Blinds not measured correctly need to be replaced
The installer could see the blinds did not cover the glass door and looked terrible from inside and out. He re measured and said he would get in touch with designer who would get back to me. I heard from designer once and never again. These blinds need to be replaced.
My time and patience is wearing thin. If they want pictures the installer took pictures.
Claimed loss: Almost $1000.00 and time and patience
Desired outcome: Replace blinds.

Oracle alabaster magic screen roller blind
Having had a good experience before, we have been so disappointed with our purchase and lack of customer service. Choosing a magic blind for 3 windows we were expecting to be able to view outside as the picture in their online catalogue had shown. The ones we received were normal blinds with a close weave - not magic, except for making the outside totally...

In mid-February I went to my local Blinds to Go store and decided to place an order. The expectation was that the blinds would take 4-6 weeks to be installed. I did not have my blinds fully installed until the first week of June. Various issues arose - missing parts, blinds measured AND installed incorrectly. While I currently have the blinds up, I wish I...

Window blinds
Kim sales route came to my house. We picked out kitchen roller shades and different blinds. For the other brothers had a conversation with her After her opinion, we both agreed that the black might be a little bit too heavy, so we switched She sent me a text message that she likes me. She'll keep the price the same if she could use my swimming pool LOL then she sends me an invoice. That's about three hundred dollars more and I call her Now it's been two weeks, and i'm being ignored I was promised by corporate that her supervisor stacy would would cally when she got back from vacation that was two days ago. No response when I contact kim I get short answers that it's in stacy Well, you're holding on to $1700 of my money as a deposit. Did you order the window blinds did you not order the window blind I have no answer this company is a rip off
Desired outcome: Refund And small claims court for damages if not Handle the accordingly
Blinds To Go
I had one of their blind experts come out to give me a quote. I continue with the purchase. The expert gave me her expert opinion on the blind color that best matched my existing blinds. The day of installation Oct 24, 2022, I noticed the color was 2-3 shades darker then the swatch presented at selection. When I called the expert, she stated that she wound have the regional person to contact me, which she did. Debbie called on Oct 24, 2022 but was no help and had an excuse for everything including the weather condition. I purchased 4 blinds and paid over $2,000. Now I’m being told that I would have to pay 50% of the purchase price to have the color corrected. I relied on this company’s expert for her opinion and now I’m being penalized. I was only told that once my order went to production I wound not be able to cancel, nothing about no exchanges or corrections.
Desired outcome: I would like for Blinds to Go to honor their work and have more of a commitment to customer service.
Order # 574026
Hi There. My order was placed in last week of June. Received wrong order in last week of August. Then again received wrong order in September. It is very disappointing. I paid for this order. Horrible service. I been using blinds to go in Canada for last 20 yrs. But this time I ordered in US for my US home. Horrible experience. I sent email to Kaylee Seales, she did not reply even. Is there any supervisor in this complaint to follow this complaint, please. How would you compensate for receiving twice wrong order, damage my floor and windows? Designer name Jasmine Pippi. Jasmine asked send damage floor picture. I sent. No reply after that. Very poor customer service in US. Please reply my email. I will really appreciate that. Thanks.
Desired outcome: $9000 for compensation for wastage of time, damage floor, wrong order received twice, still not received right order. Order not received on time.
Blinds for entire home purchased in 2020. Master bedroom blind never fully closed.
Blinds for entire home purchased in 2020. Master bedroom blind never fully closed. I had the installer come back for adjustment soon after. Problem was not resolved though the installer tried. Pandemic hit and I am a senior with high risk status. I was working remotely up until recently. I was not able to allow for anyone from the outside to enter my home. I now feel more confident to have someone service what needs to be done in my home. The blind in my bedroom is priority as it doesn't fully close. Gap between the blinds is more pronounced. While there was a service warranty for the first year, I was unable to act as we were at the height of the pandemic up until recently when things calmed down. It is evident that I need the installer to come and take down the blind, bring it to Blinds to Go near me, have the blind serviced and then have the installer re-install it in my home. I am requesting that the service/installation warranty be applied now as this is the time I can let someone enter my home without posing a high risk to myself. My email [protected]@gmail.com Thank you
Desired outcome: Installer to take the blind to the store, have them fix it and installer to re-install the blind at my home. Have this service done within the warranty which is free.Thank you.
