two items that were stolen out of my carry-on luggage
I recently returned from new zealand ek449 auckland/dubai a21.45 on 6th december 2016 and then ek501(?) dubai/london gatwick on 6th/7th december arrive 11.40.
I had a handbag and a carry-on zipped up bag containing an i-pad and a kindle. When i got home in the uk i realized that they had been stolen.
I did use these pieces of equipment on the auckland/dubai leg of my journey. This means that they must have been stolen at dubai airport. I am saying this because i did not open my carry-on bag during the dubai/london gatwick flight.
I wish to make not only a complaint but also a claim for these stolen items.
The cost of these items as the market stand is a combined cost of approximately £500. Five hundred pounds sterling.
I look forward to receiving your comments as soon as possible.
transfer wheelchair persons
After arriving in Dubia from Perth Australia, we were placed in a lounge for transfer (disabled) to await transfer to flight to Newcastle UK. We were assured we would be collected at a certain time, which did not happen. I approached the desk on numerous times to give them my concern that my departure time was very near. They were more concerned on who was going to work overtime, and talking Amongst themselves.. Finally arriving a the gate, it was about to close, and everybody was on board the Aircraft. This action was totally unexceptable, Having the Best Airport in the World is one thing, But certain staff need to understand the importance of Customer Care, and ensure they carry out there tasks

Despicable airport. How these people claim to be people of God is beyond me. The way they treat women, especially young solo travellers is appalling. Even the women staff are just as bad as the gorillas in uniforms. All balls no cock! I was ignored, shouted at, ordered to sit, stand, shut up in the most aggressive way possible. I hope I never see these people in England, or intact ever.
I just travelled from Pune-India to Dubai on 29 .01.19 and returned on 1 .02.19 on Spicejet Airlines .
When i reached dubai airport, my bag was missing .Ground staff at Dnata told me to make a complaint and they said that the bag seemed to be interchanged . My PIR No : DXBXH 38848
I had to travel to Fujairah same night and was there for only 2 days for business meetings, it was hell lot of problem/inconvinience for me .
I had to followup with DNATA and Spicejet office several times and finally Spicejet could identify the passenger who took the bag and was asked to return the bag which they did on 31.01.19
Since i was leaving Dubai on 1 Feb 19, there was no point to come from Fujairah all the wayjust to collect the bag and travel next day .So I came to Dubai Airport to claim the bag in the morning on 1 Feb 2019 by 11.30 am
When we saw the bag at Left Baggage DNATA, the lock was broken and when i checked the bag, few gift items and cash kept (for emergency ) were missing .
We were told by DNATA staff to file complaint with Spicejet and Dubai Police .We met Mr Vinod at spicejet office and alongwith him, also met the Dubai Airport police .
Dubai police tried to call the customer who had taken the bag and returned, but obviously they denied of removing the cash from the Bag .
Neither Dnata, Spicejet or Dubai Police took our complaint in writing .
For Spicejet, they just say that cash / gold is not our responsibility but they failed to respond as to answer how anyone can just take the Bag and cause us problems for their mistake and how can things be stolen from the bag (irrespective whether its cash or anything when the bag is in their custody ).
Ideally the customer should have returned the bag on his own, knowing it was taken by mistake, without opening the bag .However, spicejet people had to call them and tell them to return the bag which they did after 2 days .This itself shows their intentions.
The Bag was with the Spicejet ground Staff, Passenger who took the bag and Dnata Left Baggage till we got the bag . Its really necessary to find the culprit and should be heavily penalised all our lost things should be recovered .
If this is being done at Spicejet Ground Staff, then theres a big racket behind this which should be nabbed urgently.
We request you to look into the case and help us .

rude security and immigration staff
The security and immigration staff (specially the Arabs) at Dubai Airport are extremely impolite and arrogant. I understand that they have to run their security checks, but they can be polite in the way they talk. It took me 2.5 hours to get through the "Eye Scanning", and while we were standing in the queue, the security staff even shouted at some people for not standing properly in the line (is this a military parade going on?)
