I thought wyndham was better than this.

We had fairfield points at the atlantic city resort.

We purchased more points at the glacier canyon resort because the salesman told us the combined total could be used for advanced (13 month) bookings at either resort. We clarified this point because it seemed 'too good to be true'.

As we find out when trying to book, this is a lie. Only the points associated with the resort are available for 13 month advanced.

Now the sales person denies it (as he would) and wyndham tells us to go to hell as the fine print spells every thing out. As they would.

Not impressed with fairfield / wyndham. What is the point of getting answers from a salesperson if they lie to your face? I'll be damned if they get any good word from us in the future.

Try going to the Central Florida BBB site. All the names and phone numbers of the people you want are on there. Good luck with them though. You may get more of the same.

I am a also not a happy VIP Wyndham owner. We purchased our timeshare back in June of 2008. We were on vacation over in the Dells and took a tour for a $100.00 gift certificate for a free night next day stay at the Wilderness resort. Now I have vacationed in the Dells for close to 15 years & in the past 6 years have always stayed at the Wilderness in the hotel part. I love the Wilderness & have always had a great time there. Well, long story short. We bought at Glacier Canyon & have stayed there over 5 times & we even vacationed out to Branson MO. Everytime we go, we sign up for the "meet & greet" presentation. These presentations always turn into a sales pitch! They promise that it will be a 15 minute thing & they bring you some ridiculous "free" gift. The presentations are never 15 minutes & their gifts can go where the sun doesn't shine! When I was in Branson (June of 2010), the guy who came for our meet thing told me there was important infomation that I was missing out on with my contract. That's how he got me into his sales office. He said he was going to pull up some info & asked for my id. I gave it to him thiinking that I really wanted to know what "important info" was missing from my contract. He ended up running my credit & was trying to get me to purchase more points! He wouldn't let me leave & refused to give me my id back. Nonetheless, I got up & left the office. My husband stood there and found my id in the printer, grabbed it & left. We were furious! We called owner relations & complained. They of course apologized & sent us a meesly $25.00 visa card for our inconvience. In November we went to the Dells again. We checked in & they asked us to do a "meet & greet". We of course said no. The girl at the desk asked us why we refused. We informed her of our experience at Branson. She told us that they were no longer doing things like that & that it was soley to see how everything was going with our stay. Fine. We agreed since we were curious to see how they were doing things. We met with this guy, he said that I had signed something on my contract when I was out in Branson that denied us to Club Wyndham rewards. He asked us to meet him in his office. So we did. Big mistake! He asked for my id & permission to pull up more info. He of course ran my credit. He said I only owned half my deed & that since I was such a great owner, Wyndham was offering me 2 new timeshare contracts at retro pricing. What?! Weren't we going to talk about something I signed on my contract? That never came up. We had to give him an answer right away. He said it was such a good deal Wyndham needed an anwer right then & there. We tried to leave & it was always another question & so on & so on. As we got up to leave, yet again we were stopped & told we had to sign out! Huh? Who even signed us in? We were presened again with a 3rd timeshare package (a discovery package)! That they would freeze the price for us for 12 months! We left very furious! We wasted almost a whole day with non-sense. We called owner relations, made our complaints, got transferred back to Glacier Canyon. The person at Glacier Canyon was no help whatsoever. He didn't pay attention to any of my concerns. So when I asked for his managers name & number, he hung up on me. I called owner relations again, to yet again be transfered to Glacier Canyon. I got connected to someone who couldn't help me b/c she wasn't that high on the chain level of command to do anything. So she was going to direct me to someone who will help. That person was going to call me last week Tuesday. I am still waiting for a response. I guess Wyndham really doesn't care about their owners at all! And they have nerve to ask for refferals!

Did the owners that got their timeshares cancelled get any of their money back?

If you need help cancelling your Wyndham timeshare contract, get in touch with these guys!

If you have bought a timeshare with this company the contract can be cancelled. I have a friend who's a librarian in Arkansas. She bought her timeshare in Branson under pressure and when she found they'd lied to her--she tried to cancel. Of course they said no, she had to pay. She later got in touch with these guys--

They went to bat for her against Wyndham beginning on Apr. 8 '09 and her contract was cancelled by the 23d. Another owner facing foreclosure with Wyndham and had been diagnosed with lung cancer was able to get two contracts cancelled with the help of these people. I highly recommend them!

I have been an owner with Wyndham for over 10 years. I went to several owner's forums and became educated on how to get the most out of my ownership (my favorite forum is http://www.wyndhamowners.org/ ). Before the name change to Wyndham I used to recommend to everyone that this was a great company, even though I usually encouraged people to check out the resale prices on eBay and use due diligence when buying. Now; however, I have watched Wyndham rape and pillage from all the owners. There are very few benefits that they have not taken away -- and their fee increases in the past year are not only unethical, but probably illegal. Check out the following video from another upset owner:

He does an awesome job of calmly saying all the things about this corrupt company that I would not be able to say without using a few expletives!
