Wu Yi Source is a RIP OFF - do not go anywhere near them!
Staying Fat forever is better than these scammers ripping you off.
I went for the trial - which arrived the day after the trail period when I could cancel - they continued to take two unauthorised full payments until I cancelled and even then I was still seeing unidentifiable small amounts coming out - My bank's fraud dept told me to cancel the card as if it was stolen.
I asked Wu-Yi SOurce to send me confirmation that they had destroyed my credit card details and had not handed my cc details on to anyone else. (STILL WAITING)
Another thing - I use stock photography in my job and noticed that their 'team" at the bottom of this page under About Us http://www.wu-yisource.com/ is the same crowd as this stock photo here... http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-8514241-business-team-in-an-office-with-a-businesswoman-leading.html
Look who has added their head!
Before you even consider a cup of second rate tea will work RUN! The only weight you will lose from this tea is from your pockets.
Even if you Google WuYi Tea Scam there is a paid add at the top supposedly by a woman who was scammed by other wu yi suppliers and then found the Wu Yi Source worked and was wonderful - So they are even spending Google Ad money for reputation management using SCAM as the keyword.
Start walking every day, drop the sugar carbs all for FREE!
I hope they get caught real soon - where are the laws that govern these scams?

Call your credit card provider. They will dispute transactions no older than 120 days, cancel your card, and provide you with a new one.

I have just seen my bank statement, and have been charged a huge amount of money for tea that I did not order! I had a free trial pack, and now am paying for a product that I do not want, and conveniently have not recieved! How do we put a stop to this? And how can we make people aware? It is robbery!
Anyone with an answer? please!

My advice to everyone taken in by this scheme is to change your charge card number so these scam companies can't put more charges to your account. That's what I just did. I've been "round and round" with three companies today (which was surprising as I'd only purchased acai samples from two) and cancelled accounts I did NOT know I'd signed up for... and am getting refunds. The only ones they won't refund are the ones they charged right after I requested the "SAMPLE"...and that was the first billing for which I never received the product. From what I've read in this blog, that is typical of those companies... they charge your card that first month but don't send a product. That way they think you can't protest when they send the product and bill you the second month. They think. Two companies even told me the USPS verified that the first product had been delivered to my address. I never got it... only the one that was in my mailbox this morning. I contacted my credit card company and they're sending paperwork for me to protest the original charges. I'm also filing a report with my local police department and with the better business bureau.

WARNING - Please be aware the only thing you are likely to loose with this Company is your money. Free trial is non existant - you fill out the form, pay on your credit card the post & package which you are told is about £4.00 and it comes up about £44.00 ! this is not free and it certainly isnt the Post & Packaging, but its too late youve paid it by then and they just keep taking. I did receive the tea but it was absolutely disgusting! I emailed them to say please dont send me anymore and NOT to take anymore payments from my card. Received a letter from my CC company telling me that I was overdrawn and it turns out they have taken a further 2 x payments of £44.00 each time! The CC company said we could NOT cancel the DD set up with them - even after explaining the situation, they still said no, they cant cancel it and that the rip off company are the only people that can cancel it! for heaven sake what is wrong with these people, dont they understand that this company is stealing from me? Anyway found a way to stop the payments - report your card lost and they will cancel your card and reissue with another one and a different number and no more payments will go through! whilst on the phone they told me that the company had tried to steal a further £44.00 pounds but as the account was in arrears again due to them they declined their request.
Please DO NOT sign up with this comany they are a BIG RIP OFF - PLEASE DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM.

Yes. I got ripped off, too. So much for the "free trial order", just $4.95 shipping -- that's where they get your credit card info. Even if you don't finish the transaction when you discover your account will be charged $59.95 in two weeks, you will then get a call from a telemarketer to "complete your transaction." I never said "yes", but I got the tea and the charge. There was no contact number or address. The contact number given the credit card company for challenging the fee is just a recording.

What I finally did was go onto the wu-yi source website and there is a live chat feature there. You must follow their instructions exactly. (I did a right-click "select all", ctrl-c, and pasted the conversation into Microsoft Word so I had a copy of the conversation). Put the RMU number they give you on the package and pay for a delivery confirmation. Once they have received the delivery, you use the live chat feature again and they will refund you your money. Ask for a cancelation number for your "membership" and keep the number for future reference. Hope this helps.