I would request and recommend every one to avoid Dubai airport at all costs.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Avoid at any cost Emirates and Dubai. 1st if you buy Emirates ticket you will end up with the long layover in Dubai. And Dubai immigration officers are very rude who still think they live in 13th century era. Calling themselves Muslim but don’t care about other nationalities. They are arrogant and feel themselves above all. Emirates charged skyrocketed money for the ticket for the family of 5 with more than 20 hr layover. Dubai connect refused to give us hotel because at the time of booking there was less layovered plane, but how to proof that at the time of booking there was only that option? So they asked me to give a proof which is how on earth I would have to take picture when I was booking the ticket. So despite getting turned down by Dubai connect, I still had hopes to enjoy Dubai during the layover time. I booked hotel out of my pocket and with three little kids after 14 hr flight arrived to Dubai. 1. Our stroller went straight to the last destination and I had to ask information and emirates officers about our stroller but it took me awhile to figure out what happened. With three kids I flew solo and my husband supposedly join us later after two weeks due to work. Flying 14 hr with three kids already exhausted but needed to show my kids promised big aquarium and dolphinarium. We headed to immigration officer and officer doesn’t look at you at all and always serious. By the way he is Emirati Arab. He said take off all the passport cases and I asked “all of it?”. Do you want just the needed part or all of it? He did not reply just started scanning the passports, I have given 3 passports without cases and the last passport left when two men in long white clothes came and the immigration officer talk to them something. And the two men collected all the passports and said follow us. Three kids running everywhere and my mind is with them. I said excuse me where we are going? And one of them said, “shut up woman!” for just asking question. I was in shock, excuse me I am asking where we have to follow you, and why are you saying shut up? So they took all passports and I had to follow them. They went to this head of immigration officer and whispered in his ears something and he start yelling at me in front of my kids, “how rude I am and how I was disrespected the officer.” I was shockingly start saying how disrespected? I just asked question and the head of immigration officer never let me speak. He was yelling at me and threatening how they gonna lock me up and take kids. How they will deport me back to the US and the kids will stay there. Never let me speak. I have asked them to let me speak and explain how I asked the question and that never meant to be disrespect. But instead the head of immigration officer start insulting the country I am residing and where I am from. How is that related to this situation, that he finds this insult to be in right place? Pointing with his fingers and showing how small I am and how I am nobody and nothing. When I started saying I am Muslim as you, he didn’t even let me speak and said don’t even go there, “you are not Muslim at all, don’t say you are mother and don’t even cry.” 30 more minutes I have listen his insults. That was it, my daughter 6 year old start crying and my son 2 years old hold his arms open and said “stop”, and my 4 years old said “you are making my mom sad!” And that’s when he realized that there were kids. He stop yelling. By this time the two long white cloth wearing men were laughing at the show, I was crying already unstoppably and asked “what would you like me to do? You don’t let me speak or explain. Do you want me beg on my knees and broadcast to all dubai? I will do that but do not yell in front of my kids.” The head of immigration officer called the first immigration officer who reported that asking question was rude and disrespectful to him, and I apologized almost kneeling down, “Sir, I have asked what kind of scan do you have so I can take out the passport case accordingly, you did not answer and so I have taken all the passport case. I have never meant disrespect in that question. I truly apologize”. And this immigration officer even then said “ I am accepting your apology not because of you rude woman but because of your kids!”. How arrogant and evil, if the person is apologizing he accepted with the insult. My body was trembling and we were late to dolphinarium show at 2 pm. Believe me, kids had nightmares at the hotel screaming and crying that night! They had big trauma. Which I don’t forget! Allah knows best and I will leave their punishment to Allah! I will never forget the moment, while I was crying and my kids were crying, those two men in white were laughing in satisfying way. How evil they are! The show was for them. Right after those two men in long white cloth with headscarves on head left the room, the immigration officer lowered his voice and brought water to my kids. Trying to calm after he gave so much trauma. When I did not want to take the water, My 6 year old daughter came to me and said, “please mommy just take for now and leave, they are not good people, they will make us cry again”. Right at the beginning they took my phone when I said I need a lawyer. So AVOID Dubai! I was going to invest in the newly island built houses, but pulled all the investments!
Thanks for this perfect analysis, you are spot on. I second your opinion: People must avoid the dubai airports at all costs for the following reasons: The Emirates Airlines tickets will costlier than the other carriers, the airlines will take you to the Dubai Airport (like a captive) on the pretext that its a transit point, and besides unleashing the most arrogant and coward dubai police to maltreat and humiliate you at the airport's transit security checkpoints, they will also overcharge for any shopping at the airport. Qatar Airlines is a million times better than Emirates and arrogant [censored]es of the dubai police/airport security staff.
Baby smugglers would find it easy work to get stolen babies into Dubai
It's October 2022 and having read the previous comments I can only mirror what was a shocking experience at Dubai airport. A rude and incompetent Emirati passport control and immigration woman (not a lady) and her manager Ahmed (a buffoon of a man with no manners and a little brain). My wife had our sleeping baby in the baby carrier. A very unwelcoming Emirati passport control woman cleared my wife (after she rudely kept asking my wife to stand on the mark when she already was, my wife kept calm). Without returning or checking our baby's passport or mine, She told my wife (with baby) to pass through to the other side. I asked the Emirati passport woman if she wanted us to turn the baby around so that she could do her checks and return our baby's passport. She snapped back saying don't ask me any questions, I know my job. I was alarmed at the reply and said it was a reasonable question. She kept saying dont ask, i know my job. I replied you know your job but I also have responsibility as a parent. She then jumped straight to threatening deportation. The craziness had just begun. After a 7hour flight, they told us to stand to one side with our baby and wait with no information. I saw a reasonable looking Emirati passport control chap and explained to him what happened. He went over to his female colleague and asked her what happened. At which point he said to her in Arabic what you are doing is Haram (forbidden or wrong in Arabic) and asked her to be reasonable. I then asked him if someone else can do the passport control checks. He told me that 'She' had blocked us in the immigration system so nobody could clear us. We stood there and was then escorted by police to a room where I was separated from wife and baby and spoken to very rudely by someone called 'Ahmed' claiming to be police. It was a complete [censored] show of bigotry, racism and temper tantrums from Ahmed the boss and his evil disciple the Emirati passport control woman. I kept calm and he eventually toned down. I was escorted back to the same immigration woman to be unblocked and cleared for entry. I said to her there was a misunderstanding and kindly process our visa. With a grin on her face she refused to process my visa and I was again escorted back to the buffoon Ahmed. He then threatened to deport me unless i say 'sorry' to her. I declined. In a complete personality shift he started begging me to say sorry to her with his hands in prayer position. I asked him not to do that. He said he would call her to his office and we would have a three way chat. After a long monologue on his achievements he explained to Her that this was a misunderstanding between us. In the end I was sent to another passport control desk who cleared me and my baby for entry.
