Disabled American Veterans [DAV] review: Helped me file a disability claim that was ultimately denied

I went to the DAV in the Mission Valley VA location. The representative that "helped" me suggested a $500 donation. I told him that I did not have $500. I asked him, "will you not help me if I do not donate?" and he said, "pretty much". We filed the claim and on my way out I was approached by my former CS1 Muecca. He was part of the group of my upper division that harassed me while I was enlisted. I was sexually harassed by my direct supervisor and when I reported him, I was punished. I was then harassed until I was discharged, I sought the discharge due to the constant harassment. This man approached me and asked me all kinds of personal questions. I froze. When I finally got away and into my car, I broke down. When I got my denial, I felt like it was a direct result of not donating and that my former CS1 both had something to do with it. I have a visceral fear of filing again after this experience. I will do it though..it has just taken me far to long to get started again.
