Edgars Fashion / Edcon horrible service store manager

ught the shoes on the 28/09/2016 at Edgars tembisa_birch acres went on the 01/10/2016 same shop I bought the shoes.when I got to the shop I saw the shoes went to see if I can find the shoe size and asked a lady who works at edgards to assist as I could not find the size.she told me I must find the person who works in the shoe department as she does not work there so I waited by the shoes since I did not know who works by the shoes.
So i waited ...a guy came by and asked him to assist with exchange and he checked the shoes and went to check and came back saying..there is no size 10.then told him want a refund ..he then told me to wait for him he is coming back..waited for an hour ..no sign of him..so went to join a queue for customer service which took 15 minutes.. Then was told that I cannot be help since I only have a cash slip and shoes that still have a code tag attached to them..still
new...they want a box... Told them I did not have a box..but the shoes are still new.have a tag on them attached that shows a shoe code and a slip that also has a shoe code and a price and date...she said they can't help me..asked to see a manager ..to my surprise the same guy who told me to wait for him which was an hour and never came back to assist is the manager... So I told him.I waited for him since he promised to come back..to assist and never came back.. He told me its not his job to help me with shoe exchange he is the manager...then I told him what happened at customer service.. He then told me to bring a box...then I asked him to write a letter specifying the reason why I won't get an exchange /refund for the shoes and also write his name and contact details so that I can forward it further the complain...he told me ..he does not work for me and won't write that letter that specify the reasons why I won't be helped at the store. I was so disgusted with the attitude of the store manager and the NO SERVICE he offered... Telling me its not his job and do not work for him..so he won't write down a letter with his name and reasons why won't be helped...edgards need to train their store manager and also how to communicate to customers...STILL NOT RECEIVED HELPED FROM Edgars

Edgars Fashion / Edcon edgars vip club

I was contacted by Edgars marketing to take up membership of their VIP Club on the 12th March 2016. I phoned customer services the next day to ask them not to go ahead with the membership. Every month since March they have taken off R60 membership fees despite the fact that I have to phone them every month to tell them it has been cancelled. We are now in September and it is still not resolved. Every customer service person I talk to every month tells me it is cancelled and will reflect on my next statement and they will refund the membership fees. I am still getting marketing calls telling me about their wonderful benefits? I refuse to listen or go into an Edgars store. I have been an Edgars cardholder for over 30 years. It is shocking service and now they want to charge a R22 p/m service fee!

Edgars Fashion / Edcon change to credit agreement: implementation of service fee

Good day

I refer to the email below as well as the attachments.

I did call your call centre and you are welcome to listen to the call recorded. The lady assisting me didn’t resolve my problem and she was putting me through a supervisor. I was holding for a long time and dropped the call.

I would like to formally lodge a complaint.

I made a purchase two weeks ago at Edgars, Garden Route Mall. Paid with my store card.

When it was time to sign, I've notices she was completing the details on the electronic pad where I was supposed to sign and only glanced something about R22.80. When I enquire about it, she answered that "she DECLINED to the extra charges as nobody wants to agree to it". So I replied and said "of course I wouldn't have agreed to it". She was working very fast on the electronic pad and told me to sign for the purchase, which I've done and I left the store.

If I knew, that she actually AGREED on my behalf, I would immediately told her to cancel the transaction and lodged a complaint in store.

I received this "Change to credit agreement: Implementation of Service Fee".

Please note that I'm formally disputing the fact that I agreed to your new terms and conditions. I did not agree to any additional fees and/or costs. I hereby request a formal investigation into this matter. The lady assisting has probably mislead a lot of customers this way. This is not transparent and I will not stand for it.

Furthermore, I hereby request that this is reversed and you will not charge me any additional fees and/or charges. I signed up for a 6-months interest free account and my account is paid every month on time and most of the time I pay more than my instalment. This is certainly not treating customers fairly and if needed, I will close my account with immediate effect. I'm not interested in doing business with a company that is trying to mislead their customers.

