Dyson review: broke their exchange promise and left me without a vacuum

The head on my vacuum will not go down to vacuum the carpet. Company sent me a handle.. that isn't the problem. After many weeks with the live chat I get an email stating this::

Order number: 1648296137

Exchanging your machine

Following your conversation with our Customer Services team, we’re pleased to confirm that your exchange has been booked.

We will deliver your new machine and collect your current machine at the same time. If your current machine isn’t available at this time the courier will not deliver your replacement.

Have your machine collected in three simple steps

Package your machine

Please use the original packaging. If that's not possible, make sure your machine is packed securely.

Returns label

The courier will bring the returns label with them as part of the collection.

Wait for collection

Wait for UPS to collect your machine.

UPS shows up today without the new machine but had a tag for the broken one. I call customer service and they tell me "We don't care what the email says, it's wrong and ur not getting a machine until u send the other one back to the warehouse."

That isn't what the email states! I get the new machine as I hand over the broken one. That is what it says!

So, conclusion is... DYSON goes back on their word and they lie to their customers. They have their customer service lie as well. They even refuse to send a box to put the machine in! She told me... policies change and we aren't sending u a box. But, I filed a complaint with the BBB too.

Next vacuum will be a SHARK!

Desired outcome: Send my vacuum as promised in the email sent to me.
