We purchased a number of glass panels doors with their "Paint and Peel" film so we could paint directly over the top.

We did this and the paint leaked underneath over the glass. We called them and were told because we hadn't painted the doors immediately after hanging that we had voided the warranty and were on our own. We painted them within 3 weeks of installation.

The National Sales officer (Charlie someone) initially refused to give me his name and then wouldn't spell his surname. Coward!

If the Paint and peel hadn't been there we wouldn't have relied on it - and we would have masked it properly. Now we're left with glass doors covered in paint! Useless.

Have taken it up with Fair Trading.

    I purchased doors from doors plus in January 2015 they were put in around June 2015. The door's glass was all scratched, after long discussions and rather rude staff it was agreed to change the doors. This took a couple of months. When they finally rang to organise a time the doors the brought were more damaged than the first ones. This happened twice. Than I was told that they will change the scratched glass. I agreed. They removed the doors . After waiting for months, with no contact from them I was told that they cannot change the glass and that those doors cannot be replaced as they do not get them anymore. I was told they had a better quality door that they will put in. The door arrived around June 2016 with no architraves. They said they are waiting for them to arrive from China. They finally came to install them 27th Sept 2016. They are a completely different colour . When I rang the store manager he basically said he had replaced them and there is nothing else he is going to do. I rang the main manager and as usual he was not in and would get back to me which he never does. I have rang over the last 18 months over 8 times to speak to him he is always out and will get back to me but never does. I just want the product I paid for.

    My mum needed a new front door as well as a security door, my mum is almost blind and i was hoping they wouldnt take advantage of her because of being old n almost blind.well doors plus did just that.
    Its starts i looked on line at doors plus broucher i seen a lovely stained glass white solid door on special $649 thought that there was expensive told mum she said ok we will go for that n also a screen door on special for $199.
    I ring doors plus and ivan answers the phone lovely custumer service he said he himself was going to my mums to measure n quite her i also told him shes partically blind he said its ok mam i will help her but she needs $140 when i get i ring mum n said you need $140 deposit and he will measure for you mind you i couldnt be there as im disabled n live 2hrs away.
    Ivan came out measured then mum said i thought you said the door was $649 n the screen would be $199 i said that wat i picked for you.mum said he asked for the $140 n said the solid white stained glass door will be $799 and the screen door $432 i said wat thats not wat i asked for so i rang ivan he said that was an old broucher.
    Now it was going to be 3 to 4weeks before the solid will go on so 4weeks i got a message saying to have the money ready the door will be going up friday 11am, now it was 11.20am i rang mum n said has the door people come yet she said no so i hung up n about half hour later my mum rang me n said you aint guna belive this the door man came he was so sorry he had gone next door n put the door up there then when he asked for the money the people there said we only rent here we have no money the the door man relized wat he did wrong n went to mums to see if it would fit n my mum said i dont want it if it dont fit the doir man tried to see if it would but it didnt.that was just one muck i rang doors plus michinbury n told them how incompetent they were n now my mum was going to have to wait another 3 to 4weeks grrr.about aweek later ivan rang me n said that it would take a long time for another door like the one we had picked so he offered us a similier door but brown mum really didnt want the brown one the he said there was a white one in stock but doesnt have 2 stained windows it only had the one n of course he said its costing more than the one your mum wanted but we dont have to pay any extra due to their now the solid door was put up yeah but the chunks of wood they did in the side of the door way they made are a joke n left it like that pictures will be attached to this story.and then finally after 3months the screen doir was put on yesterday with a disgusting disfigured doorway photos will show the end results.never buy from doors kranky custumer😡😡😡

    That is a very unfortunate situation that you have. I probably would have done the same thing as you and painted over it because it had the peel. Hopefully you can get things resolved in a way that benefits you!

    If only we knew.
    Doors Plus commit FRAUD. They sold us a door at an extreme premium, installed a seconds door, made up prices on the receipt (eg. telling us something was complimentary and then charging for it) etc. We will take this to Fair Trading but I cannot believe such fraudsters are in business!!!

    WHERE IS THE FAIRNESS and regulation on scammers and criminals like this_!

    I too wish I had researched more about Doors Plus. We are dealing with the company in O'Connor Perth and what a waste of time and energy and complete frustration. After ordering and paying a large deposit and many phone calls to the company we finally had the door arrive two months later. We had a wider door than is usual and paid a lot more because we wanted a door that 920 wide. The installers turned up, I queried the size as I had had so much difficulty getting anything happening. They said yes it was but I saw door sitting on saw horses and again queried the size. They said you had better come and look. I did so and heard that Eddie (the Owner/Manager) had told them to cut at least two centimetres off each side as the door had been dropped and damaged. I was very angry because of the lying and deception being carried out. I wanted and paid for 920 doors and that was what I was going to have. They were not happy as they only get paid for the installation. So talked to company about the duplicity and my expectation of getting what I had paid for. Two month later nearly after many phone calls the installers came to install my door package and have ended up screwing up what could have been a reasonably good set of furniture. There is daylight coming in between the door frame, the use of blunt tools has made messy hinges, crooked and poorly installed locks. Totally disgusted as I believed that we had carpenters installing them and this is certainly not the work of competent carpenters. Now I am about to go to the store and explain just how cross I am and hopefully if I can have some customers rethink buying there I would be a tiny bit happier.

    I am debating about my next move but from the various blogs I read I will be seriously disappointed and there will be no trying to improve what has happened.

    You are not the only one that has had the 'top' of the range bad service from Doors Plus. The web is full of complaints...if we had researched first we never would have purchased french doors from them. We have had more than 12 months of problems and they are never ending. I have never dealt with a company that deals with their customers in such a poor fashion. We are taking them to Fair Trading and small claims. I am hoping that we will have no doors on our house for a while because I would rather have our $$ back ...isnt that unfortunate. The more customers that take action against them the more chance of them going into liquidation.

    I agree 2000% and experience in sydney. I've paid big premium ammount for 16*20 door with sides. To get it installed within 2 weeks it was an urgency because I've booked to overseas trip. Paid advance as well. No one contacted me by the due date. After I contacted them, they say doors not arrived since then calling twice a day to check the status because of urgency. When ever I call them past the due date of installation.
    1) Manager says they will give me a callback - never called me.
    2) Employees says, they will give me a callback in an hr - called me 4 days later says some parts are not arrived yet.
    3) 2 weeks later employee called and booked for installation 10 days later by not considering premium service.
    4) Since then contacting manager to whom I've paid the advance, to consider for early installation. He says doors are not arrived. give me a callback when doors arrive - As usual never called me.
    5) Day before the second due date of installation, called them to double check they are coming to install. You know what funny happened - Doors arrived told me that dates available for installation 10days later. - I'm totally upset by this time only 2 days left for my flights. I've to cancel my travel which has costed me 1000 buks.
    6) Asked them to cancel my order because of their fault and return my advance back - no return I've to loose which is another $1500.
    7) 6 weeks past the initial due date finally doors installed but crap and poor quality(didn't any thing near the price I paid for).
    8) During this time I've developed stress and tensions. Lost 3 days of salary as a contractor close to $1000.

    I'm thinking of raising it to fair trading and advice anyone who reads this please make up mind not to go with Doors Plus otherwise prepare for Very High Fuss. Finally Bad integrity, Bad Customer service, Bad installation, Bad quality - I can't see any thing good except offering false information to attract and pay for the advance. I guarentee no one will visit again.
