Dallas BBQ Disgusting refried old oil chicken & ribs - hard as a rock cornbread

My friend and I arrived at Dallas BBQ - Times Square (located at 241 W. 42nd Street between 7th and 8th Avenue) at approximately 10pm on Thursday, November 11th 2021 after leaving a play at the Golden Theatre.

An employee, who was at the take out window, by the name of Nicolas took my order, which included two (2) five piece Texas Wings; #5 Special Baby Back Ribs with Baked Potato; one (1) sprite; two (2) Cornbreads and a side of Homemade Cole Slaw. My order #1774093 was opened at 10:13pm and closed at 10:16pm.

In about ten minutes (10:30pm), my order had arrived, which made my friend and I ask Nicolas, "That came to fast, is the food fresh." Nicolas proceeded to say that the it was a slow night. My friend was taking one of the five piece Texas Wings, a cornbread and Homemade Cole Slaw to her home, and I had the rest of the order to go to my home. We proceeded to the train station and went our separate ways.

At approximately 11:28pm, my friend text me to say that her Texas wings were not fresh and that she could have "thrown her cornbread at someone and be brought up on assault charges" because the cornbread was so hard. I then proceeded to open my bags and could smell the old grease on the chicken and tasted a piece of the Baby Back Ribs and tell they were old as well.

Next, I immediately contacted BBQs Time's Square and spoke to Nicolas. I explained to him what we discovered that the food was old. He stated to call back in the morning. I explained to him that I needed to speak to a manager, and Nicolas sent me to a voicemail where I left a message.

I immediately called back and a person who identified himself as "Dennis" answered the phone and stated he is a manager. I started to tell him I just left the restaurant an hour ago and discovered that the meals that I purchased for my friend and I were not fresh. That the chicken itself was old and was refried and covered in oil. Dennis cut me off in mid part of the sentence and stated, "Oh no we dont refry food." I told him there are several things wrong, 1) the product is not fresh, 2) the product is covered in grease, 3) the cooks are not preparing it properly and using old oil. Dennis then had the audacity to say, "the wings are fried.. they are supposed to have grease." I told Dennis this is not a joke, I spent almost $60 at the establishment and came all the way home to discover I can not eat the food. I asked to have the situation resolved. A long pause occured and I begin to ask if he was still on the phone. Dennis then rudely asked, "Are you finished." I stated to Dennis his customer service skills are beyond poor and would like to speak to the General Manager who runs the Franchise. Dennis stated he was on vacation. I said, "Well thats convenient.. who is in charge." Dennis then proceeds to laugh and said "you people" are funny, I tell you the person is on vacation and you don't believe me and say that's convenient. I said this is not a joke, I want this to be resolved immediately. Dennis tells me to give him my Order Number, come to the franchise with the food, and then he will reimburse me.

Now, this is absolutely absurd, since the establishment closes at 12 midnight and we are still in a pandemic. No, I am not riding the subway or spending money on any other form of transportation at midnight when service is now limited. My friends stomach is hurting from eating one of the wings and I have a bag of untouched food. The vulgarity of Dennis to dismiss my complaint and laugh at me like I was calling BBQs to have a comedy hour. I was just entertained at a Broadway Play and already had my fill, I did not need Dennis' snide comments and crass attitude.

Desired outcome: I am asking for a full refund of my $57.10 and a full apology.

Dallas BBQ long wait

On October 15.2021
I visited a Dallas BBQ at 1265 Third Ave. I was told that the order would take approximately 10 minutes. The actual wait time of the order was 25 minutes. Needless to say, I wasn't a happy camper. I believe that 25 minutes is entirely too long to wait for an order of wings especially if the restaurant wasn't crowded. I like the food but I don't think I should have to wait a long time for a meal.

Dallas BBQ Food and service

My family and I, coming from 2 different states, attempted to celebrate a birthday at your establishment on Friday evening to be rudely informed by management that because we didn't all have COVID vaccination cards, we could not dine in. We were told that we should've checked the website, which I had, and there was nothing stating any COVID requirements. The manager cursed at my husband outside in front of a street filled with people and told him he should've got vaccinated. The state that we reside in does not have the requirements that we later found are now standard practice in New York and should have been addressed in a professional manner. We drove 2 hours from Pennsylvania and had others that drove from Connecticut to dine at your establishment. We then decided to order it as takeout, spending )143.56. The wings were not extra crispy as requested, there was no ranch sauce with the shrimp as requested and the steak was not prepared as requested and needed to be recooked. Your establishment was highly recommended, but a complete disappointment given everything. I attached my order so that you could see the specific details that were stated in the order.