I’m home shopping and installation
Obviously that wasn't enough time so with some finagling arguing and him begging management he actually got permitted to finish installation of whatever we have in the house. None of them are correct there are issues with every single unit and frankly I've already contacted American Express to retract my payment to Blindstogo.
This is not an installer issue this isn't even a store issue because we dealt with Shop at home
This is a Jasmine Pippi issue and her team and the management around them. What kind of customer service are you offering? It seems like none at all except if you get a good installer like I did he'll counsel you as much as he can.
Buyer beware buyer beware buyer beware I do not and will never never recommend or shop again at Blindstogo
Desired outcome: Fix them make them as they should have been
The service of the carle place store #232
Ordered 12/17/21. Blinds and valance installed on 2/18/22. Installer had to order the ends that go on the valance. Told me that he would call me. I finally called 4/18th and paid another $40.00 for 2 end pieces. The store knew nothing about the installer ordering the ends. Ok what they do after you pay, they turn their heads. Called today 4/26/22, was told I would not get the ends and blinds finished off till June. It is going on 6 months. Is that acceptable? Net time I will go to Home Depot. I tell everyone what I am ging through.
Desired outcome: I want the product finished before Mother's Day.
My blinds - lost & still waiting (2 months)
I purchased a very large window treatment blinds for a french door several years ago and had blinds to go to professionally measure. I have been happy with the blinds for several years. However, the draw string broke sometime late november 2021 so I sent them in for repair. My blinds were tracked as "received" by blinds to go"warehouse mid dec 2021. When I did not receive my repaired blinds back by early jan 2022 I called to inquire and learned that my blinds had been lost by the warehouse (no notification to me). I was offered a replacement at no charge at that time but assured the measurements were not a problem since the company had those stored in the system. I finally received the new blinds about 2.5 weeks later and the blind measurements were grossly"off"and did not fit. Since that time, I have had nothing, but rude customer service reps accuse me of changing my window measurements and pass my calls to other reps. Prolonging this nightmare of customer service. It has now been 2 months that I have been without my window blinds and the customer service rep. Destiny claims she is working"so hard"to help me. As if this situation is my fault". When in fact "they" lost my blinds, and then sent replacement blinds based on incorrect measurements in their system that could have been incorrect for years. I have done nothing except wait on hold for hours for help and be passed around and told someone will call me back and 80% of the time that person does not, and I end up having to call them back to try to find out what is happening. I am so frustrated with the lack of care and service from blinds to go, that I would never recommend them to anyone. Blinds to go customer care has not delivered. Two months and still waiting in florida.
Desired outcome: I would like my original blinds back repaired! FIND THEM! I never wanted new blinds. I like my olde ones. An apology for the rude behavior of the customer service team, who on several occasions DID NOT return calls as promised.
Conservatory blinds
Hello
I have placed 3 orders for my conservatory. Total price £833.68. They have all been delivered.
The blinds are not fit for purpose. They do not stay open at all. I have contacted Blinds to Go since 12 April 2021 to say that the blinds do not work as stated on there website. I have asked for the blinds to be collected and a full refund. I have had leaflets and watched videos on how to fit them but to no avail. The instructions are not clear. The string to tighten the tension is difficult to manoevere into the ridges. Also they fall forward when opened fully. I am unable to get through to a manager named Usman to discuss my complaint I was told it would be a 24/48 hour call back. It has now been 4 days. I never speak to the same person, I am either disconnected or kept on hold for 30 minutes.
Order numbers:- B39109046wb and B39565079. Order number B39394247WB has been refunded.
I have had no communication from Blinds to Go, i am having to contact them daily.
"The Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 says that reasonable care and skill must be used when providing a service.
In my opinion, you did not use reasonable care and skill when you provided this service.
