Fraser - Absolute scam
Absolute Scam in my opinion. The owner placed an order for a much more expensive engine than the one I submitted an online quote for. When I called to correct (the next morning, before the item was shipped), he said the engine I wanted wouldn't arrive in time, and threatened to sue me for the price of the more expensive engine if a canceled the order, and...

Read full review of Fraser and 1 commentAvoid Fraser Engines: My Disastrous Experience with Engine Replacement
I recently had the unfortunate experience of purchasing two replacement motors from Fraser Engines (found at fraserengineco.com) and regrettably, my experience was not a positive one. While I am not one to leave negative reviews lightly, I feel compelled to share my story in the hopes that others will avoid the headaches and financial loss I endured.
When I first purchased a DIY motor from Fraser Engines, it seemed like a great option to get my vehicle back up and running. Unfortunately, within just a few thousand miles, I began experiencing significant compression problems. Recognizing the issue, Fraser Engines sent me a replacement motor. This time around, however, they required that I use a shop to install the motor. While I was initially disappointed by this additional expense, I understood the need for a proper installation and was willing to follow their guidelines in the hopes of avoiding any future issues.
This hope, however, was short-lived. Within just 400 miles of driving with the second replacement motor, it failed. Frustrated and concerned, I brought it to the shop for inspection, only to discover that the motor had been built incorrectly. Understandably, I contacted Fraser Engines to address the issue, only to be told that they would not address the build quality problems on the second motor, leaving me to foot the bill yet again.
To make matters worse, I have been without my vehicle since the middle of December, which equates to a whopping five months of downtime due to the failure of the second motor. Both of the engine failures were mechanical in nature, with neither being attributable to improper installation. Rather, the Fraser technician even tried to suggest that the problem with the first engine was due to ethanol in the fuel.
With all of this in mind, I strongly urge anyone who is in the market for a replacement motor to avoid Fraser Engines at all costs. While their website may appear impressive, my experience has clearly demonstrated that their build quality and customer service do not live up to their claims. Save yourself the heartache and financial burden - find a more trustworthy engine replacement company.
Fraser Engine Co.: A Disappointing Experience with Warranty and Repair Costs
Recently, a consumer purchased a motor from Fraser (fraserengineco.com) and initially thought that they made a wonderful choice since they had purchased the motor warranty. However, they ended up having the motor replaced once and repaired, costing approximately $1,444.77 in recent repairs. The buyer's husband travels for work, and on his way to work in Grain Valley, MO, the motor failed again, leaving him with no other option but to find a nearby ship, which was approximately ten hours away from their home, resulting in another $400.00 in rental car expenses. It is frustrating to think that when you purchase a warranty, you would feel secure, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The buyer had spoken to Paul, who assured them that his supervisor had approved payment of the invoice, but unfortunately, no call back was made within 24 hours, which left the buyer feeling helpless. The customer had even sent photos of the invoice twice and called, but they still felt that they were not treated with the respect and dignity that they deserved. As a result of this poor service, the buyer felt disappointed and encourages future buyers to be aware of the potential pitfalls that accompany purchasing a motor warranty from Fraser.

Mixed Experience with Fraser Engine Company: High-Quality Engine but Poor Customer Service
I recently attempted to purchase an engine from Fraser Engine Company, but unfortunately my experience was not entirely positive. While I did encounter some helpful staff members, I was very disappointed with an individual named Anthony. He seemed intent on selling me the most expensive engine, likely in hopes of receiving a high commission. Additionally, he was very unpleasant to interact with, displaying a rude and unprofessional attitude. As a result, I will be reporting his behavior to the company in hopes of preventing others from encountering similar issues.
Another issue I encountered was a general lack of availability of engines. Anthony told me they did not have any in stock, but I sensed he was not being entirely truthful with me. He seemed annoyed when I asked questions and acted as if he wanted to end the conversation as quickly as possible. To make matters worse, he called me argumentative when I attempted to follow up on my queries.
Despite these issues, I will give Fraser Engine Company at least two stars. The engine I eventually purchased was of high quality and functioned very well, and other staff members were friendly and helpful. However, I hope the company takes steps to address customer service issues like those I encountered.
Unreliable and Dishonest: My Disappointing Experience with Fraser Engine Company
I had a rather unfortunate experience with Fraser Engine Company, which I feel compelled to share. I ordered a motor from them back in September, and to my dismay, it never arrived. Naturally frustrated, I contacted them in December of 2021 to ask about the status of my order. Sadly, the person who answered the phone was not at all helpful, to say the least. They informed me that Fraser had eight of my engines on order and that if I wasn't willing to wait, they would cancel my order and give it to someone else. I'd already been waiting for more than three months, and I couldn't fathom the idea of waiting any longer. I expressed my displeasure with this answer, but the person on the other end didn't seem to care much.