Dallas BBQ Food quality at nostrand ave location

Hello, this evening I went to Order a rotisserie meal for my kids to eat while we drove back home. This was our first time going to I placed a pick up order for the meal. I went in and ordered a steak shrimp and chicken combo to go.
The chicken was undercooked (couldn't feed my kids)
The steak was over cooked (cooked digest).
I didn't think to check the food because of all the high ratings I hard about you guys. Then I ordered a large ranch to go they gave me blue cheese. This was a $60/$70 meal that went down the drain and had to buy us all food again. I have one of the receipts left but the other one was attached to the bag that I tossed. Dallas BBQ Intimate

I've came here twice in 2 weeks and I always see the same couple touching each other which I think is very inappropriate due to the customers and to the restaurant itself.. this shouldn't be aloud to avoid any type of drama the girl was my server her name was Ashley and a guy with long hair and long beard I thibj I overheard his name if not mistaken Dubai or Duvall. I'm complaining because I've seen them twice already and they walked out together I said what in the high school is going on here. Not good should take care of it means it keeps happening

Dallas BBQ I am complaining because this location lacks customer serice

I went I. To Dallas bbqs and wanted to be seated at first. Nooone came to seat us. I decided to just do take out because I was running out of time. I waiting by the to go orders for 20 mins and no one came. The bartender didn't try to go get anyone. I also asked the hostess when he finally came and again no one went to get him. After waiting for 20 mins he came back to the bar to grab something. I asked to place a order and he said hold on and proceeded to the back again. He never came back out after another 20mins. This is so rude and disrespectful especially when you are working with people who has a job. Most of the customers come there for a lunch break and etc. for it to not be busy at all, the customer service should of been better. No manager came after asking for me and the take out person never came back. The bartender didn't even want to take the order. As a manager of a restaurant this is very unprofessional and should be fixed

Dallas BBQ Product and service!

8/23/21 6:59pm I placed an order at BBQ CoOp City. I received it at 8:56pm. I am approximately 1/2 mile away. I was told to give them 45mins. I called back in an hour, I was then told there was a problem with delivery and it would be another 30 mins. I received cold food, and an incomplete order. I did not receive the chili that goes with the taco salad, nor the sour cream. I called back again, I'm on hold for 8mins& 56 seconds to be told by the manager that they cannot deliver the items they left out, and I would have to call Door Dash. I call Door Dash and the driver's number is no longer available. This is the absolute worst service and product I have ever received. I will never go to this place again.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for the $25.93 I spent for waiting 2 HOURS for a cold and incomplete order.

Dallas BBQ Food and the bathroom

I visited the 180 Livingston street location on 07/21/21, I ordered the shrimp and wing combo, my husband a Turkey burger and fries. My wings were not cooked on the inside with the outside fried hard, meaning the grease was too hot and the outside cooked but the inside didn't, my husband fries were cold, after we waited about half an hour.
The ladies' restroom was filthy, and my husband stated the same about the men restroom. The restaurant was empty, so all of this is unacceptable. And all the manager Omar did was take 6.49 off the bill after I was served cold fries and under cooked chicken.

The best service was from our waiter Charysma, who was more apologetic than the manager, who never came to the table When I requested for him. This is inexcusable I look forward to hearing from you

Dallas BBQ Bathroom

Wednesday, June 9 I went into the BBQ restaurant at 2146 Nostrand Ave. in Brooklyn. The hostess took me to a table and I asked if I could use the bathroom first. I'm 72 years old, I took the elevator as opposed to the stairs and went to the bathroom when I open the door I was looking at a disgusting unsanitary bathroom with broken glass on the floor. I made a video and went back upstairs. I asked to see the manager and when he came I handed him my cell phone so he could see the video. He told me he had no knowledge of the bathroom being that way and the only way he would know was if someone showed him or told him. I don't know if he sent someone down there or not.

Desired outcome: Create a work sheet that says every hour someone came in and checked the bathroom and have them initial the sheet. If this is done on an hourly basis the bathroom would not look like it did

Dallas BBQ The food

My son ordered online some food for Mother's Day. When he came home with the food it was unbearable. First the food was cold . The pork look like it was there for weeks, dry out the chicken wings was there for days and the steak was as tough as leather. The only good thing about it was the drinks. I would like a refund of $131.00 I have pictures.

Dallas BBQ Employees are not wearing masks & eating over food & bar

One of the employees was clearly on her lunch break and decided to eat at the bar. Not only did she not have a mask on she fed other employees with the same fork she was eating from. I am disgusted and will no longer be buying food from here. During COVID we should all be more careful. Clearly they were not. Also there was no 6ft distance. Everyone was crammed in the restaurant.

