to return in June to put them in, but cancelled on the day. Despite numerous calls, texts and emails to him, and 2 emails to Hillarys, I have received no response whatsoever. It has now been 3 months, and I have simply been ignored, despite them knowing how unhappy I am.

I was also assured that the amount of sunlight in the room would not affect the duration of the batteries. If that is the case, why are 2 of my blinds running out after only 14 days? I find this extremely disappointing from a company that is supposed to have a good reputation. I don't think expecting a response to repeated emails and messages is unreasonable.

Hillarys, I am not asking for perfection, I simply want you to investigate the problem and provide a solution. I actually like the blinds and would be happy with them if the battery issue could be resolved, and after 3 months of being ignored, I really feel I have no option but to raise this publicly.

Has anyone else experienced this with Hillarys motorised blinds? Surely I can't be the only one?

Recommendation: I would not recommend Hillarys based on their lack of customer services