They did say they would keep the order in place, but it wasn't until five minutes after we hung up that they called me back. This time, they claimed to have found a whole box of parts and assured me that the motor would be ready by the first week of December. As time dragged on, I began to suspect that perhaps they were not being entirely truthful with me. Finally, on December 23rd, I received my motor - or so I thought.
Upon inspecting the shipping tag, I discovered that it wasn't even from Fraser Engine Company, but rather from Texas. This flagrant lie only served to further confirm my suspicions that something was amiss. But, undeterred, I eagerly took the motor to my mechanic to have it installed. To my dismay, it quickly became clear that it wasn't running properly. In fact, it was quite clear that something was seriously wrong with the motor.
So now, in February of 2022, I'm left without any resolution to my problems. I haven't received a call or any kind of assistance from Fraser Engine Company, and I'm left with a faulty motor that's not functioning properly. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed with my experience with Fraser Engine Company. They strike me as a dishonest and disreputable business that doesn't stand behind their products or their customers. In my opinion, they have no place in the market, and I would recommend avoiding them at all costs.
I purchased a remanufactured engine for my 2006 Toyota Camry late August 2023, this is one of my biggest
regret. I drive 20miles each day to work, I Did my first oil change with regular oil after driving 50miles
with break-in oil. my mechanic discovered a bad leak coming from rear main seal.
I contacted Fraser Engines to make them aware of this, After My mechanic pulled the engine down, AS THIS BOGUS company "claimed it was part of the warranty process to show proof of the leak. The leak was confirmed by their techs. I have been waiting for weeks now for Fraser engine
to fulfill the Warranty agreement for,WEEKS. I just wish I read these reviews before I even
thought of messing with THIS BOGUS ENGINE AND TRANSMISSIOIN COMPANY.
They use this bull crap warranty to catch consumers. I GOING TO LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS SCAM ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA. and AFFIRM, the credit company they use.
Negative Experience with Fraser: Rude Representatives, Poor Customer Service, and Order Complications
My experience with Fraser was less than satisfactory. I reached out to them twice over the phone and both times I was met with rude Representatives. They were pushy and seemed disinterested in answering my questions or explaining anything about the products. Furthermore, every time I tried to speak, they would interrupt me and talk over me. It was extremely frustrating.
After some back and forth, I finally put in an order for a 5.4 Ford engine. However, the sales representative told me to go to their website to proceed with the order. So, I followed their instructions and placed my order online. But, when I finished, the website told me to contact the representative again. I waited for six hours before someone finally answered my call.
However, I was met with sarcastic and unhelpful behavior. The representative kept throwing out prices instead of answering my questions, which did not feel professional at all. They seemed bothered by my lack of knowledge about cars, which is not an acceptable way to treat customers.
In the end, I had to cancel my order, which was worth $5,000. I am very disappointed with the way Fraser treated me as a customer, and I would not be recommending them to anyone based on my experience. It's clear to me that they need to work on their customer service skills to improve the overall experience for their clients.
Appalling Customer Service Experience with Fraser Engine Company: A Warning
Recently, I had the opportunity to contact Fraser Engine Company for a much-needed engine replacement for my truck. My experience with the company, however, was far from exceptional. When I called the customer service department on 11/05/20, I was greeted by a representative named John Franklin, who stated himself as one of the owners of the company. I was hoping to receive information and assistance from someone knowledgeable and courteous, but instead, I was subjected to nothing but rudeness and sarcasm.
John Franklin displayed a serious lack of empathy, respect, and professionalism, which has been the worst customer service encounter I have ever experienced. This was truly disappointing, given that I had done my research and found Fraser Engine Company to have a great reputation in the industry. However, my interaction with John Franklin made me question whether I wanted to trust them with something as important as a new engine for my vehicle.
Despite my negative experience, I eventually made a purchase from Fraser Engine Company. However, I was still apprehensive about whether or not I would receive the service I deserved. I have to keep my fingers crossed and pray that I don't get cheated. Nevertheless, I will always be upfront with my lawyer and warn him about the transaction.
In conclusion, although the company may excel in their products, the disregard for customer service by John Franklin at Fraser Engine Company is simply abhorrent. There is a serious need for improvement in this area to ensure that potential customers have the best possible experience when dealing with Fraser Engine Company.
Fraser Engine Co. Review: Poor Customer Service and Frustrating Experience
My experience with Fraser (fraserengineco.com) left much to be desired. I had a very frustrating interaction with their sales department where I encountered three different employees all exhibiting an apathetic and uncaring attitude. I even called them out on their poor customer service, but was told that they were there solely to sell engines and not to prioritize customers.
Eventually, I was able to get someone to speak with me about the warranty for the motor, but it was like pulling teeth. The person was clearly not interested in answering my questions about locations, and when I persisted, they abruptly stated that they didn't have time for this and that they were sold out.