These Emirati passport people are 'High Maintenance' children on a power trip not possessing manners. Approach with caution or not at all!
I fell in love with Dubai the first time i visited it in 2018 and on my first day i decided that i would visit it again maybe to buy a property and look for a small business to start. So i did visit it again. On my first visit i did experience the immigration officer being slightly rude but it was nothing big. However, this time was very different.
The immigration officer asks me to look at the camera for the retinal scan and turns away and starts talking to his comrade sitting next to him. For 20 seconds i kept starring at the camera while he was busy chatting and laughing and doing his work very professionally. After that i blinked. He turns and complains that my eyes were closed. So i tell him that they were open for the first 20 seconds and that's where it started. "Are you saying i am lying brother", he said that in an aggressive loud tone. I smiled so he wouldn't think i was challenging him and tried to reason with him but no. He got more rude and says, "do you know how to open your eyes wide"? So i kept quiet not to create any scene and i did as he told me to end this nightmare but that was not the end of it. In a very condescending manner he tells me that my eyes were not fully open and asked me to look at him in the eyes and see how he opens them up wide. He was taunting me. "This is your last chance brother". Enduring the insulting attitude and keeping calm helped me get passed this guy.
This was the warm welcome i got when i entered the Arab country. Great second impression.
As a Muslim i thought it would be better to visit another Muslim country. I was wrong.
I am just glad i didn't bring my family with me.
Anyone who doesn't mind being insulted with their families or friends can visit Dubai and experience the Arab hospitality first hand at the airport.
There are plenty other countries far better than Dubai to see for me.
Entering Dubai while black!
On December 30th I left my comfortable home in Northern Virginia in the USA to travel to Dubai to visit some friends and also celebrate the new year dubai style. I had fallen in love with dubai during my first visit in 2018 and was overly excited to return. The timing was also perfect for I needed to go to Ghana which is 8 hrs flight away to say a farewell to my coworker who had just passed away. On Feb 4, I left dubai for Ghana for my coworker’s funeral. While there I had a cold and was tested for malaria which was negative. However, I was told by a medical doctor to take malaria drugs as a precaution. It was a three day treatment and I was to finished the final dosage in Dubai. I arrived at dubai international airport terminal 3 today from Ghana at a little bit after 5am. I went through customs like everyone else and was cleared entry. I quickly rushed to duty free for some drinks and picked up my suitcases to head out. I had two suitcases and a box of food items I was asked to purchase by my friends. I checked all the items with Ghana customs to make sure I could bring them into beautiful dubai. I was cleared by Ghana customs and was issued a certificate that shows, The food items we’re allowed into Dubai. Well! On my way out of the airport, I was stopped by a lady a custom officer who asked that my items be scanned. I quickly complied and my suitcases and box were scanned along with my carry-on. The customs officer monitoring the X-ray quickly said I was not allowed more to purchased more than four duty free drinks and that they will have to take the rest of my drinks. I said that was fine and that I did not know that rules exited and that I have been buying the same amount of drinks since my first visit. They asked for my receipt which I couldn’t find at the moment but was able to find later. I was than told the extra drinks would have to be destroyed and I told them to go ahead and that I maybe able to get my money back from Credit card at a later time. I was told to sign a consent for the destroying the drinks. I followed the female custom officer named Fatima Ibrahim to sign the paper. She done decided to do a further check. This is when my biggest nightmare began. She checked all my suitcases for I don’t know what she was looking for but I sensed it was probably for drugs. She checked and doubled checked and tripled checked. At the same time putting me through full body scans twice and calling others to come look at it. She than proceeded to asked if I was pregnant, I told her no and that I was actually on my menstrual period . This lady Fatima continued to degraded and humiliated me while others custom officers and travels watched on. She covered her nose when she opens my food items to show everyone that my food stunk. At the end I was ushered by a police officer to their immigration office and I was told to wait. I waited for over 7 hours without knowing why. I was then moved to another immigration office on the up floor of the airport. The man who accompanied me asked me while I was there and I told him I had no ideal. Finally after another 2 hours of waiting I was told I have malaria and that they can not allow my entry. I told them I did have malaria and that the drugs was given to me for prevention. I was denied entry with no accommodation. I was only given a voucher to McDonald’s and cafe costa.
I had plans for Dubai. As a CEO of a health care company, I wanted to expend my company to Dubai to serve the people and to also enjoy the beautiful dubai I had fallen in love with. I had look into buying a home and making dubai my second home away from my beloved American!
I guess the people at dubai don’t want me!
Day 2 of my nightmare in dubai!
I woke up this morning February 20th ready to return to Ghana since I was refused entry. I was instructed by the immigration officers to contact them at 6am for my passport and suitcases to deliver to me for the 7:30 flight to Ghana. When The hotel reception called and I spoke with them, I was than told my passport will be given to me at gate B29 and my suitcases will be put in the plane to Ghana. I’m now in Ghana and my carry-on suitcase is missing with all my valuables in it. When I tried to report it, I was told it did not have a tag and therefore cannot be traced. I’m hoping and praying my carry-on suitcase would be found for I have items in there that are indispensable.
