Global Sugar Art Cookie cutters

I wanted to purchase some cookie cutters. I am particular about avoiding Chinese manufactured goods especially for food preparation. I emailed customer service inquiring about the country of origin for the GSA branded cutters and was told that they were unequivocally made in the USA.

Accordingly, I placed nearly a $ 200.00 order only to have the box arrive with EVERY single cookie cutter clearly marked "heche in Chine".

It will undoubtedly take weeks for the money to be refunded to my credit card, and I am out both the money and the ability to complete my Christmas baking plans.

I fault GSA for taking their business off shore in the first place and then lying about it when a straight forward inquiry is received.

Do you really want some Chinese pot metal cookie cutters held together with lead solder to be part of your homemade gift to your friends and family? Buy American. Boycott this store.

Global Sugar Art Over priced Items

OVER PRIZED! I bought a zipper mold from them for $21.00 and I came to find out that there's another store selling it for only $15.00! I could've purchased another tool for the $6.00 difference! I asked if I could return it and no one returned my email! Don't shop there!

Don't shop at GSA. Their price just gets higher and higher. When they have the "Free shipping or 20% off whichever is less", they just jack up the price of everything by 20%. So you are basically not getting any deal. Don't be fooled! Their customer service gets worse every year, as well.

I live in Istanbul/Turkey. We have so many cake decorators and cake suplplies companies here. But sometimes i need some other type of tools or Satin Ice gumpaste etc and need to get them from somewhere else on the internet. Or sometimes i ask a friend who lives in US or UK. Last month one of my friends who live in CA was coming to Turkey for vacation and i decided to order from GSA for the first time. I always heard about their wide range of products and how people satisfied with the service. But my experience with Global Sugar Art was a total disaster!
Their name contains the word GLOBAL because they ship globally. But shipping from NY to Turkey is expensive, you know. So i ordered my cake tools and some gumpaste to be delivered to my friend’s address CA. Since i live in Turkey and have no idea about USA holidays, i didn’t know that 1st day of September is Labor Day in US and many companies doesn’t work. So i ordered without a notice and started to wait. They ship via UPS and i was checking UPS tracking page every day. UPS didn’t leave any tracking for 3 days long. Then i learnt that it is Labor day UPS doesnt work. So my package didnt arrive on time and my friend traveled to Turkey without my package.
I emailed them and asked for what to do. I dont want to take your time and make it too long but just want you know that they were rude, reluctant to solve the problem and writing me back pages long copying their company policies.
anyway, if they are GLOBAl, shouldn’t they have a warning or pop out notice or something else to make customers be sure if there will be a delay because of holidays? I live in another country. It shuldnt be expected to know global customers about every national US holiday
I managed to send the package back to GSA. It was a loooong and exhausting process because my friend was in Turkey. She asked one of her neighbour to take the package to the post office. I told them all these and they refunded me only half of the amount i paid! In fact, they had wrote me “they can ship the package to Turkey” but they refunded half instead. When i asked why i received this refund, one of the sales manager wrote me “i emailed you several times and received no response so we decided to refund”. What? I received NO EMAILS. And they didnt apologized for all of this mess!

I see most of people are happy with them and i am disappointed. Is it that hard to make a customer happy and continue to shop with them? I never and ever will shop from GSA and dont suggest anyone especially if you are ordering outside the US.

After speaking with a salesperson by phone at GSA, I placed an order for a larger number of pans. The next day they went on a pretty decent sale. I called and spoke with Melissa to see if they would allow the sale price to create a credit from the sale. She said that we have a sale banner on our website - so you should have known. I said that since I had called it in, why didn't the salesperson mention to wait a day? She said that a lot of our staff are not well trained. They would not issue a credit. A company that doesn't care about its customers, doesn't care enough to train their staff, have policies in place that are scorched earth, and have nothing to say for themselves. I do not recommend.

Their shipping is overpriced too. Many UK retailers are much more cheaper and ships everywhere very fast.

I see they are very good on responsing negative comments or complaints via "some real users" on the internet. But i received very rude service.