Feeling incredibly disheartened and frustrated, I decided to look into other options and came across Jasper Engines. While I have no affiliation with them, I am willing to pay a bit more for their quality service, parts, and warranty - something that I did not encounter with Fraser.
Overall, my experience with Fraser was very disappointing and I cannot recommend them to anyone looking for quality customer service and engine parts.
Fraser Engine Co. Review: Lack of Professionalism & Customer Service
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Fraser Engine Co. and I must say, I am extremely disappointed in their lack of professionalism and customer service. My husband and I purchased an engine from them and upon installation, we noticed that the check engine light remained on. Naturally, we contacted Fraser Engine Co. to inquire on how to fix this issue, and were told to take it to a diagnostic shop.
We took their advice and brought it to a Chevy dealer, thinking that an authorized GM service department would handle the issue with expertise. However, to our dismay, the dealer was not fond of Fraser Engine Co. and repeatedly told us that we should not have gone to Fraser and that we were told to take it to a dealer. Although we had paid for an extra warranty, Fraser Engine Co. was only willing to pay for a measly 2 hours of labor at a rate of $50 an hour.
It was completely absurd for them to ask us to rely on a non-GM affiliated mechanic to repair an engine that was supposedly authorized to work in a Chevrolet. We knew the issue was with the timing, which was something beyond our control, being inside the engine. We expected adequate support from Fraser Engine Co., but as it turned out, we were left with more questions than answers. Every time we requested to speak with a service manager, a lady kept calling us back, insisting that we were instructed not to take it to a dealer. This is not at all what we were told, and it was beyond frustrating to deal with their disorganization and lack of accountability.
To add fuel to the fire, the turnaround time for any form of resolution or support was just terrible. It was really disheartening to see a company with such a lousy attitude towards customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I would advise them to work on their business ethics and customer relations if they wish to remain in the industry.
Fraser Engine Company Review: Poor People Skills and Lack of Communication
This review about Fraser Engine Company (fraserengineco.com) is quite disheartening. The customer had to reluctantly order a motor because of the poor people skills demonstrated by one of the salesmen. Despite being told that the motor would ship "tomorrow", it took a week for the customer to receive any update on the shipment. When the customer asked, the salesman said that it would ship on Thursday and advised the customer to call back on Friday if they didn't receive any confirmation. On Friday, the salesman assured the customer that the motor had shipped, and they should receive confirmation on the same day. However, the customer didn't receive any confirmation even by Monday, so they decided to give the courtesy call that the salesman had requested.
To the customer's surprise, the salesman was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of greeting the customer, he immediately started attacking them, calling them an "unruly customer" and threatening to turn the truck around. The customer explained that they were just following up on the previously requested callback and rightfully expressed their frustration at the lack of communication and the $4000 payment that was made. It seemed like the salesman hadn't yet shipped the motor.
Fortunately, the customer was given a full refund, which is the only positive aspect of their encounter with the company. It's unfortunate that such a lack of professionalism and customer service skills exist in any business that is supposedly serving the needs of its clients.
Fraser Engines Refuses to Honor Warranty: A Disappointing Experience with Diesel Engine Purchase
In October of 2020, my company bought a diesel engine from Fraser (fraserengineco.com) for one of our work trucks. The engine was installed with labor and materials, costing us $17,000. However, in June of 2021, only 7800 miles after installing the engine, it failed. Unsurprisingly, we were quite disappointed and frustrated by this unexpected problem. We contacted Fraser engines to submit a warranty claim and they instructed our mechanic on how to troubleshoot the engine. It was determined that the front engine cover had failed, causing a mix of water and oil in the engine, resulting in significant damage.
Unfortunately, our disappointment only deepened when Fraser refused to honor their warranty, despite the engine failing in such a quick timeframe. To make matters worse, they only offered to send us a new front engine cover, without paying for any of the labor costs to diagnose or fix the problem. As a result, our truck has encountered significant damage, with the water and oil mixture spreading to other crucial parts of the vehicle, such as the radiator, fuel pump and turbo.
At this point, we have consulted an attorney to handle the warranty claim, only to discover that Fraser has a specific provision in the warranty that dictates any legal disputes against them must be filed in Michigan. Despite living in South Alabama, we are prepared to travel to Michigan as many times as necessary to fight this issue. It is disheartening to be taken advantage of in this manner and we feel strongly that they should be held accountable for their product's failure.
In conclusion, our experience with Fraser engines has been incredibly disappointing, particularly concerning their refusal to uphold their warranty on the engine they sold us. We are hoping that by sharing our story, other consumers will be made aware of their terms and conditions and will be cautious when considering purchasing from them in the future. Thank you, Dana Sasser.