When I arrived in Ghana, an Emirates Airline employee who had assisted me while I was living saw me and quickly run to asked while I was back so soon. I told her my ordeal. She then asked me what do I think needs to be done about the way I was treated.
I had to stop and assessed my ordeal using my critical lenses to make sure that my response would be fuel with something that would serve as deter to prevent this from happening again to another person. Based on my experience, I do think there is serious language barrier that were between me, custom officers, and the immigration officers. Some of the custom and immigration officers did speak English but I couldn’t understand them and I’m pretty sure they didn’t understand me either. I sensed that custom officers did not understand their role and how they should handle travelers. For instance, Fatima brought many other officers to speak with me and asked questions but they will not finished their interrogation and walked out without allowing me to speak and answer their questions. In addition, Ms. Fatima Ibrahim was offensive and rude when she held her noise after opening my suitcase filled with food items. My recommendation is that all the custom and immigration officers should undergo cultural competence training to learn how to deal with others from different backgrounds other than theirs. Dubai is an international gateway for our world today and it must make sure all that comes through their gates are treated with respect and human decency.

Just reading through the complaints and found all of the claim are still very valid in 2019! Understand that coming into a country and they have their rules and regulations, but as a global traveller and a business woman, I felt I was really being mistreated and disrespected in this airport’s security lane, staffs from low down to full uniformed officer had such rude, condensing and ironically a disrepectful manner and attitude toward while shouting that I am loud and disrespectful towards them, if the whole process would have started with a friendly manner, none of this would have happened. They constantly tell to me calm while talking to me like a criminal, finger pointing by a female officer, a male officer even said to me this is not a shopping mall you don’t come in here like you’re shopping! Freaking ridiculous, damn well I know it’s know, just because I am Asian and a woman they think they can talk to people like that, I am not their people and just feel really lucky I am not, I Would never ever come back to this country, nor would I ever recommand anyone to come here for anything. An overrated, self centered city with culture that I would never understand.
I recently travelled through Dubai international airport I am a male was travelling alone on route back to Glasgow and I was subjected to full search of bags and person and was spoken to in rude manner but noticed two Muslim ladies wearing traditional wear [Burka] approach same officer who seconds before searched myself, he just gestured ladies through only to stop two European ladies and subject them to selfsame search conducted upon myself . My point is if security is paramount then why is he discriminating ? I asked security officer later only to be shouted at [ in Arabic ] myself and others on flight were extremely angry with this
I am pregnant and was travelling today with my two kids; 7years old and 3years old. we are just on transit and no one told us anything about prohibited kids soccer ball carried in our hand luggage to the plane. we were obliged to transit in Dubai and go out and come back the next morning at 5am for the next flight then the security check guards took the ball and said it is a dangerous item and they have to take it or take the air from it. I asked them to show me where is it in the prohibited or restricted items in the list they have, they didn't have any list and when I asked to show me the desk where I can complain cause there is no such thing they are talking about. they accused me of not respecting the police officers and they followed me to the airplane door and took me with my two kids to the police post. they made us miss the plane and they kept us there for long hours cause I refused to sign a paper they said I have to sign it if I want to go out. after waiting until 12 am and calling the embassy and having hungry and sleepy kids with me I was obliged to sign the paper without being convinced to do it and just because I didn't have any right to keep saying no cause whoever was coming there was by the side of the colleagues and looking at me like someone disrespectful disobeying their rules and culture.
I will never use this airport not come to this country for anything I can have a choice to make. disrespectful people thinking of other people below them and that you dont have the right for any questions .
My daughter had the same bad experience at Dubai airport. The lady (arab) was very rude and talked like she was gestapo. I remember passing through Dubai airport and they were never rude like other arab country security. They were always polite . Now they are so rude and my daughter says that she will try to avoid Dubai airport . Folks avoid the airport. There are many other countries to visit.
Been to Dubai many times over the years, I have family who live in Dubai. I am an Arab Muslim, born and bred in London UK. I will NEVER return to Dubai after my last experience at Passport Control. Such power-tripping and unwelcoming officers! Even as a business class passenger in Fast-Track. My family will be visiting ME from now on. No wonder my family are all clinically depressed after years of living here. My officer kept telling me to open my eyes wider and wider and wider and kept mumbling stuff in Arabic under his breath, and then addressed me in an angry tone by my name as if I wasn't listening to him. To the point where my eyes were watering because I had them wide-open for so long, yet he still kept saying WIDER. I felt like I was almost being bullied at a military camp or something, as I couldn't physically open my eyes any wider. He then told me to stand on a marker (which I was standing on) and kept repeating the instruction angrily as if I wasn't doing it.
After finally going through, my brother had told me his officer had done the same to him, constantly telling him to keep his eyes wide open and that he was doing it wrong, only his officer threatened to take him "to the office" if he didn't do it right. A frightening threat to someone simply following instructions! What is that?! Then the officer tells another officer to take him, and says in Arabic that my brother was getting angry, yet my brother remained calm and didn't say anything to him! My brother knows better than to show any attitude to Dubai officials. Then he began laughing at his passport photo and showed his colleague, who began to laugh too. Talk about humiliation. And thats makes it more frustrating: even when you approach with respect and kindness, they will (figuratively) spit all over you.
