Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union Car loan paid in full March

Car loan paid in full March . Title not received yet, called many times, no real reason for the problem. They keep saying they're passing it up. I'm sure if I were months late on a payment they would've reported me to the credit agency. I want my title on time, this is ridiculous.

I sent in many letters on August 09, 2022 about these situations, but you ignored my letters. I really need these laws to be applied to my report, or else I'll have to take legal action. There's this law called 15 U.S code 1692 (g) that talks about validating debt, another one called 15 U.S code 1692d that deals with harassment and abuse, and also 15 U.S code 1692e that talks about false or misleading representations. Lastly, there's 15 U.S code 1692f that talks about unfair practices. And under 15 U.S code 1692k, there's civil liability.

On or about June 22, "Odette C," the Account Manager at Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union, assured me that she wouldn't send my checking account to collections 'cause I was dealing with my baby boy being hospitalized with RSV. And once I got back to work, she'd make a payment plan for me. But she went back on her word and sent my account to collections for $750. I wanna settle this account, but I want it wiped off my credit reports. Also, my Fort Bragg Credit Union Visa Credit card is reporting wrong! I've never been late or gone over the limit, it should show that, but it doesn't, and that breaks FCRA 623(a)(2)(B).

Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union They make it impossible to pay on my loan then charge outrageous fees for not being able to pay

They make it impossible to pay on my loan then charge outrageous fees for not being able to pay. When I got my loan, I was able to log on the app or online and pay my monthly payment. They have since removed that option and left me with only the option of paying over the phone, which requires me to pay a fee each time for using the pay by phone. During covid, they claimed to help people out who were having hard times but only gave me the run around and would not assist in any way. The customer service is terrible, and it takes 3 to 8 hours of your day on the phone trying to get a hold of someone. Most of the time, you get a voicemail and no return call. And lastly, they added over $3000 of insurance to my loan for no reason when I had proof of full coverage insurance that was submitted numerous times to them. They only refunded $2000 of that.

Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union They took away the option to pay online without telling us

They took away the option to pay online without telling us. I called on 06/05 to make a car payment and asked why I couldn't see the option online. The agent said they're upgrading the system and removed it, but they don't know when it'll be fixed. I told them I wasn't informed and how am I supposed to pay. I don't have a checking account there, just a savings, and it's not my main bank. They said I have to transfer money from my main bank to my credit union savings account, which I don't even use, and make payments from there. But there's a federal rule that says I can only do that 6 times a month, and a savings account isn't meant for that. The other option is to go to my local branch in another town, but I don't think it's a good idea because of COVID-19. They still haven't fixed this and it's unfair. I would understand if they told me beforehand, but I can't set up bill pay with my main bank in advance because it takes 5 days for the check to arrive. They also said I'll be charged $5.00 every month if I call to make a payment, but they'll waive it this time.

Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union My husband and I opened a checking account with Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union on 09/21

My husband and I opened a checking account with Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union on 09/21. They told us that as long as we kept a minimum of $200 in the account, we wouldn't have any fees. We followed this rule and used our savings account for direct deposits, so we could save without touching the money. Recently, on 09/13, we accessed our online account because we needed statements for a mortgage loan application. To our surprise, we only had $18.30 left in our checking account. It turns out that since 07/31, they started charging us a monthly fee. They introduced a secure checking account with a $5.95 monthly fee, requiring a minimum balance of $10,000, and a basic checking account with a $2.95 monthly fee, requiring a minimum balance of $200. We were never informed about these changes through email, mail, or phone calls. Moreover, instead of placing us in the basic checking account, they put us in the high-fee secure checking account. When I called to inquire about this, they told me that we were probably sent a notice, but I haven't received any. I asked to speak to a manager, but I only reached her voicemail and haven't received a call back yet. So, in summary, they changed their checking account policies, "maybe" sent a notice, placed us in the account with the highest fees, and drained our account.

Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union FBFCU keeps asking for payment and saying that I owe money on two accounts that should actually have a balance of zero

FBFCU keeps asking for payment and saying that I owe money on two accounts that should actually have a balance of zero. One of the accounts, called Equity Plus, was opened in 2014 and had a balance of $19,873.00. However, I haven't used this account since then. I have actually paid more than $26,000 towards it, but the amount owed has only changed by $2,600 over the course of 8 years and several months of payments. There is no available credit on this account, and I have been making monthly payments of $274.00 since 2014. In May 2022, the monthly payment amount was reduced to $150, but there is still a remaining balance of $16,799.00 after 8 years of payments.

The second account is a line of credit, and I have only been making payments on it since January . The starting balance was $1,800.00, and I have been consistently paying $100.00 per month for over 4 years. However, the balance due on the account has only changed by less than $300.00 in that time. I have complained about these incorrect balances.

On top of that, the credit union has blocked my monthly payments and made unauthorized transfers. In June 2022, my payment for the accounts was returned, claiming that I owe fees for a bounced check. However, they also applied an unauthorized transfer of $276 to what they say is a past due balance. They did not deduct a $15 fee during any of these unauthorized transfers.

In May 2022, all my accounts were up to date, but in June 2022, my monthly payment was returned, claiming that I still owe $15.00 in fees. The past due amounts are being doubled each month. For example, the Equity account was current in May 2022, but in June 2022, the payment amount was reduced to $150 per month from $274.00, and the past due amount is now $972.00 in July 2022, as if I had missed 11 months of payments.

I am being asked to continue overpaying for both the Equity account and the line of credit, even though both accounts have only received payment and have no usage or available credit. The balances on these accounts have remained relatively unchanged for 8 years and 4 years, respectively. It feels like a scam.

Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union Fort Bragg Federal CU had a promo on their Term share certificates

Fort Bragg Federal CU had a promo on their Term share certificates. I opened an account but they denied the promo for no good reason. I saw an online promo on their website for a 60-month Jumbo Step-up Term Share Certificate with an APY of 2.99%. The account needed a minimum of $25,000 and membership to the AUSA Braxton Bragg Chapter. I followed all the requirements and contacted Ms. DeJa *** their Contact Sales Associate on February 14. I was worried that the rate might not be available by the time the funds cleared because Monday was Presidents' Day, but Ms. assured me that they would honor the rate for 14 days. By February 19th, I was already in touch with Ms. to get the address and info to send the check to fund the account, and I did so. On February 25th, I asked Ms. if they received the check and she said they hadn't yet, but everything was okay and she would let me know when she got it. I checked the Fort Bragg CU website and the promo was still going on. On February 27th, Ms. called to say they couldn't honor the term share certificate anymore because upper management told them to stop opening them. When I asked if she got the check, she said yes, on the same Tuesday we corresponded, but I didn't get confirmation from them. Also, when I asked why they weren't opening the CD or honoring the 14-day grace period they mentioned earlier, she couldn't give me a valid response. On that same day, February 27th, their website still had the promo and there was no disclosure or fine print about any limitations. Their Branch Manager *** called and left a voicemail while I was on the phone with Ms., but he never called me back when I returned his call. I tried reaching him multiple times after that, but no luck. It's really unclear why they don't want to open my account when the Savings account needed to fund the term share was open and funded with the minimum requirement since February 14th. I also paid the $40 membership fee for the AUSA and provided the member number. Additionally, they held my check since February 25th and only contacted me on the 27th, even though their website still had the promo. I called the NCUA help number and spoke to a guy named Josh who gave me follow-up info. He saw that the promo was still valid and there was no fine print (I have screenshots to prove it). Now the CU updated their website with limitations, but they still have my check. When I sent the check, I attached a letter with specific instructions on where the money should be deposited and what to do with the share certificate. Right now, I haven't heard from anyone and my check is still in limbo.