Dallas BBQ Rude service to customers

The owners in the Jamaica New York location as well as the other locations outside of Manhattan are just downright not nice to their customers refusing to take reservations and especially on Friday nights and Saturday nights when it can get quite busy. If there's a large party of like 5 or more people they need to have enough of respect to allow customers to call ahead of time to make reservations because for a party that at 6:30pm for example I will not tolerate having to wait over an hour or more for a table and get stuck eating at 8:00pm when I should be eating at the scheduled time of 6:30pm and they need to seriously change how they treat their customers because it makes me mad when they don't show respect for their customers and make them wait for extended periods of time for a table

Dallas BBQ Food

Hello,
So i ordered on Uber eats and received my order with only 4 wings not five. I reached out to the Fordham Road location to inform them and they did nothing. Not to mention it makes me wonder if my food was tampered with or just a mistake. There is no real security safety for you guys food when it's delivered besides the bag being tied. What would insure us the customers that are food is not tampered with is if i stuff had a tamper proof seal. I can't even eat these wings because i don't know if it was an mistake or my food was tampered with

Dallas BBQ Event birthday party disaster

I am writing this complaint to the Bay Plaza Dallas BBQ's manager Anthony, and well as the on duty Manager (of Indian descent). On 3/4/2021 I contacted BBQ and spoke with Anthony about a surprise birthday dinner for my mom. He sent the wrong menu, and now I've based my event on what was sent and have been told no I can't use that now. Ruining my surprise birthday dinner for my mom, who I explained to him recently had a stroke, and we wanted to bring our family together in solidarity and use your venue as the meeting place. Throughout this process Anthony has been super evasive, and I've been in contact a lot to only get responded every so often. Once we decided to go through with it, my sister goes to the location To sign the contract and leave a deposit and the manager on duty (which should've been Anthony because he said he'd be there but WAS NOT) said we couldn't use the menu sent and accused of us picking the wrong menu when we were SENT THE MENU by Anthony. Even with his mistake we are being faulted. As my sister began to depart, this manager bad-mouthed her and had a few unpleasant things to say about my sister. This is ridiculous. And very UNPROFESSIONAL! My mom's birthday surprise was supposed to be March 20th 2021 at 6pm. I am now stuck deciding if I want to even have it there being I was misled and then lied on. I've even had an event a few years back for my mom at your location. The reason why I came back in the first place. But now I feel very disrespected, unappreciated as a returning customer willing to spend hundreds of dollars at your establishment. This is not the way you treat people. Own up to your mistakes and make it right for the customer. And the next time the managers want to trash talk a customer, at least wait until we leave. This is truly pathetic behavior.

Dallas BBQ Cleanliness during pandemic

I recently visited the Dallas BBQ restaurant in Co-Op City Bronx. I was concerned when I noticed that someone in the group at the table next to me had vomited. Accidents happen. The problem was how the workers "cleaned" the mess. Paper towels and swept it up. No actual disinfectant or chemicals used. It wasnt even fully swept up but they wiped down the table and prepped it to have the next guest seated.

Dallas BBQ Server and Manager

The server was 100% unprofessional. Took 15 mins to take our order. We waited 30 mins for appetizers for that to come out with the food at the same time. On top of that the food wasn't our order. The manager was rude. Made it seem like we were wrong cause his server didn't have the proper skills for the job.
In addition we had to wait another 10 mins for the food to come out basically freezing cold. Then he sat there and got an attitude because I said I'm leaving because the service was unprofessional. They also gave me a fake manager name cause I said I was going to report this to corporate which I am. This restaurant was the one on Fordham Rd

Desired outcome: I would like these employees to be reviewed especially the restaurant.

Dallas BBQ Baby ribs

First the order was way to messy. They took so long to delivered the order (almost 2hrs). The baby rips that I ordered had a shrimp inside with rice stick on it (like from a left over order) so disgusting and with this Covid 19 going around even dangerous. The fries looked like old. I paid 54.18 on Uber eats for this order and I demand a refund (minimum). Please. This is so bad.

Order Place on 01/17/2021 at 1:55 pm - Food delivery arrived at 5:10 pm after various communication with the center and the location of Fordham RD., whereas per my communication with Supervisor Daisy (Fordham Rd. location) She got an attitude, unprofessional and ending hanging the phone at me. With no resolution. She have stated that she never received any order, but she never call the center to verified. It appears that the order was place to East Village location instead to the Fordham Rd location. There is more...

Desired outcome: Optainning what it was promise in writting and a written apology from Daisy Supervisor and Max supervisor at center.

Dallas BBQ Indoor service

My cousin and I came here to eat, we ordered food and one alcoholic beverage for her. She is 24 years old I am 21. I don't drink but they insisted on seeing my identification. I showed them, my cousin doesn't have her hard copy of her ID but she has a clear picture and several bank cards to verify she is who she say she is. We asked to speak to the manager, he came and asked what was the issue. She stated that she has come here several times to order out and indoors months before this pandemic while purchasing alcoholic beverages and they never asked her for ID. The manager went on and said he can't take that because she doesn't look her age. He won't ID someone that looks 30 and older, that's body shaming as well as age discrimination. Nonetheless there are others here ordering alcoholic beverages without being asked to see ID. I just feel like if your going to enforce rules it should be 24/7 that your open not when you feel.