Then, when getting to the Emirates Chauffeur desk, the Indian lady behind the desk had such an attitude with us off-the-bat. She asked me for my last name, which I gave and spelled out to her politely. I then quickly spoke to my brother as he mentioned he forgot his wallet on the plane. While I was talking to him, she talks over us asking for the surname again, and as I am spelling it out again she just rips my boarding pass out of my hand (which was sandwiched in my passport) to look at the surname. Honestly shocking customer service when they are dealing with First/Business class passengers. Honestly though, I could only feel that she and others like her probably get the same treatment on a daily basis by local Emiratis that I did at Passport Control, and she has reached the point of being fed up with life.
Seems to be the general atmosphere that is developing in Dubai nowadays. I don't care, you will never see me back here. Plenty of much more welcoming countries in the Middle East and around the world. Its as though Emiratis have become extremely self-entitled and look down upon non-emiratis. They welcome visitors and tourists, but now that Dubai established its name globally, it seems locals have a very "We don't need your pathetic contribution anymore to our incredible city" vibe. They feel as though you NEED them, and they are doing you a massive favour by allowing you to be there... when in reality, they need the tourism to survive. There is no income tax (that's how much they needed people) and oil is running out. And now it seems like Labourers from India/Pakistan are getting fed up of being treated like 3rd class citizens and are more ready to vent their frustrations out onto innocent tourists. There is definitely a "divide" in the air which has created a very strange and uncomfortable tension that is beginning to manifest nowadays in Dubai.
Every rise has its fall, I guess. Shame it was so soon for Dubai.
lady staff don't have manners
the lady staff at dubai international have no manners how to treat passangers.
we were told to have a body scan, we went through once and it beeped. we were told by the lady staff to take our shoes off, that wasn't a problem in taking our shoes off the problem was how she spoke to us, her exact words were "oye take ur shoes off" i got extremely angry and tried to explain too the lady that a little politeness won't hurt but instead she started arguing and made it as if it was my fault. she took my passport and took it to the airport police. the police was no help as they didn't even listen to a word i said. the lady staff just said all sorts in the language i didn't even understand. anyways the conclusion to the whole situation was that they gave me a warning for something i didn't even do and they didn't have the cursity to even listen to a single word i had to say.
it just shows u can't stick up for urselfs now a days and if u try to ur the one who will get in trouble.
come on men of dubai try teaaching ur women some manners and respect for other people, it will help.

customer service
I wish to bring to your attention that the the staff at the Dubai International Airport are very impolite. They don't answer questions they just dismiss you. If you attempt to ask for the Second time, they get annoyed. I cannot understand why these people are even employed if they cant even assist a Passenger.
I also feel that the eye scanning for business class passengers must be done in separate line in a more convenient way. Currently all business class passengers also have to stand in a very long queue with everyone.
What was most alarming was how I was sent back from business class immigration express checkout line even though I had ticket to prove. The minder of queue was so rude he told me not to talk to much and to stand in last corner as I didn't Look Like A Business Class passenger. I honestly felt very hurt and intimidated. All I tried to tell him was that I was indeed a business class passenger.
This is almost the third time I experienced the staff being very rude and they give one word answers. It would be nice if some compassion and courtesy is shown to visitors who are looking forward to spending time and money in Dubai. Judging tourists by face or wealth is not correct. I cancelled my trip and returned back to my country as I honestly felt ashamed after the way I was spoken to. Many Air ports around the world are trying to reach up to tourists and look after their needs but I see no improvement in Dubai.
People don't have to speak perfect English but if they can smile, show some interest then it will go a long way. The saddest part is everyone tells me no point in complaining as they won't care. I hope you will look into this matter and try to improve the way the Dubai Airport staff handle people.
Worst service ever ..no sense how to talk with passengers ..no behaving skills ..
Hello my name is Julita I was flying from Phnom Penh Cambodia to Manchester UK with change in Dubaj i did not expect that you can treat passages like that the filoht was delayet due to weather conditions before loading in Dubaj on board the plane assured everyone with a change will not be a problem landing, it turned out that my flight is not, offered to me in 24 hours but after big quarrels rebooked our flight in 5 hours, three was no help where we should go in what direction without information it is a disgrace with such an aiport as Dubaj yes I can treat passengers I do not know if next time I will book you lines I am disappointed I do not recommend to my frends thanks
This happened to me too. I was a business class passenger and asked to go to the economy line and not allowed to speak. I was mortified and my complaints went nowhere.
The travel agency / ticket counter helpers Dnata forced me to buy a extra ticket from them by claiming that the country I was going to had some kind of law that states .That in order to go to country you had to a ticket going out of that country . I knew this was complete BS because I’ve been traveling in and that country for over a decade …. So, when I tried argue I started to realize that they were really getting a kick out of not letting me on my fight unless I buy that ticket… At the Dnata travel agency which was the only one close enough to buy a ticket and not miss my fight because I was already running late…the guy from the ticket counter even talked to the travel agency and said something to my travel agent which made him laugh and go extra slow… But also noticed the tourist industry workers in general are rude to people that don’t look rich I had to deal one the most stuck up airline workers I have ever see when my suitcase got misplaced …. Reading these comments made me realize that I’m not the only one who’s good time tourist industry workers tried ruin… It’s almost like they want us common folk down there ….. Even though we’re the ones that basically pay their salaries…. At the rate they are going now … Dubai is going to be un-trendy soon
I am completely agreed with the above mentioned detail about the rude behavior of the mostly staff.
