Crestline Windows and Patio Doors Crestline windows

All the windows in my house are Crestline and all of them failed. They are wood inside and aluminum cap outside. Because of the poor seal the water infiltrated between the aluminum cladding and the wood, causing the wood decay. All the windows and the sliding door have the same problem: trap the moisture between panels, bad seals, very leaky, bad locks, the spacer between panels absorbs and retain water. I've contacted the company, and they offer 50% discount on glass only. What should I do with the glass only when the entire issue is the sash itself? They asked for receipt or for windows codes. After providing the codes their sales rep lead said the windows are vinyl. How can be vinyl when they are wood. I am looking at them and they keep saying according to their records the codes are for vinyl windows.

So, did they use cheap glass on wood panels and sold at the higher price?

How did they say the code is for vinyl windows when they sold me the wood panels? The code is between panels. How comes they record shows vinyl when they are actually wood.

Crestline Windows and Patio Doors Crestline 350 select window

Maybe we should have waited to contact you first but we didn't. I purchased 4 350 crestline windows March 6, 2021, order confirmation # [protected] from Menard's, it took about 2 months to get. I understand this and I am not complaining on time line for delivery. We had a contractor put our windows (3) in our living room. The second window we could not get to fit our opening so it was level and plum, we left it and put 3rd window in. When finished we went back to second window and it wouldn't line up, locking was hard, we couldn't raise the window and it stay open, it just wasn't fitting. So we took our fourth window and first try of fitting it in there was good. So I was stuck with a window that wouldn't work right and didn't want to place in our other opening and not have it work right. So we took back to Menards and given a refund, I didn't want a refund, I wanted a window to replace the one that didn't work. They sent me back to order my window, we ordered the same as we ordered four, only difference instead of paying 313.69 each for four windows, I'm asked to pay 390.92 for the same window. I was irate. I feel that my window could have been ordered for the same price. I'm stuck with ordering the 390.92 window to replace it. I feel that they could have reordered at the 313.69 price. So I'm sitting here wondering what to do. so with the higher priced window or go with a cheaper window and not worry about the difference. I hope you can do something about this situation for me. It's hard to believe in 4 months the price can go up 77.00. I'll be waiting for your response before deciding what to do. The other three windows I am very happy with and know we made the right choice. I attached our first invoice and then the estimate from Menards.

Desired outcome: Hoping to replace and purchase a window for 313.69

Crestline Windows and Patio Doors Crestline center hinge patio door

Installed in 2014 to replace water damaged (part of claim due to winter ice and snow) patio door. Menards special order through our Restoration Company. Purchased to match other Crestline patio door in room. Interior wood trimmed. Exterior aluminum. Winter 2020/2021 - Both windows in the door have fog leaks! It looks terrible. On the interior of the door: WS IGCC(R)/IGMA(R) P140527000251015 14804 1-4
Hope to hear something from Crestline! Menards said the best warrantee Crestline has on anything is 5 years!

Desired outcome: Replace, or give us credit toward new door. Fix it if at all possible

Crestline Windows and Patio Doors 4 ft x 6 ft casement wood windows

The wood on the windows are warped and not closing properly and the hardware doesn't work either. These were lifetime warranty windows when we purchased from Crestline on Bridge St in Wausau Wi. How do I go about getting these warrantied. The Crestline on Bridge St is no longer opened and they had all our info there as we had to replace a center pane window already.

Thank you
Debra L Jaeger

Crestline Windows and Patio Doors Casement Window (Crank Out) M130225000141805 4971 1-25

We bought our house in 2013 and it came with 2 brand new Crestline windows. Three weeks ago one of the sashes completely fell off of my house. There was a catastrophic failure of the mechanisms and window frame. After contacting Crestline, their customer service rep (Angel) has determined that all we need is new mechanisms. With no regard for the reason they failed their response is to put the same product back in the window, leaving me with chance it will happen again. Instead of sending a professional out and keeping an customer satisfied, this company is more concerned with the bottom line. I have zero confidence in the windows and now have to buy two windows to replace brand new windows. The pictures will not upload to this site. Pictures available upon request.