Please note that if my problem is not sorted within 24 hrs, I will have no other choice than to lodge a formal complaint with the National Credit Ombud.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon scams

I was at Centurion Mall Edgars in Centurion a month ago, while I was shopping and minding my own business, I was approached by the guy call Mduduzi who works for the store, he said to me he wants to explain some benefits that i have on my account and that i might not be aware of. We then went to the counter and he explained somethings and mentioned that I have loyalty points that I do not use and if i do not use I will forfeit them. I did not really entertain that because I just wanted to go as he was not really making sense to me. He then printed a slip for me "supposedly" explaining the things that he was explaining verbally. I then read the slip and discovered that he made me join some insurance that I never agreed to and he never told me about, when i queried that he said it part of the benefit in my account. We then argued because I could see he is fooling me. We argued and i demanded that he cancels it, He then said he can't cancel it on the day, he can only cancel after 24 hours because he had to wait for it to reflect. I demanded that he fix that mess because I live in JHB and can not drive back to Centurion to fix this I just happened to be in the area that day. He then begged and gave me his word that he will cancel it the next day and made a note on his black book. so I left the store. Since that day I have been calling the store asking for him and assistance, no one is helping me, including the store manager until the was a deduction on my statement on this insurance. I have called more than 20 times speaking to different people they all take my number and promise to call me back and resolve this, no one did including the store manager. How is it possible for such a big store to be run by such incompetent people including the managers, no respect for their customers but they get their salaries from us. such creepy store with creepy people

Edgars Fashion / Edcon cell phone insurance

on 30 April I bought a Boost tablet from Egars Centurion and took out cash insuarence cover. however the phone was stolen and I made a police report and submitted a claim at Edgars Centurion on 3 August 2016. I have been to Edgars on four occasions to follow up on the claim and I get the same answer that the insurers claim they haven't received the claim. I don't know what else to do because I am told the same story all the time

Edgars Fashion / Edcon nca limit increase

On my latest statement I was advised I qualified for a limit increase, I sent in my payslips as I also received a salary increase in june which was backdated to january. I explained this to the nca agent who asked me some questions and then responded that I am declined based on my affordability and that I applied less than 3 months ago. I asked cant this be reviewed based on my salary increase which was backdated and she said she will call me back yesterday and never did. When I called to f]ollow up the new agent said that theres no record of my previous call and I had to go through the process again and I was declined this time given a different reason. When I asked that someone review I was told not even a manager can review this. The attaitude was bad and the communication poor. I have been a good account holder, never defaulted and always over pay to be treated with such disdain is a shame.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon insurance

Good day

A few years ago we bought a phone on my husbands edgars account, we also took out insurance. 2 years ago we claimed and everything got sorted out fast.

Last year they broke into our car and stole my handbag which had the phone in, we went to edgars silverton Pretoria and submitted all the paperwork. The lady said she will phone us. a month later the store closed down, we have not heard anything from the insurance in over a year. The lady took all our paperwork, now we have no papers to submit the claim again. I don't see why I should pay for insurance when its absolutely useless.

This is so disappointing!

I have been struggling for months to get the Edgars book club charges (without receiving anything) that NOBODY gave permission to bill my account last year 2015. Since April 2016 i have been receiving my statement with charges on and every month the account is getting higher. My daughter has phoned they REFUSE to speak to her. Then i phoned because i have never ever spoken to anybody from Edgars or given any permission or signed anything, for some travel club charges. We have been sending emails since May 2016 -They are busy investigating. In September month i went to Edgars N1 City branch because there was also something bought on my account for R60 in Jan 2016, They assured me that they credited everything on my account that day, i need to pay the interest on the account. Why do i have to pay interest if everything was INCORRECTLY PROCESSED on my account ? I paid the R6 interest, and i told them - CLOSE MY ACCOUNT. Now today i received a letter that i was handed over for collection to Accenture Services - How in the HELL can they do this ? They told me ALL CHARGES on my account was credited and is WAS PROCESSED BY MISTAKE, IT WAS INCORRECTLY processed on my account. I tell you what they do - They need to make there target for sales, so they just bill any persons account, and if they are to stupid to pick up the OVER-CHARGES, They just pay there account- PLEASE SORT OUT THIS MESS. Edgars Fashion / Edcon consistent fraudulent activities on my account