What a rip off. I ordered around Christmas and received my 14 day trial on Dec 31rst. I don't remember seeing any monthly auto shipping for this product or I would not have ordered it. When I got my second bromolite I checked into it and sure enough on my credit card I had a charge on Jan16th for this program. I also had another charge on Feb4th for product I haven't received. The company would credited me for Feb4th but not for Jan16th. Even though I have not opened the bottle. Their trial period and billing states the trial is one hundred percent risk free because for any reason you decide Bromolite is not for you simply call and we will quickly assist you with canceling your auto ship program as well as help you with a refund. I've e-mailed my credit card with my complaint and they will let me know in 7-10 days. Is there anything else I can do. Denise MIller mrafe@bellsouth.net

FTC Busts 'Free' Sample Scams
Weight-loss supplement makers settle deceptive marketing claims

February 11, 2009
Makers of dietary supplements that lured consumers on the Internet with allegedly deceptive weight-loss claims and bogus "free" sample offers, and then debited their bank accounts or charged their credit cards for continuing shipments without their consent, have agreed to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that they violated federal law.

• Debiting or charging accounts of consumers who cancelled or tried to cancel, or those who were not adequately informed of the negative option features or terms and conditions, and therefore did not provide express informed consent for the debits or charges.

They also were charged with violating the Electronic Fund Transfer Act and Regulation E by debiting consumers' accounts on a recurring basis without obtaining the required written authorization.

I am as well requesting for a full refund of my money, including the $6.19 they charged me for S&H, because it was all a scam!

I had exactly the same problem. I ordered the free trial for 4.95 (6.19 CAD)for S&H. later I was charged on my visa $ 77.22.when I called them to clarify, I was told that this amount is the cost of the free trial! Thank God, I still hadn't opened the trial package, so I asked if I can return it in this case. and I traveled 120 km to return it. Still they didn't refund my money on my visa.
Today I'm checking my visa statement to see if they've refunded me the money, and in stead I see additional fees charged to my visa of $12.61 at the same date I returned their product, and it says "membership" and there is earlier charge of web access by wu yi of $6.16.

I don't know what to do to stop them of continuing to ripping my visa out. I don't know how much more $$ I have to pay for their free trial that I have returned

I recently had my credit card number stollen. Someone used it to purchase several items in Great Brittain and in Germany. I recently moved to a state across the country and what did I receive from the mailman - a charge of $5.94 for this package that had been forwarded. I would have refused it at delivery but my teenagers were home and they paid the postage due. Now I never never placed an order for this tea but the people who have my credit card info did. I dont want this product - I didnt order this product - I need to know how to get rid of it. I have not opened the package either. I guess I should return to sender. But I will get stuck with more postage to pay.

On November 20, 2008 at 10:08 AM I placed an order on my VISA card for free trial 30-day supply of Wu-Yi Tea (60 tea bags) at a total of $4.95 order number 4203980. I have never placed any other order for shipment, however, I am seeing a charge of $77.22 on December 12, 2008 from WUYI TEA [protected].

I tried calling the number listed for cancellation but got a message that the service is not available to me. Additionally, I have searched the webpage for contact info but to no avail.

I am requesting a full refund of my money

Thank you,
Mark Thomas

BE WARNED!
The Wu-Yi product is simply oolong tea and it is not worth more than the local cost of such product.
My real complaint is with the company's disreputable way of promoting an offer that has hidden flow on such as money being charged within the free trial period.
DONOT fall for this highly questionable method of doing business. They are after your money and they hide behind the anonimity of an internet offer with no real contactable address or phone number.
Their offer is FREE? but you are chareged $37.00 (au) dollars for delivery. Then twice my account was deducted for once $88.-- (au) and just three weeks later another amount this time $99.00 (au). This is going to stop right now even if I have to close mybank account.
I have returned the goods and will demand my money back. I won't hold my breath though.

Once more BE WARNED, DONOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM !

I also was taken in by this scam! I ordered a 30 day free trial that I agreed to pay shipping & handling. You have 14 days to try the product before they automatically send you and bill you $67.09 on your credit card. It took 27 days to receive it (so I was hooped from the start). I received my credit card statement and found a charge on it, I hadn't received a 2nd batch of the product. I called the toll free number immediately and explained what had happened, she agreed to debit my account and I could keep the second batch (I had offered to return it whenever I received it). I also had her cancel my account. My next credit card statement had a debit on it - not for the full amount as I live in Canada and there had been a dollar exchange on it... BUT there was another charge for $67.09 as well. I tried calling them immediately and was put on hold long enough that my cordless phone went dead, I called again and had a 2nd phone go dead. There was a message that if their lines were busy to go through a web address that they gave over the phone line. The website didn't work... I then contacted my credit card company, she indicated that she got at least 10 calls a day (that was just her!). She said that I should return any product that I had and give her a call in 30 days so she could check to see that my account had been cleared up.

I managed to get through to them on the phone again this morning - customer service was extremely rude and said that there never was a 30 day free trial and they wouldn't refund any money...

I am old enough to know better! I may have to cancel my credit card and get a new one.