Crestline Windows and Patio Doors Streaks between panes / seal issue

I sent an email to the consumer services department on 8/24/09. Got immediate automatic "got your email" response from the department saying I would be contacted. Not a word since. Called several times to obtain a mailing address to send my complaint to. No such luck. Was on hold for over 20 minutes, then decided to leave message and was disconnected. It took another 5 minutes before I was able to leave my message. That was 4 days ago...no response. I need someone to contact me either by phone or email...at this point, I simply want your mailing address...can't seem to find it on your website...I wonder why that is?

Just found out there was a major class action lawsuit that settled against crestline. Wish I would have been aware. My storm windows keep blowing out one by one. We have an AllAmerican Home. I tried to email them, but got no response.

My advice is "do not buy crestline windows" as they do not stand-by their supposedly lifetime warranty.

We'll see what Crestline does. I just had some purchased from Menards in Illinois. They came in and had additional loose packages, but those packages were not delivered with the windows. So I personally called the delivery truck driver and he said only the two windows were given to him. Called Menards and they hunted high and low. Miraculously they found my handles, but the screens and extension jambs were nowhere to be found. Called Crestline. They found them somewhere and shipped them to Menards, who then told me the extension jambs were labeled for someone else. So Crestline expedited jambs and Menards sent a guy on his way home from work to bring me the packages. So, install now delayed I had to set the day to well beyond our planned install last month. Unwrapped the windows and jambs to install them after demo on my old window, and found cracked pieces on upper left area of sashes. Missing button and jambs appear to be wrong size. Sashes were going in but discovered, as we put them in, that they were (a) not wide enough and (b) the clear stopper pieces were screwed on diagonally and, thereby, cracked. Didn't even trim the first window out nor put on the screens. Just left it on so we don't have a hold in our home now. Sent a service request to Crestline and waiting to see what action they take on that. If it all works out well, I will update. It it does not, I will seek legal assistance and redress in claims court. Researched company; they are not BBB affiliated.

I am having all the same problems that everyone on this site has been experiencing and have not found anybody that has had any luck getting the problems resolved. If anyone has found a path to getting any satisfaction please forward response and count me in on any class action that may be going on. All of my windows have issues and I am at my wits end as to how to get any answers.

DO NOT BUY CRESTLINE! THEY ARE JUNK AND A COMPANY THAT WONT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT! We ordered a bow window special order from Menards that was Crestline brand In 2011. Had them installed and now not even 5 years later we are having leakage and molding problems at bottom of window where it meets the vinyl. This is not a aging or wear problem, this is a manufacture problem. When I called Crestline they said it would cost $260 to send someone out and that it's not warrantied as it is a ware and weather problem. I argued that we don't open the windows and the sun doesn't even hit them. They instead said they can not do anything as they are 5 years old and that we need to cap bead them. They emailed cap bead instructions to us on how to silicone them. This is a joke. DO NOT BUY CRESTLINE! THEY ARE JUNK AND A COMPANY THAT WONT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT! Pretty sad if you buy a window and it doesn't last longer than 5 years. If their is a class action for this company please let me know as I am all in.

Had nothing but issues with Crestline windows since installed in 2003. 3 more with streaks inside the panes and replaced about 7 already. When I first contacted them, they admitted they had an issue with the gas seal on their windows and had changed their process. However, would only replace as they failed and now i'll only get 50% coverage on these windows. They were very cooperative with the first failures and always sent out within 2-3 weeks, as they are all custom size. Did not cover instalation of the new windows. Based on my overall experience, I would recommend not buying Crestline windows

Our home was built in 2003 with approximately 30 Crestline windows and 2 sliders in the house. Some of the widows are double or triple wide.
We have "dirt" and "streaking" between the pane in the majority of windows.
My attempts to contact Crestline is nothing more than an exercise in futility. Apparently, there is NO contact information available. If anyone has a
suggestion PLEASE post it.