Edcon is not doing much to prevent fraud activity from happening, threes a department which is solenly responsible for red alerts but are not being proactive about any suspicious activities. This is the 2nd time around somebody purchases with my account for R5000 at CNA whats even more scary is i have my card in posession and for me this appears as an inside job. I dont know when edcon will catch a wake up call but u have fraudelent employees who mange to manipulate the system. The 1st time the same thing happened and somebody bought for R7000 why are u not conducting a high security check for such purchases. Eg. Confirmation 8f cell number, produce ID copy etc. Now everytime that department will only call me after the fradulent activity has taken place, what is the use? And im now supposed to run around for police avidavity form, dispute form, block the account and wasting my time. I dont think u know how daunting this is. Im getting frustrated every time and i now take a decision to part ways with edgars. Ive had this account for many years but as and when you still allow such events to take place on our account, edcon is just not worthy of my loyalty, my trust and i have lost all respect of the company. I actually feel disgusted right now.

Good day. It has happened once with me as well. I have never even been to the store where the purchase on my account was said to have been made. I find it totally unacceptable that i am the one who has to be inconvenienced by their mistake, since I am the one who has to fill in the forms, do the affidavit, wait for telephonic interviews, etc etc. My time is being wasted and my patience is being tested, all because of no mistake of my own. Very bad customer service. Since it was never my mistake to begin with, they should rather be doing everything they can NOT to make this any inconvenience for me, the customer. But it seems as if it works the other way around.. i mean, the reason for my having a Jet account is supposed to be for my convenience. I am also highly disappointed with Edcon.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon apply for an account

Since April I was trying to apply for a Edgar's/jet account, no feedback, tried online, yesterday I went into the store and submitted full documents, , the place is so messed up, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, the little lady told me I will receive a call YESTERDAY, I still haft heard from the little lady, now I called 15 times...

1. People went to scan my documents
2. They will call me in an hour
3. Three hours later I call, someone ionisers and laughs like its party time then drop the phone in my ear
4. No ioniser
5. Phone gets insert and then no one speaks
6. No ioniser
7. No ioniser
8. No ioniser
9.no ioniser
10. Phone gets picked up and then hanged up
11.no ioniser
12. No ioniser
13. No ioniser
14. Someone ionisers, I tell my story again, no your details have been disapproved, ok WHY I ask, no they need 3 Months bank statement, MY FOK! ek het alles in gegee. Ntabiseng then asks ok who speaks, , , how can she tell someone that her account have been dissaproved when she dont5 even know who she is speaking to? My word this is such a mess the way things are being done, , , is it SO HARD to just do your job NTABISENG, when I ask to speka to the manager, she tells me her manager is busy, I ask then to speak to the account people, no they are not there? Would you PLEASE just do something about your staff, give them customer service training! I will NEVER set foot in ANY JET or EDGARS store EVER AGAIN! I hate that place, please do yourself a favour and close your doors.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon blackberry phone 8520 speaker problem

Good-Day Edgar's Customer Care support

I have purchase a blackberry phone in Vincent Edgar's Hemingway's in East London on May last year, the phone heard a speaker problem and I took it in within two months, they kept the phone for a year in that process I would go and inquire about the phone, and they will say its still with MTN.

Now they call me after a year and tell me that my phone was not replace or fixed and mind you they said I must pay R330 before they can release it in man, I paid the money because I was hoping that I would receive the new phone or fixed phone.

I need your intervention in this regards as soon as possible as I will also try and find which place I can report this bad service.

I spend about R 1890.00 for the phone and within two months it gave me a problem and they kept it for a year and now they bring it back without any fixing or replacement.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon misrepresentation

