Ulta Beautyout of stock

I placed an order online for Black Friday, it went through and I received an email confirming my order. Several days later, I receive an email stating the the item is out of stock. I called Ulta because it is completely unfair as I could have bought the item elsewhere with similar deals if I knew I wouldn't be receiving my item. Customer service reps and their supervisor admitted the fault was on their end due to having website issues. However, they stated there was nothing they could do. They refused to send me the item at the given price once it is in stock and they refused to provide me with a gift card for the price of the item so I could go buy it myself. This is completely unacceptable. I understand items go out of stock, but then I should not have been allowed to order the product. Ulta refused to provide a resolution aside from telling me to purchase the product at full price.