Most of their items are priced to be VERY competitive counter to what this complaint states. I have had the best customer service experiences from Global Sugar Art. Best in their industry. I've ordered from similar sites all around the country but none have the selection, pricing, fast shipping, or outstanding customer service that I've found at Global Sugar Art. If you need cake decorating supplies and the like, please do yourself a favor and don't go anywhere else but Global Sugar Art (http://www.globalsugarart.com)

I have purchased from Global Sugar Art for years. Their customer service and selection of products is the best in the business. I certainly would not take these complaints seriously. This whole complaint website has numerous made-up complaints that border on ridiculous.

Global Sugar Art What Rip Off!

Yes, the first complaint about this company is absolutely correct! I wish I would've seen this review before I placed my order. This company is raking money from over pricing their shipping cost...will never, ever, ever order from this company again! I will not be surprised if this company goes under because people will soon realize that this company is scamming them by over charging their shipping way too dang much!

Agree. They asked for over $30 to ship to CA. Many UK retailers ships from UK to "TURKEY" for £10 and they arrive under 1 week!
Global Sugar Art works with UPS and they didint put any notice on the website that orders may delay because of Labor Day. I live in Istanbul and have no idea about the Labor DAy. So my package didint arrive on day, i managed to send them back and they refunded me only half! (They say its shipping!)

Global Sugar Art DON'T SHOP THERE

I ordered a couple of things from this website. I liked that they have a variety of cake decorating things, but when my order got processed, I noticed that the shipping cost is on the high side. I thought that my order will need to be packed in a bigger box. When my order arrived, it was a small Priority Mail box that cost about $4.80 to send. I was charged more than double! I called and asked if they will refund the rest of my money and they told me that it includes handling, shipping and packaging materials. Heck! they get this box free from the post office, why do they need to charge me with packing? I know that their price includes their mark up already, why do they have to mark up the shipping as well? I will never, ever, ever shop from this website again!

Why not get a job so you can afford the shipping and handling prices, or better yet buy the product in store rather than online.

I placed an order for some products. The next day they had the same products on sale with discounts. I called to tell them if they can do a price difference since it was just yesterday. They said that they do not do price difference for orders process. It is just thier policy. Like come on! When you go to a store and buy something, the next day they had a huge sale and discount, you're saying stores cannot do the price difference? I think this is just plain cheating people of their hard earned money. DON'T SHOP IN THIS COMPANY. There are lots of other website and places where you can get items similar and cheaper. Like the other comments on about the shipping, these are no exaggeration... it is true they also try to rip you off with shipping. I wish I read this comments first before I ordered from them. I have cancelled my order because like the comment.. it is not the $4 or $5, its the principle that you know they are are ripping you off.

I placed a recent order for some product to only find they advertised a 15% discount the very next day through their email promotions. I called their "customer service" department and spoke with Jamie asking if Global Sugar Art would honor the discount on my order (placed less than 24 hours prior) and was told they could not do anything for me. I even inquired if I could receive a 15% coupon for a future order - again I was told no. Jamie claimed to have even ran this past the General Manager who would not even honor the published discount. I will never shop with this company again. Maybe Global Sugar Art should spend more time on Customer Service training because they did NOTHING to retain me as a customer. In addition - I was also overcharged for shipping on my order.

I hated their sniffy replies on the emails. I never ever will shop them again. Their name is GLOBAL but actually they are not.

Awful experiment shopping in Global sugar art!

I ordered a couple of things from the website.
I was told one item is out of stock When I received my parcel.
I try to calculate the shipping fee of the rest items same as I'd ordered on the website.
It's about $4 lower than the original order.
I was overcharged, I asked if they will refund my money.
But they are NOT willing to do so.
I even don't get a reasonable explanation.
It's nothing about $4 but the business honor of the company.
I will never ever shop from GSA again!

Counter to what the person posting this complaint states, I have had the best customer service experiences from Global Sugar Art. Best in their industry. I've ordered from similar sites all around the country but none have the selection, pricing, fast shipping, or outstanding customer service that I've found at Global Sugar Art. Shipping costs are always an issue on eCommerce sites so my guess is the person making this complaint is spoiled by the likes of the large retailers like Amazon. Global Sugar Art frequently runs free shipping specials that anyone can take advantage of should they choose to do so. If you need cake decorating supplies and the like, please do yourself a favor and don't go anywhere else but Global Sugar Art (http://www.globalsugarart.com)
