Food Basics review: Unprofessional employee at self checkout

We are seniors and shop at the Kemptville Food basics every week. Today at the self check out I scanned 1 dozen eggs put them in my bag, scanned another dozen eggs, put them in my bag and then this staff woman came up and opened my bag to check it, when there was only 1 other customer at self check out. She made us feel like we are trying to steal from them. Then the last 2 items I scanned was Gingerale and she came back to us and checked our screen to make sure we scanned them. She made us feel like we were trying to steal from them. I understand they have a job to do and make sure people aren't stealing but to go through my bag without saying a word was very offensive and disrespectful. If she wanted to look in my bag she should have asked if we mind instead of just coming from behind me and opening my bag to search. Next time I'll ask to speak to a Manager because this, in my opinion is not how you treat customers.