I am highly annoyed with the service I have received from Edgars Clearwater. I arrived on Thursday, was offered 700 voucher when I open account. The gentleman said that all. It would take 10 minutes. I went to customer service and met with the gentleman. I was assisted by his colleague, to open the account. After about an hour waiting, I asked what was going on. They said they are waiting for approval. After about 90 minutes a lady came to assist. She called I am assuming head office where she was told that approval takes 24 hours... Firstly this was a complete waste of time and I don't appreciate it. I explained my frustration. I was called Friday late afternoon to collect card and voucher. Account was approved. I arrived Saturday morning. Told that the account was blocked... The services I have received has been appauling. After a good 45 miutes it was all systems go. I left the store as my daughter was finicky now. I came back on Sunday the 3rd as this was the final day of voucher. I was told voucher needed to be used when spending 1500. THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED NOR WAS IT STATED ON THE VOUCHER. I asked to speak to the manager. She agreed with my husband and I until the cashier showed her a sign with the 1500. Then she stated that the cashier was correct. I am highly freaken annoyed. I want my account to be closed immediately. . Now I am told some insurance was added on... please cancel everything. Then I am told I am liable for 98 rand for insurance. I beg of you to please resolve this. I will not be paying anything as I received anything but service from EDGARS EDCON CLEARWATER. I received grief, waste if time, waste of petrol. Waste of data trying to send statements twice. Resolve this immediately please. I am very very annoyed and saddened by the treatment I received.

I signed up for a personal accident plan a while back and to date I have not received any policy documents.I phoned on Monday 06/06/2016
requesting these to be emailed to me and were promised within 48 hours.

I phoned today and I was informed even if they were to be sent by email it would take at least 30 days for me to get these documents and that
the consultant that assisted me on Monday gave me the wrong information and this is how Edgars operates.

I need these documents as soon as possible or cancel the plan and refund me the premiums paid over to date.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon listed on credit bureau

I had an account with Edgars that i fell behind on as i lost my job. I made every endeavour to pay what i could but Edgars still listed me on Transunion as my account was a bad debt written off. This is completely untrue as i paid of an amount they gave me after a discount.

My details are now listed and whats worse is the ID number on there is not mine neither is my date of birth. But somehow its under my credit profile

Edgars Fashion / Edcon trainers I cant exchange and bad service

I had recently purchased a pair of sports shoes, 5 days back back to be exact at edgars greenstone.i bought them to mainly use it for gym, in the morning i put them on and could feel they are a bit too tight.
around lunch time today i returned em to edgards to get a size a bigger, a cashier asked me if i had worn them and i did agree that walked with them around the house.he then called a manager, pine, who was not even friendly or helpfull who just said to me he cannot take the shoes back as they have been worn coz the sole is not as pure as a new one.i had the slip and the original packaging, tried explaining that i didnt even train with them and he just said that they are my shoes now so i should figure out what to do with em.what kind of service is this really

Edgars Fashion / Edcon unlawful deduction of r39 for airtime from august 2014 to february 2016

I have for several months ie February 2016 to June 2016 followed up with Edgars to refund back into my account an amount of airtime unlawfully charged into my account from August 2014 to February 2016. This is Rocket Science for them to resolve.
Every month from August 2014 to February 2016 an amount of R39 airtime cell c was deducted, however when refunding, only approximately R174 was refunded. Surely R39 x 18 months cannot amount to R174. What makes matters worse, is staff members from Edgars who lie and say that they called me but my number goes to voicemail or I did not answer the phone. I sit with my phone the whole day and nobody bothers to call me which I have given to them more than 4 times already. On several occasions I have called and left messages for Thandi at [protected] and she won’t bother to call me.

5 June 2016 15h45 - Brooklyn Mall, Pretoria, Customer Services. I was there to return items, and for the umpteenth time left so frustrated and angry at the service which one receives. There was one cashier who was already busy with a client. I could see immediately that this was going to take awhile, as the client had a trolley load of stuff which she kept packing out, returning to the trolley, packing out more. No eye contact from the cashier or any attempt to call someone, or even just politely offer an excuse for the long wait. After 20 mins I was totally agitated and requested whether there was someone who could assist me. I had an hour at the mall in which to do my business and I had already waited 20 mins! She made no attempt to even answer me, again no eye contact. Some other employee came sauntering in and they had some form of discussion, but absolutely no attempt to respond to my agigitation. Eventually it seemed as if she was attempting some form of service in my direction. Her name was Gontse. I unfortunately forget the name of the first cashier. Totally ruined my afternoon of shopping. No excuse, on the contrary, made one feel unwelcome! Edgars is NOT my favourite store for shopping, and I will avoid it at all costs from now on.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon poor customer service at edgars greenacres rendered by the credit office manager by the name liezel flanagan