I want all the blinds returned back and give me a full refund as it is the whole room that is affected.
Desired outcome: Full Refund
Shade installation
Heath Wolpaw was sent to my house as a subcontractor from Blinds To Go to install 14 solar shades in my new sunroom. The cost was $3, 100. Aside from his arrogant attitude, the work he did was deplorable. The chain holders were screwed into the window jams at not only different lengths but different setbacks within the jams. The job he did literally looked like a 10 year old installed them. If Heath had any pride in his work or at the very least cared about more than installing as quick as possible he might have did a better job if he is capable. Do not hire this man or you will need to hire someone to come out to fix his shotty workmanship. Blinds To Go did acknowledge what a crap job he did and sent someone else to my home to fix this fiasco. BEWARE of this so called "installer".
Blinds
I walked into Blinds To Go at 275 Walt Whitman Drive in Huntington, and a female helper stood in a room beyond the customer service area and asked what I wanted. I told her in my normal voice that I wanted a replacement blind. I will not go into the details of what this person went on with and the shouting etc., but I said to my husband she must be either the owner or connected to the owner to be behaving like that. There was absolutely no reason for her bad behavior and I will not go back in that store to place my order. There are other places to buy blinds. Such poor behavior I don't have to tolerate.
Order time
Made an order on August 23rd and was told that the blinds will come on the second weekend of September. Still waiting.. Phoned to the store to ask where is my order. The sale rep said that the factory says my order is in backlog! Now they are telling me to wait until September 29th! So, if you like to wait for so long and do not have any other business but just phone them and discuss with people who are not responsible for what happened it's your company:(. I would never order from them in the future. It was huge mistake!
Two premeasured faux wood blinds measurements..
made arrangements on May 24, 2017 to have two blinds made... took measurements twice, as suggested by the employee... my measurements were exact...
When blinds were delivered the blinds were 291/8 instead of 295/8 which they should have been . When I installed them the valance did not cover the brackets so I called the store... was told that the size was correct and that it would not fit in the window otherwise and there always is some light that shows past the side of the blinds... when I complained about the valance I was told that I would get a new one made to the 30" size... to date I have not heard from the store... today is June 7, 2017...
Stay away from this company... besides their corporate office is in Canada...
Buy American... I stopped the credit card charge and that will make them do something..
Customer service
Very disappointed in the customer service I received. I had a problem with the measurements we provided. We took a loss of over $400.00., and currently have no window treatments. They are still in the box and will be thrown away. The company is not willing to work with us at all. Its when there is a problem that you find out who is a good business. I wouldn't recommend them at all. I'm extremely unhappy. Blinds to go shame on you!

I AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT THE COMPLAINT AGAINST BLINDS TO GO. I BOUGHT 7 ALUMINUM MINI BLINDS. FOUR OUT OF THE 7 BLINDS WERE DAMAGED AND ALL ON THE SAME SIDE OF EACH BLIND. IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THE MACHINE USED TO CUT THE BLINDS LEAVE CUTS AND SCRAPES. ONE WINDOW BLIND CAME BACK FROM THE FACTORY IN USEABLE CONDITION, THE OTHER 3 WERE SENT BACK TO THE FACTORY FOR THE SECOND TIME TO BE REDONE. WHAT I AM VERY ANGRY ABOUT IS THAT AFTER SPENDING $500, THE COMPANY WILL CREDIT ME ONLY $130 INCLUDING SALES TAX FOR THE 4 DAMAGED BLINDS. AT THIS POINT, I DON'T KNOW IF THE OTHE 3 WINDOW BLINDS WILL COME BACK IN USEABLE CONDITIION. I PLAN TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB AND POST A BLOG ON FACEBOOK TO NEVER BUY FROM BLINDS TO GO. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS.
The website is horrible and tests the customer patience. Adding the new recipient is pain. For eg: It does not take special characteristics, numbers etc. and the login id is not any username but a 8-10 digit number which no one will remember it.