I want to tell you some thing which happened to me when I was coming from Saudia to Duabi. I brought some water from Makkah (Aab-e-Zam Zam) which is very modest and precious for all Muslims if someone realize. The security checker a girl, told me to open my hand carry bag containing dates and water only and weight up to 5-6 kg.. I opened it and she told me again to bring out the water bottle (packed in poly thin bag) from the bag to throw it in the bin (blue color, big one). I asked why ? she rudely behave and get me to other person a security Officer (in brown uniform). He didn't listen my request and threw the water. I beg him I and all my family will drink this water in front of him, but don't throw it. he don't care at all, saying liquid is not allowed, not allowed...
After some minutes there was a foreigner who has wine with him in his hand and come out from security process. I asked again what is this ?
A non Muslim is permitted to bring wine which is also liquid !
2nd. I told him If bought wine or any other soft drink from duty free shop then it is acceptable for you ?
3rd. From Saudia (Jeddha Airport) they have also checked the bag and give me permission to take water with me. then why at Dubai airport it is prohibited ! ?
That is really amazing and shocking for us.
I want just to ask from the policy makers of the Airport Management ...is this a Justice that a non Muslim can bring liquid with him but a Muslim can not bring even precious water ?
my children and my relatives are very unhappy with this event. they were really waiting for this... I have nothing to say...
I completely agree with the above. They are illiterate, disgusting mannered peasants working in the immigration/ visa section. Next time UAE airport staff come to Great Britain they should treat them exactly how they treat tourists - like dirt. They want us to boost their economy, but, employ low class, aggressive people. Shame on them!
Above was a email which i sent to airport complain center from what happened to me there
Good day to you.
I was traveling from Germany to Dubai yesterday and i landed in terminal 3. After i passed the passport checking and baggage claim, on my way out, i was stopped by 2 of custom staffs which they asked me for my passport and after throwing some random questions about my work visa and where i work, they told me that if i smoke marijuana and when was the last time i smoked. I told them i didnt smoke and one of the guys threatened me that we have the testing equipment here and we can see if you smoked in passed 10 months, which in reply i told him we can go right now and you can check me and see that im clean. Again he asked are you sure? I said yes im sure. He asked me again that if i took any pills like teramadol and i told him no. All of this was while these 2 people were looking at each other and talking to themselves in a fun way. How ever i told the guy we can go and test me right now. If i have any drugs in my blod you can jail me and i dont say anything but what if there is nothing?! He then replied that has nothing to do with you and i did my job only.
And the end they just let me go but in a way that they think they know im a drug addict and they were just having mercy on me to let me go. I was humiliated in front of all those people and threatened, but i can not do anything. Atleast they could take me to one side and not do it in the middle of crowd. All i ask is just to make sure your staff know their place and not let these sort of accusations happen again without any consequences.
I've waites almost 20 minutes in the immigration line. At the screen on my line said "all passengers". With the relief that finally my turn came I presented my passport and visa to the officer. He asked "how are u" I replied in surprise "fine thank u". But He was actually asking "how are u in this line". Turns out I was supposed to be warned by some lady shouting that this was the line for residents- which I was not warned. I asles the officer why the screen wrote "all passengers" and was immediately to leave the line and go to anıther one or talk to the officer. One after the other eevertes me to another personelle at the end I found a quite impolite officer saying its not his problem and aksing me to wait another at least half an hour line. When I asked where I can complain, he gave an address that did not work, then tool my passport saying he would phptocopy it as I said I's complain, in a threatening manner. I can not belirve the roughness and inpoliteness of the officers, they just treat you as if u are their slaves! Hope someone gives these men some trainings in manners!
Hi,
I live in india i heard number of people missing their passports in dubai international airport that was a bad experience faced by my brother in law while he was travelling through emirates flight ticket from india to chicago
There was 3 hours halt at dubai international airport and went to the line for security check in that process he kept his passport on the desk in front off him he lost his passport with in 5 seconds of time funny thing is upper side of the desk there is a cc camera he requested the security to check but they rejected and sent him to the emirates office later they came to him and said there is no evidence of lost found in cc footage and they argued him that you didn't come in the emigration line. Even he went to the police station to give the complaint but they refused and sent to the emirates office.. Another one more person with the same reason he came to the emirates office. My brother in law heard the news by stalls in the airport that number of people is missing their passports in the same place while travelling 1st time. Careful with your belongings especially passport finally after 2 days he returned to chennai airport who is steeling the passports why these people are playing games of students future. My brother in law explained that was a very bad experienced what he faced in dubai international airport what these people are doing with that passports is there any terror links to isis or any scam is going on really allah should know what is going on there especially the same place... Be careful friends while you are travelling in dubai it's not at all safest place.

There is no use of complaining this department its useless because its own by government and you know how it works, the employee might be a relative or known person to any senior officer that is why he act like boss, if it is in india i would have kicked him at same time. They dont know about customer servise only they carry the name. They do the work as if they are doing favour of free. Any way take it easy, God is great!
