On 01/03/2026 my daughter took her car in for oil changed, told plug was stripped and was replaced with a temporary plug. Upon hearing that I called your location Express Oil Hueytown to talk with manager, told he was not available until Monday.
01/05/2026 Called Express Oil Hueytown and talked to manager and explained, the car had not been serviced by anyone but them for oil change and one of your machinic had to strip the plug and asked if he would take care of the issue. Told me to drop car off so he could look at it and go from there.
Dates of oil change:
• 08/17/2023 – no issues noted
• 05/01/2024 – no issues noted
• 02/01/2025 - no issues noted
• 07/24/2025 – issue noted (plug will not back out of pan, oil evacuated out of vehicle)
• 01/03/2026 – issue noted (stripped plug and pan prior to service, Kelly plug inserted)
Car dropped off so vehicle could be checked.
01/06/2026 Received call from manager and he informed me that someone had used a helicoil in the oil pan that’s why plug would not go in. Told me that the pan needed to be replaced and that helicoil are not used in his shop so he would not cover issue. Did not want to into an argument with manager, decided to allow him to replace the pan and have this case handle at the next level.
The cost of the replacement was $565.22 which I hoping I can get a refund.
