BAIT AND SWITCH" attempt by this contractor!
"BAIT AND SWITCH" attempt by this contractor! On December 10, I purchased a water heater from ***. The only *** approved contractor in my area to install my water heater is Delta Mechanical, Inc. I received a written INVOICE from Delta Mechanical for the installation of my water heater. THIS WAS NOT AN ESTIMATE! You can see it is an INVOICE and not and ESTIMATE with "TOTAL DUE" at the bottom. The price was $1024.41. When the contractor arrived at my home, he raised the price! I sent him away and cancelled my order. Additionally, Delta Mechanical's customer service reps do not answer their phones! They, either, leave you on hold for 15 minutes and, then, disconnect or (when you are lucky) allow you to leave a voice mail after 15 minutes on hold.

On 5 October Delta Mechancial Colorado Springs came to install a Rheem XG40T12HE40u0, the contract listed a TK-123-Expansion Tank that should have been installed, but the plumber chose NOT TO, and $95.00 was taken off the total expense. I have E-Mailed Customer Support with a extensive e-mail with a picture of the installed water heater and TWO attachment regarding Colorado need for Expansion Tanks for Water Heaters and "Closed Water System". They never answered my E-Mail regarding this issue. I called Delta Mechancial in Colorado Springs and they referred me to Customer Service (***) who called me on 12 Oct and told me that I would receive a call from Delta Mechancial Colo. Springs that day or the next (13 Oct) at the latest, I NEVER received a call to this day, even though I called *** AGAIN and left a message with name, #, explanation, but never got a call back.

I recently purchased a water heater from *** and purchased it with installation. Delta Mechanical is the *** contractor. They came to my home last week to install. I have two water heaters in my house and when the contractor arrived I led them to the basement ... showed them that I had a leak ... explained that I suspected the leak might stem from one water heater but asked them to check because I'm not a plumerias and don't know. They proceeded to remove the water heater they believed was the source of the leak and replace it. Turns out they removed the good water heater. I contacted them immediately and explained they had removed the wrong one. They sent their agent back to my site and he told me that both water heaters must have been leaking. I told him that couldn't be the case but I promised that I would reach out to the provider of the other tank. They in turn validated that the wrong tank had been removed. I contacted Delta again and asked that they return and reinstall the good water heater they removed. I learned that they had already disposed of it. They offered to find an equitable solution but that solution was basically to sell me another tank at a slightly discounted rate. This is completely unacceptable. They removed the wrong water heater and should stand behind their work. They are now trying to suggest that I gave specific instructions to remove that particular water heater and that's a lie to cover their tracks.
