Power Company Making Life/Death Decision

The customer service representative from their collection agency was very rude and unprofessional. They have no sympathy for a disabled person on oxygen. My nephew is trying is trying to ask President Bush and Congress to pass a new "bill"
stating electric companies can not disconnect to a person whose dependent on electrical machines for survival. If they disconnect I'll know have to go meet my maker. Does this country want to give the utility companies the power to make life and death decisions?

FPL keeps charging me over and over for fresh deposits, I've been with them for four years at same location. Insane.

Look up my address and you see the history if power issues, specifically with 8 houses that belong to the Transformer. Prior to to that years of power outages do to wind and feeder lines. Hello FPL, you have a problem here. Used to be a fan FPL but that is long gone. Somebody is not doing their job.Fix it

7/31/22 - FPL electric pole durability

A woodpecker has created large holes at the top of the electric pole. The holes are large enough that when the woodpecker is pecking a very hollow sound emits. The fear is that in high winds this pole may be at risk. Is it possible to inspect this pole for durability, or add supports, or replace entirely?

FPL is in the policy of little to no contact with a representative from FPL.

Their policy is also for customers to pay as much as humanly possible that way FPL is equipped with giving all of their dedicated loyal and smug employees a golden parachute when the time comes at the expense of Florida taxpayers.

The power company said I’ve been late more than twice now they want $160 deposit or automatic billpay plus $100. If the bill is paid and im having a financial difficulty why is paying you $160 more or you get to shut off my power even legal? We need to sue these people as a community! My bills are high enough.

The contractors working for FPL on underground wires- One of their white trucks backed into and broke the 2 mailboxes for our duplex. They drove off. I have video of it from doorbell camera. This happened around 4:45pm on Monday Sept. 5.

My electric bill at my house is over $300 a month, it's a 2/2 mobile home in boca raton.

My roommate typically paid $100 per month with the same size home..

When I first moved in back in March it was around $170 now it's $307-320!

I'm thinking someone is possibly stealing power from my place.

This is ridiculous, can you please help!

Rates are OUT OF CONTROL! My Gulf Power bill was always at least 1/3 lessthe prices charged by this monopoly! Single mom now paying over $400- month…. Ridiculous! Thinking about just footing the bill for gas for my generator and just run off that. It’s gotta be cheaper than this scam! ~dissatisfied customer

I live at 1700 Osceola Bay Ave, Niceville, FL. There was a service truck on my street yesterday (10/05/2022). Before they left one of them came on my boat dock and took something off. There is no power lines on my dock, so no reason for any one to be on my boat dock.

I have tried to pay my bill online and just get the "thinking sign". I have tried to find the address to pay my bill and cannot find that either. How can I pay my bill ?

Our condo complex has green transformers near our lobby door that is rusted and a great eyesore. We have notified FPL several times to replace or paint with no results.

The transformer is to right of our lobby door and can be seen from the ground and walkways of our building.

On 12 dec 22, i mailed my dec bill of $75.51 to fpl miami address. On 27 dec i got a payment reminder notice of non payment and the $75.51 is due by today dec 30. I created an account for rental property in my name, which was switched to the renter's name. Upon renters departure I called and asked to transfer that account back in my name. However after endless gymnastics the rep created another account for the same property with new account number, new connection charges, new deposit etc.

The power pole located at the property line of 2625 San Clemente Dr and 2621 San Clemente Dr, 32583, is rotted at the earth line so that more than 2/3s of the pole is eaten away. A good wind will put it on my house or my neighbors.

fpl added 406.00 deposit to my bill just out of the blue and cant reach nobody in customer service. Keep getting this automated crap. i cant reach nobody and i would like this charge removed. If you check my history you will see that i always pay my bill on time. Plz look into this matter and try to help me out.

I have requested underground conduit and wire repair since September of 2022 with no repair to date. I have been in contact with my service planner with no action taken to start or complete this repair. I need action NOW!

A power transformer at Olympic Park, 8601 SW 152nd avenue has a lot of graffiti on it and has become an eyesore. Could someone please go out and paint the transformer?

On 7/24/2023 an FPL Contractor tore up my yard and cut my phone & cable lines. The workers would not listen to me and ignored me when I told them they cut my lines. I work from my house and I now cannot work since I have no internet.

impossible to talk to a customer agent and out of no where they charge me a $900 deposit because i was late with the payment a couple of times because i was short of money and instead of helping you made it even worse i was having a bad situation and you desire to charge me a deposit. thank you

FPL illegally raising prices and lieing about usage and adding fees for no reason to bills.

Bill went up $100 every year and they just lie and steal money, no one. Responds or picks up calls.

They just now added on a $220 deposit to my account without informing me!

i tried calling customer service about my bill. system hangs up before i get a rep

tried again stuck in automated hell. Keep raising bills, no customer service. ripping off seniors!

Th most impossible automated system, our hell!

They jus care about lining their pockets , ripping customers off. i live alone and i aka senior, see raising bill

The last 2 months now including this month I made a payment and got confirmation that yall received but never took the payment out of the account. Now you guys are charging me an extra 30.00 and telling me I now have to pay cash

Tried to set up autopay for an elderly neighbor with dementia. . IMPOSSIBLE. After two days I give up. Now theywoint get paid and then they will turn off her electric

I never paid this much FPL is just a money grab how do you expect people and even old people to pay these rates. This company is just ripping off all of us in Florida. Some people can't afford food in this lousy state.

It would be really nice if we could keep the power in longer than a few days. Rain = power outage. Sun = power outage. Any given time during the day = power flickering (and wreaking havoc on my appliances and electronics). Too bad they are the only provider in my area. This is redundant and ridiculous. But - hey - rates keep going up!
