On Sept. 10th 2023 we checked into this hotel because my wife was having total knee replacement on the 11th and we needed a place where she could stay with out stairs for a short time. Worst mistake ever! One of the main reasons we rented the handicapped suite was for the recliner in the room. Upon check in we discovered the recliner was broken and management said there was nothing that could be done to repair it. My wife was never able to use the recliner at all. I needed a sharp knife for cutting some ham and it took many visits to the front desk and 3 days to finally get one. I asked the hotel manager if I could get a coffee pot and toaster and he said they did not provide those items at his hotel. Total lie. Found a desk card in room that said these items were to be provided on request. Talked to several maids who showed me these items on their carts. I needed clean hand towels to put over my wife's surgery site so I could place an ice pack on it. The assistant manager told me to go to front desk in the evening because there would be a better chance of getting clean towels. I would go down 3 or 4 times in the evening only to be told they had no towels. One evening on my 4th trip down I was finally given one hand towel by a very rude man behind the desk who looked more like he should be taking out the trash than dealing with guests. The only way I could get towels was to find a maid in the hall somewhere and ask her. When my wife got to a point in her recovery that she could go for a short walk with her therapist, the smell in the hall was so bad they could not stand it. Also the hall carpet was stained and dirty. Just walking down the hall to get to our room made me feel dirty. There were numerous other issues, but if I went on this would become a novel. My wife and I have stayed in many hotels in and out of the US and this is the by far the worst experience we have ever had. I talked to a number of guests and trust me not one was a happy camper. Would not stay in one of your hotels ever again and would not suggest any one else should either.

Desired outcome: A refund would be nice.