Good Afternoon, I think we have to write our complaints to newspaper, because staff at Thai airways (Supervisor), treating very rudely passengers, they are not emigration to check visas! I am very disappointed with their NASTY BEHAVIOR.

On Wensday 3rd of February 2010 my mother Liudmila Evseychik had a flight on TG 518 Dubai to Bangkok. I, Alla Khrapovitskaya was accompanying my mother to check-in counter. The queue was moving to slowly and we were called to check-in silk counter (business class).
Staff at the silk counter Behzad Asadollah refused to check-in my mother because she had a return ticket to Dubai, but had no visa in hand. Behzad allowed himself to speak with us very rude.
I tried to speak to with supervisor of Thai Airways and was advised to purchase return ticket to Russia (home country).
I rushed to Dnata ticket counter to purchase return ticket Bangkok - Moscow.
After returning to silk counter Behzad counter was empty but he refused to check-in my mother, and Liudmila checked-in with next sitting Behzad employee. I am surprised how can staff at check-in counter refused to check-in passenger.
Because, of the nasty behavior of Behzad Asadollah I desided to write a complain letter to Dnata Management. I started writing the staff (Behzad) name on what he started to shout loudly why I need his name for, I was not answering to his shouted question, and we was hiding his budge from me. However, I had explain that I am allowed to take his name to write a complain against him. He became more nervous and told me that " In the street a lot of ladies like me". What did he mean by that words? Does the staff allowed to speak with the clients, passenger in such a rude way?
Also, surprised me that none of the staff, even the shift supervisor was closed by, but no one has react and stopped rude behavior of Behzad.
I went to security Police and explained all happened situation, Behzad refused of saying all of that. I had a conversation with shift supervisor, but not sure that he will have a talk with staff employee.
I am very disappointed with Dnata service, such a big company has staff employee who allowed to talk to a passenger in rude way.
Till today I feel very bad and sad and have to send complain letter to Airport Department.
I am requesting to take video recording from Airport security office to prove Dnata staff nasty behavior with the passenger at the Dubai Airport.
Looking forward hearing from you.
Best regards,
Alla

loss of cellphone
I travelled from SYDNEY to EBB with Emirates Airlines on 10th May 2008. I had a 24-hour stopover visa for shopping in Dubai. My journey with emirates airlines is still in mind. The kind people and the services are not comparable. I even became an emirates emergency doctor on DXBSYD flight. I really will not fly with any other again.
BUT on my way back on 12th May (Monday) after checking in at the departure terminal and after immigration, some security personnel at the last check point towards escalators down to the main terminal disorganized me and i forgot my cellphone in the container through the scan. I reported the matter at the last gate before boarding to EBB, but was promised that they would find my phone and send it to me. I contacted emirates officer at EBB Airport, and has sent several mails to the headquarter but in vain. Please can you check for my phone and send it. I know by now the power is down. so many thieves in Dubai Airport. My husband lost gold coin from his purse after scanning. It is open already but he is on a hurry so he did not check if he lost something. When he landed he try searching for the gold coins but its all gone.
Forget only if you must because other than forgeting your valuable items, there're those illicit shame-faced thieves whose prayers focus on any property incuding those under strict supervision. To crown it all, Mr Hassan Nasereddin's bag fell in the hands of the innocent while poor Dr.Bakehena's phone landed unsafely.More often than not, lost items, despite announcements, remain sorrow-cupfuls.My appeal however is that professional characters should desist from such acts of taking that which belongs to a client to maintain the image of their companies.

I have completely different experience than Mr. BAKEHENA FRANCIS XAVIER DR, as I was travelling from Dubai to Kuwait on Wednesday, 7th, January, 2009, taking flight number EK859, when I reached the boarding gate at the new Terminal 3, I discovered that I left a duty free bag with one bottle of Perfume in the new Business Lounge upstairs, which I bought from Dubai Duty Free when I reached the Airport, there was no enough time to return back to the lounge to get my bag (distance is a bit far), so I informed the Emirates sataff on the boarding gate, within 10 minutes, I noticed one Airport security staff running towards the gate with my forgotton bag,

poor customer service
I had a flight on the Nov 3th 07 from Dubai to New york jfk in Emirate airline. i had the worst customer service. a supervisor name Ghulam who worked that night at the luggage and checking passports was very unpleasant, very mean and unhelpful. He treated me like nothing. I was disappointed from Emirate airline. He charged 159$ extra for my wife's luggage which i had to check them in, because Dubai airport had new law for the luggage transfer. I explain to Ghulam to help and understand the situation but he did not care so he charged me which i think it was not a right charged.
Treated poorly by the staff and manager
I had to wait for my order for 2 hours
I'm now in terminal 2 departure gats f
The maintenance staff insist to keep one toilet closed from total of two for the entire place which is over crowded order the traveler to go to the next one which have I is full of people waiting for vacancy to enter .
In inhumanity way .
Thanks
While boarding spicejet 23.10 flight to Delhi on 18/2, I was subjected to abusive behavior by person frisking. I was pushed repeatedly behind the metal detector and addressed in a threatening, insulting manner. I complained about it to police incharge present there who showed no interest. The whole incident was shocking and humiliating. Pl enquire
Four days ago I went to Nadra for the renewal of my ID card. I lost my receiving slip. I heard that some one is travelling to Dubai on my identity. Please take action. I am uploading all photos of my original credentials.
