My Bush washing machine became faulty and the Domex engineer came on 02 May 2025. The machine was close to the wall and there was a water pipe on the floor with a dead end. He pulled the machine sufficiently forward and then tried to tilt the machine backwards on its rear feet. But he failed and the washing machine fell flat on its back on the water pipe on the floor. The heavy fall dented the pipe at the end cap connection. The washing machine also became dented on its back at the top. But the engineer didn’t mention these damages in his report.
He came on 13 May again. He pulled the machine forward and repaired the machine. Then he pushed it back towards the wall pressing the dented water pipe on the floor. The damaged end cap eventually collapsed and water gushed out on the wall, floor to cause flooding. Then the boiler stopped working. This happened after he left and I reported the incident the same day to Domex. They have my conversation recorded because they do record every call.
On 14 May Domex sent another engineer to inspect the damage. He saw the dent on the back of the washing machine but didn’t mention in his report.
For four days we remained without any hot water and life was seriously disrupted due to flooding. The negligent engineer damaged both the water pipe and the washing machine. Finally I paid £90 to a profession company to repair the pipe. I have sent the proof of payment and a photo and video of the damaged washing machine but Domex’s Zac Marsten is denying responsibility.
We want a reasonable settlement without escalating the matter.

Claimed loss: four days without hot water, flooding, damage of sofa

Desired outcome: Reasonable compensation

I forgot to add that my losses include £90 as cost of repair of the water pipe and damaged washing machine (photo attached)
