My name Abdul Bari Kaleel Ahmed, my falconflyer # 17460910, I mostly choose Gulf Air for travel, also I recommended my relatives, friends and co-workers to book their tickets in Gulf Air. However, before few days the behavior of the staffs in Kuwait and Jeddah was extremely uncomfortable.
1. On 03.09.2025 around 4:45 am, I boarded at the Gulf Air (GF212) counter at Kuwait Intl. Airport to travel from Kuwait to Jeddah via Bahrain. I had a suitcase weighing 5 kg and a travel bag weighing 7 kg.
Since I have Ihram clothes for Umrah in suitcase, I took the suitcase in my hand. I put the travel bag in the luggage; The staff told me that the travel bag is not allowed in the luggage. She said to change it into a carton box. I spent two dinars and changed it into a new carton box and put it in the luggage.
However, none of the passengers who came to Jeddah from India were told anything like this at the airport. They did not change the travel bags to carton boxes. Even when I returned, they agreed to put the travel bag in the luggage at Jeddah airport.
I do not know why they behaved like this only in Kuwait. We want to know which airport staff behaved properly. In Kuwait, India, or Jeddah. It has caused mental stress and additional expenses during the journey. What is the action to be taken for this?
2. On 06.09.2025 around 11:00 am, I boarded at the Gulf Air (GF172) counter at Jeddah Intl. Airport to travel from Jeddah to Kuwait via Bahrain. I had a suitcase weighing 8 kg and a travel bag weighing 8 kg. I have a tourist visa, I purchased Zamzam water for 12.5 riyals after performing the holy Umrah. when boarding, the staff told me that, the Only those traveling on an Umrah visa are allowed to carry Zamzam water and not allowed Zamzam water even if performed Umrah on a tourist visa, they completely refused to put it in my luggage also.
That time I’m unable to carry the holy water that had bought for money or sell it to others, I gave it to the airport cleaner as a gift, and I returned to Kuwait without Zamzam Water.
If only those with Umrah visas were allowed to carry Zamzam water for free, why would they not allowed others to carry it in their luggage within the allowed weight limit?
Do those employees know that, how much mental pain and disappointment for passengers it was too complete Umrah and return without Zamzam water?
They (staffs) will get Zamzam water easily. They should realize how much trouble others have to go through. Everyone must will be eagerly waiting to drink the holy water.
I usually choose Gulf Air for travel, also I recommended my relatives, friends and co-workers to book their tickets in Gulf Air. However, the behavior of the staffs in Kuwait and Jeddah was extremely uncomfortable.
Thanks, and best regards.
