Torres Credit Services Morgan silver dollar

This company has been sending me a bill for a morgan silver dollar since 2018, they say I have not paid them the 49.95 for the coin. I have receipts for three times I paid for this same coin 1903 silver dollar. And now they charged 100.00 to my pay pal credit card. I do not know how they have my card number I did not give it to them. The company I received the coin frm is bradford exchange. I still order from them and know they will not send me another coin until the last one is paid. I know I have paid this two years ago. I want them off my back and want my money returned.

Torres Credit Services Bogus debt collection

Received a notice of debt collection purportedly for an unpaid debt from Commonwealth Edison in the amount of $93 for an account number which is not mine.

Have never missed paying a bill from this provider. Will be disputing.

ComEd says that the account no. is not one of theirs and I owe them nothing.

This is attempted extortion and needs to be stopped!

From reading other complaints, it appears that Torres Credit Services has been in the extortion business for quite some time. I will be looking into filing a lawsuit for ruination of my credit report and for the time it takes me to fight this.

Torres Credit Services This company has no morals

I just moved back to the US after 11 years of working in the UK to find that there was an open amount against my name. I called the company to dispute the credit report, stating that I could prove that I have not lived here by providing UK paychecks.

I was told that it didn't matter, and although this is the first they have spoken with me or made contact that the record would remain open on my credit report until paid. And that after it is paid, that they still would not remove it - only show it closed.

Since good credit rating is important to me and the bill is small, I paid it - however the way this was handled was morally wrong. They should agree to remove the report..

Torres Credit Services False collection against my credit score

I have above company checking with Equifax and TransUnion about a bill supposedly under their collection which is false. I have not used Green Mountain Energy for approximately 8 years and Torres said it was opened on Aug. 20, 2015. This company needs to be put out of business or fined a large sum for lying about peoples bills.

Torres Credit Services Dispute

I contacted Torres Credit Services in reference to a debt that was on my credit from 2004 in which I had filed Bankruptcy and the debt was included in the Chapter 13. I gave them the Reference information and my Attorney information. They never contacted her neither did they remove from my credit. Every week they are submitting to the Credit Bureaus and the Credit Bureaus are not checking to see if it is a legitimate entry or not.

Torres Credit Services false debt

I got a disturbing email from my Credit Keeper stating there was activity happening on my credit report so I checked it and there was Torres Credit Services stating that I owed a sum of $93.00. For what I do not know and for who I do not know either...This makes me very concerned about the activity that strangers are able to make with absolutely no recourse for the crdeit holder..I have been trying to get a hold of someone from the compant for days and have not been successful in the conquest. These people are hurting not only my credit report but others alike with these false aligations of debt...Something needs to be done so that consumers can feel safe and protected..

Torres Credit Services has been calling me regularly for the past 3 months. No one (or even a machine) is there when I answer the phone. Only by calling back the number on my caller ID have I found out that it is Torres Credit Services calling me. They claim to be looking for a particular woman, and when I inform them that they have a wrong number, they claim to take it off their call list. However, I have continued to get phone calls from them.

I also checked mine at credit karma and Torres shows on it for a 60.00 charge to Doubleday Book Club. I have not ordered anything from anyone since my divorce started back in 2010 but this shows as being owed since Dec. 13, 2012!
I will be sending out letters, and contacting people first thing in the morning. I am a single mother of 2 kids, and I have better things to spend my money on than lining the pockets of complete crooks! They will not get a dime of money from me, and if anyone wants to get together to start a class action law suite my email is regina.shively@yahoo.com I'll join in with you just to see these people out of business.

I just checked my credit report - via Credit Karma and saw Torres Credit for $296! I do not know where this is from or what it is for! I filed bankruptcy last year and I know for a fact this was not on my credit - anywhere! And I also know for a fact that I have not opened an account with ANYBODY nor have I ordered anything or owe anybody since my bankruptcy! I wonder how can companies just place negative information on your credit report without your knowledge. There should be some type of law against this! And if they think I am just going to buckle and pay them, they can think again! I agree with one of the previous complaints, that we should file Class Action Suit! They're probably hoping that people will just pay them and not question it, which is probably how they stay in business! CROOKS!

Torres Credit Services is a debt collector. Do as thisman says and send them a cease & desist letter via certified mail and return receipt requested. One they get the request in writing, they have to stop by law. You better check your credit reports too. This company has a reputation of placing bogus debts on the credit reports of the people they are calling. Dispute any bogus debt with the collections agencies. Most have an online dispute method. Also keep in mind that there is no law that says you must answer your phone when it rings. Use your caller ID to screen those calls. I say this because they don't care that they don't have the correct person. If they did, you wouldn't still be getting calls from them. Debt collectors have been known to find someone in the same area as the person they are looking for, with the same last name, for instance. They start calling THAT person, harassing THEM about a 'debt' the person has never heard of (sound familiar?) As long as the person keeps answering the phone, they will keep harassing the person in the hopes that the person will pay the 'debt' just to make them go away...It really does happen... and some people get so 'worn down' by this tactic that they DO end up paying a 'debt' that isn't even theirs, just to make these ### go away...You can choose NOT to be a victim. Know your rights! Research the federal laws that protect you! The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Go to www.naca.net where you can find attorneys in your are who specialize in dealing with ### like this. Most have a free consultation.

I also have a collections on my credit report from this Torres, claiming I have a bill from Columbia house for $100. I am currently disputing this as well. The # on my credit report has been disconnected. I researched the actual Columbia house website and the # is different then whats reported, so I called them and they said they have no record of my name as ordering from them at all.

Torres Credit Services Needs to be shut down by FTC

Torres Credit Services deserves to be shut down by the Federal Trade Commission for wrongly extorting consumers into paying debts they do not owe, and for extorting consumers that owed a debt when they were a minor(under 18 years of age.). They wrongly slapped $47 on my credit report which lowered my FICO score from 754 to 664, basically ruining my credit. I spoke with a representative named Barb who was the absolute most rude and unprofessional person I have ever spoke with on the phone. She tried to demand the money from me and she accused me of more-less running away from the debt that I supposedly owed. I never paid, instead I contacted all 3 major credit bureaus and you need to do the same.

Torres Credit Services doesn't list their phone # on the collection and credit bureaus are automatically obligated to remove any and all traces of the collection from your credit profile(s), whether you rightfully owe the debt or not, since credit bureaus do not have a way to contact the collection agency. Search on the internet about Torres Credit Services and you will find multiple complaints regarding the company.

If you have a bad experience with them too, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and with the Washington BBB office.