Shades that break, uncaring customer service
We purchased four shades last year. In the first month of usage one blind broke twice and to have it repaired we had to return it to the store and then to drive there again to retrieve it. We had to learn how to uninstall and reinstall it ourselves. Now another shade has broken (one in a guest room that is rarely used and the shade is rarely lowered) and we have to go through the same process again. This merchandise is shoddy, to say the least, and the requirement that the customer take the shade down, put it up again (not easy with a high double shade!) as well a s make two trips each time shows a complete disregard for the customer by this company. You can be sure we will tell everyone we know never to use this company.
Lack of quality
Went to BTG, and gave them some blind sizes to get an estimate. Shopped around and found a small company Blindstoyourdoor.com, that sells high quality Blinds at a huge discount and crushed the prices of BTG. I don't understand BTG's advertising, saying they are inexpensive because they manufacture the blinds. I found that is not the case. I also noticed that the quality of their vertical tracks and some other components were a lot less in quality than my old ones, and a lot less quality than the new blinds that I finally purchased. Bottom line, I am just a little surprised, I expected more.
Cheap quality, high price
Anyone who prices around will clearly realize Blinds To Go is expensive. Blindstoyourdoor.com, an online site located in White Plains, NY, sells Graber blinds, which are much better quality. They were so much cheaper than Blinds To Go, I could not believe the price difference. I did not like the BTG store experience, and it seems like everyone that works their is new. They say they manufacture their blinds in the U.S., but some blinds are from China and Mexico. I highly recommend not purchasing blinds from them, unless you want to waste your money.

Illegal interview questions
http://www.careerlinkbc.com/interview04.html
(Link for what's illegal/legal in interview questions.)
Looking into that, I never realized how many illegal questions they have asked me until I started venting about it and people told me their questions were illegal. I looked it up and sure enough, almost all of their questions were irrelevant to the position..."Designer Consultant".
Every time they ask me, they wrote my answer unto to their piece of paper and I had no idea how it was relevant. Due to my desperation for a job, I thought it's necessary to answer it all. I was basically grilled by 2 individuals back to back for over an hour on things that I thought were a little too personal. Here are some of the questions I was asked that I did not find relevant to the position I was applying for, but yes, I answered eitherway:
- Where have you been looking for your job? (website addresses)
- List of companies you have applied for?
- What do your parents do for a living?
- Did you apply for a position in your mother's workplace? Why not? (my mother is a factory worker and with my received degree, my goal is to have atleast a less physically straining position)
- Do you have any siblings?
- What is your sibling's job?
- What is your sibling's spouse's job?
- Do your sibling and the spouse live with you?
- Why aren't the other companies calling you back?
- Why didn't you contact them back them when they didn't call you back?
- Why couldn't you get a job if you say you've been applying to jobs on a regular basis?
- What have you been doing in order to land a job? (this one really confused me)
- How much were you making on your side-business?
- How did you manage to pay for your bills if you were only making X amount?
- *Insert smart-### tone* You must have made A LOT of money to be able to not work and still manage to pay for your bills?
- Did you pay for your school tuition?
- Do you live at home with your parents or by yourself?
- Do you plan on moving out?
- Are your parents going to be supportive if you move out?
- *Insert smart-### tone* No wonder you were able to stay unemployed for a long time, you just lived at home. (ummm...it's called recession!)
These are the only things I can think of at the back of my head, but seriously?! How are they relevant?! For over an hour I was being personally interrogated, I almost walked out on them. Oh well, I'll find out soon if I'm hired or not...lol!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Wow...I had my interview today and I was asked some of the same questions. I almost walked out because it was very intrusive and some of the questions were illegal. If i'm offered the position, I am NOT taking it. This one HR person sets the tone for the entire company. I do not want to be associated with them. Definitely going to file a complaint.
You should have WALKED OUT in a heartbeat! Sounds like this could be an investigative agency for maybe the state and Unemployment Compensation. Or someone trying to find out how much money you have, or have access to to sell you something coming at you from another direction. You should never have answered ANY of those questionable questions. AND if a jobsite asks for dates you graduated from high school or college, you should back out because that is a backhanded way of finding out your age! It's a tell not always accurate but close most of the time.
