I needed a GM 6l80 remanufactured transmission for a Pontiac g8 gt and settled on Fraser to supply it reached out for a quote received the price from John Fraser I explained that it would be going into a 640 hp Pontiac g9 street car and would be using a aftermarket converter he agreed that was a good choice asked if they offer a build with better internals with at least new clutches said no and they would provide a zero mileage better than new tranny that would take anything a street tire car could put thru it and it did for 2 days and 120 miles before the puddles of fluid when parked figured front seal so out it comes seal is fine leak is from behind torque converter so I rigged up a plug and filled converter and put some air in to see if a weld might be leaking I knew a brand new Neal Chance triple disc wouldn’t be but I checked put it back in and now it blows fluid whenever I get on it just a bit and smokes badly from fluid burning off exhaust called Fraser’s no answering as usual email Fraser’s no responses this was 8/25/25 called and emailed everyday finally a response from a nasty lady telling me to open a claim and a tech will call in next few days 5 weeks later last Tuesday Scott calls from tech explained where leak is he suggested everything I already checked and said he will forward info to warranty department that tranny needs to come back and someone would call to give me approx day it would ship and just send failed one back in container new one came it. Okay frustration and anger over 5 weeks waiting just to hear what I [censored]ing already knew and you guessed it no call no email so the impossible task of contacting these [censored]s starts again. I call 5 times a day everyday email once everyday and I get the email we tried to call you today but you didn’t answer email.
So only took 2 days for Jen to call me back and say I have bad news we are denying your warrant claim because you modified the transmission with a “tuner” what ever that is I told her I had the car roll backed to Chevy dealer to have it flashed to my VIN that’s all I did so now I am I. A conversation with someone who knows nothing and accusing me of modifying the piece of leaking [censored] transmission I paid $3000 for with a “tuner” I told her the car was not tuned TCM was not tuned yet because nobody would let a car that blows a 1/2 quart of trans fluid out every time I go full throttle she says I see you are angry we will get back to you now my head is about to pop off 2 days later Nicolette ends email to call her to talk about situation
Okay call and call leave message finally they regrouped and have a new reason to not back their product which has now only gone 287 miles of it’s unlimited mileage 3 yr warranty today’s reason is I modified it with the Neal Chance triple disc converter which cost me more than the piece of flawed crap they sold me. This [censored] starts screaming at me that I need to accept this and be done cuz they ain’t fixing it aren’t sending a replacement and definitely no refund. So I search my original emails with John Fraser and low and behold there in my correspondence asking for a price quote is me being totally honest telling them that I would be using a good converter not a [censored] reman stoker and all the info of the car engine size hp weight all these things were asked by Fraser salesman and he assured me that I’d be thrilled with there transmission. Guess what John Fraser I am not thrilled that you stole $3000.00 from me and basically told me to [censored] off and don’t call again. Well I won’t I am getting on a plane and coming through your office front door and let’s see you ignore and disrespect me in person! I’m getting my pound of flesh
Recommendation: Don’t ever buy anything from this morally bankrupt company
