Cracker Barrel review: Rude staff

My young daughter and I went into this Cracker Barrel looking for some holiday decorations. We love to get ready for the holiday seasons, and your stores have some of the most beautiful and unique decor. While we were there, we were followed through the store by three employees who were positioned in different parts of the area we were shopping in. We were not doing anything rude or destructive, nor were we dressed in any way that would assume we were going to try to shoplift, so I was a little take back by what was happening. I have worked in the service industry for many years, so I am aware of what is being looked for in those instances.
Once we made our selections, we were on our way to the counter, when my daughte saw some halloween M&M's that she loves. She got a bag and we went to the counter to pay. When we got up there, the lady behind the counter told us the candy was on special, two for $2, or something like that. She asked if we would like to get another bag, and I said that would be fine. When she rang them up, she realized they were not on special and asked for the manager to approve the transaction because she had made a mistake. The manager came up and the lady explained that she had told us to get the second bag of candies because they were on sale, so it needed to be honored. The manager proceeded to take the candies from the cashier and told me that he would not honor the the special and I could get one bag at regular price or none at all. He then kept the candies and we were not allowed to purchase them.
I feel like the entire experience, from the time we walked in to the time we left, was uncalled for. We were embarrassed and this staff at this store needs to be taught that this is not the way to treat customers. I have family that works for your DC, and we have been customers for as long as I can remember. I have not ever been that embarrassed in one of your stores in my life.