The cordial dubai immigration officers need to more sincere about stamping on passport. They are very much capricious about this. They not follow which page have space more to stamping, they use new and several pages. One time I requested to use a page with number but the officer replied " its my duty ".
I hope you understand.
Sir,
I had booked a ticket to travel through airindia express and I was planning to carry a 55 inch led tv. So regarding the baggage information I called the airport office numbers - [protected], [protected] multiple times but no one attended the call and I had a hectic time leaving back my TV. My pnr number is :EDNMVU.
They did a complete body scan I am ok with it but they did it brutally without any respect treating me as I am a terrorist or a thief. No politeness and very rude security force keeping Dubai will be a non friendly city
There are 6 place and each point has around 7 connection point to charge mobile
In all 6 charging point maximum only 2 charging point is working. Rest of them not working
even on the pillar there is a connection to charge. even there as well it's not working
this is not a complaint. I have lost a pearl bracelet yesterday 15 May and think that I dropped it at the airport. I had flown from Birmingham to Dubai and then transmitted to Mauritius. When I was on the plane to Mauritius I noticed that my bracelet was no longer on my wrist. I do hope that it has been found. Regards Jill Castling
I agree dubai customs are the worst ever. Its my first visit to dubai and im 22 i went with my brother and two sisters i was wearing my hoody jeans any a t-shirt with my new trainers in other words i looked like a drug delaer or someone who is up to no good well thats what dubai customs thought i felt so intimitated as i am no were near the sort. As i arrived in dubai with my brother and sisters the customs checked our passport and gave me a awkerd look the officer pointed to his mate and said him with the hoody take him with you, i asked what for he ignored me and i was led of to a room and my family were left at the baggage collection area as i was sat in the room mthe man asked me to empty my pockets i had my cigarretes and my passport on me, he looked at my cigarettess and asked if ive ever smoked weed or marijuana i was shocked and said what gave you that idea he said because you smoke now that really got me angry. The officer then asked me to strip off so therefore a strip searched can be carried out. Once this was done i felt ashamed that my privacy has been taken away from me. once this was complete i met my family and we colletced or baggage and headed for the door but i got stopped again not my family just me was it my appearance? The man asked me in a rude manner " GIVE ME YOUR PASSPORT " he than asked me which one is your bag i pointed this to him he than scanned my bag through the screen once this was done he passed the bag to a lady in customs who was sooo rude it was unbearable. She checked all of my items one by one as she was checking this she started to smell my clothes then laugh to her mate and said something in arabic i could tell she was laughing at my clothes, she then asked me "did you wash your clothes" i was like beg your pardon then she said "you heard" ... Now that is rude after checking everything they made us wait for about 30 mins more then eventually they let us go but still gave us funny looks. This has been my worst trip ever its more like hell on earth i wish i could procced this further but its like they dont exist.
bad treatment by emirates securities in dubai
W: MANJEZI / S MRS You’re Ref. DXB/X/HG/100707/6576074
On the 24 June 2007 at around 7am from our flight JHB connecting to UK flight we (myself and my 9year old son) were travelling on school holiday from JHB to UK via Dubai , securities at the boarding gate to UK stopped us and asked where you going? For what? Where’s your id, driver's license and old passport, I did not carry those documents as we had our passports, they asked me questions like where do you get money to go on holiday? Why don’t you stay in SA? Looking at my bank statement where do you get this money? Who’s his father? How much cash have you got? They asked me about the visa, I told them I do not need a visa I am a South African and even showed the email from UK embassy, they then took it, Who's Makhaya Ntini? Sing your National Anthem after responding to those question they ignored us for hours, they even changed shift, I cried and they said UK official will interview me and they won’t let us go if I cried, and no official came and after some hours when I asked the reason I was told to wait, I could see there were not flight to JHB and they said we should go and sleep at the lounge and at 22H00 we should go and report at the boarding gate for our flight at 23HOO all this time they kept our passports. All my hotels were booked and attractions in UK return air tickets were paid, Even my hotel and visa for Dubai We were going to spend 2nights on my way back from UK was confirmed and paid for. I showed them the proof. When I send a query to their customer service they refunded me R4741.14 for the ticket and R2100.00 for the stopover and I used R25000.00 when I complained about the amount "Lynne C. Sandys, Customer Affairs" told me I do not appreciate and I flew, I told her I was not going to Dubai that time and her reason was "Our Security personnel were informed by the ALO that you would not be allowed to enter the UK without a UK Entry Clearance Visa from South Africa and, therefore, you were to be returned to your point of origin, that is, Johannesburg" they could not provide me the name of the person who gave that ruling and they never spoke to any UK official. “I have got her response” All I want from them is my money or fully paid trip (AIRTICKET, HOTEL ACCOMODATION AND ATTRACTIONS)
We contacted the UK embassy; they told us they never received any query about us and they never gave that ruling. The securities even lied about our flight to JHB and said it was at 23h00 and we should board at 22H00 they told us to sleep at the lounge, they kept our passports, I called the SA embassy they were told there were no flight and they agreed that no UK official interviewed us, only on the 25June at 10H00 I booked at the Dubai International hotel and we were deported on the 25 June 2007 on the 10H00 flight.
Above is their ref number.