I am very pissed off and disappointed with the customer service which I and my husband received on Sunday. It is with greatest sadness to receive such poor service from a manager. I and my husband went to complain about the financial services with were added on my husband's account the time he opened the account, the financial services were included without his consent, the guy by name Siphosethu did not inform my husband about the services which he was accepting on his behalf, he included the financial services then took my husbands phone to read the sms which was sent to his cellphone and Siphosethu immediately deleted the sms. we then complained to the supervisor in the credit office she then called the Credit office manager to assist, since the financial services were not appearing in the system as yet, we were then told to come back. when we went back we were told that none of the managers were on duty or available. then we went back on 29 May 2016, to our surprise the manager started shouting at us asking us as to why did we go to her this store controller Liezel Flanagan was extremely rude. iam still shocked and could not believe that such unprofessionalism still exist in Edgars, I use to know edger's for its excellent customer service. I would like this matter to be attended to and I would like feedback on this complaint. one of the white customer who also witnessed this behavior tried to advise her to stop what she was doing. she even threatened to have me thrown out by security, she was doing all this clearly seeing that I am heavily pregnant. I am still in shock on how she treated us.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon customer service/ fraud on account

OK - I am spreading this as far and wide as possible (next stop is Hellopeter).

On the 12th of May 2016, my wife passed away, leaving all of us quite devastated. The same day my mother in law went to sort out suspicious activity I picked up on her account (I get her account via e-mail). She is 76 years old and hardly leaves the house.

She went to Edgars Key West and showed the manager her account - there were 20 prepaid vouchers on the account done over a span of 3 days (2, 3 and 4 May). She was promised it would be sorted out, but of course this did not happen and now her account is over R 3000!

Pathetic and utterly disgusting!

16/05/2016 im pissed off So I pick up a Tom taylorjean that doesn't have a price tag I ask one of the people to assist me they simply refused only to find out that pants a already reserved for some1 cause I found a contact details of a person so I asked again pls get me the price of the jean n the lady simply told me that it's for some1 else my question is isn't it that first come first service are your employees allowed to put away clothes for their friends? And the attitude of ur employee was disturbing just remind them they don't work at shoprite to every one who's reading this don't do us shopping at trade route edgars cause the clothes I want will probably won't hve a price tag n is reserved for some1 else

Edgars Fashion / Edcon falsely accused

I am absolutely appalled @ the service and treatment I received at the eastgate branch.
I went to do my shopping on sunday 15 may.
I went in looking for a dress.. Found something went into the fitting room with 3 dress (did my fitting came out) and returned the dress @ their department as they were not the right fit.
Continued with my shopping... I found a forever new dress and a jersey I liked, went back to the fitting room and did my fitting came out with the 2 items.
I took the forever new dress back and continued with my shopping,, next thing someone tapped on my shoulder turned around it was one your consultant and a security they asked me to follow them.. (no one said a word of where I was being escorted to)
Only to my surprised am taken to your control room, I find 2 ladies that where also in the control, one of ladies I think it is the supervisor asked where I put the forever new dress I responded and tolled her I put back @ the forever new department.. She then turn around and ask if I know the 2 ladies (I respond that I don't know them insisting that I even had a conversation with them.. Heaven know I had no idea of who they where… saw them I was going in for my second fitting they were coming out.. That's it)
Then the superior says to me well I know them, I respond that don't know them,
Then she say's to me that yes I do know them, then she searches my bag, the trolley I had with all the clothes and says to me where is the dress?
She them processed to let one of the ;ladies go look for the dress at the forever new department..
Still am in this room I never in my life thought I would find myself in being accused of being a thief.
The lady calls and says she can't find the dress, the supervisors ask me where is the dress my response is the same..
The supervisor accuses me of being thief that am working with the 2 ladies I found in there. (few minutes later she let the 2ladies go)
Am still in this room waiting, the lady come back with the dress in her hands..
No one had the decency to apologies (out of all the consultant in that room,, no one apologies)
The supervisor then (all of a sudden changes her story since the dress has been found that maybe those girls wanted to pick pocket me)
No one was decent enough to apologies, nothing
