Sparketts water made adjustments on my water bill (my water was increased by 3 times what it was originally) but they failed to notify me until after I received a months worth of water. When I called to find out what happened, they explained to me that when I first signed up with them they gave me a company discount and when I changed address etc. And started getting water at a new address a few months went by and they discovered their error. Without notification to me they made the adjustement and asked for past charges and current charges at the adjusted rate. The person I spoke with looked into it and said it was my responsiblitie to pay regardless. I told her that I wanted to cancel my service if it was not going to be the charge that I had in the past. I would pay what I owed on the past bill but to cancel service starting when they adjusted the bill. She said that she wanted to keep me as a customer and that they would honor my past charges and keep as is. She said I would she the adjustment on my next bill. As water was being delivered all month, my new bill came... Surprise the changes were made, but then reversed. I called again and they told me that the customer rep. Made a mistake by giving me the same rate and was told to have it reversed. Of course they have my number but did not call me to let me know this. I explained to them once again that I did not want to be a customer if I had to pay the higher charge and that they should had cancelled my account if they could not give me the earlier pricing. I had the go around for months with them to get some one to call me back to to help me, still no one was available or able to help me, I was told that the supervisor was not in. I called back and had the company come pick up 4 full bottles of water I did not use and the water cooler. I told them I will pay the month I owed on the old charges, but felt that the new charges they messed up on should be credited. I finanally got a supervisor on the phone, he said he would look into all my call history and my complaint and promised to call me back and email me the next day! Never happened. I just finanally gave up.. My original bill would had been about $50. 00 if they would had corrected it, but since then it has grown to $185.00. Now my account is in collections and I am being charged for equipment I returned, 4 full bottles of water I returned (which I received no credit for), late charges & fees.

They are also not deducting the return price for the empties ($ 6.00) each and after checking my invoice I noticed that there was a minus zero where it should have been a minus six dollars , this is the second time(that I've caught at least) and after calling and bringing this to their attention both times the first incident was corrected but the second incident remained so when I paid my bill I subtracted the six dollars and paid what was owed and that six dollar balance remained until my next bill and was added to it , imagine this being done to everyone they service those six dollars will add up

This is the most inappropriate company I have ever done business with. Billing is always a mess...our delivery guy is incapable.. comes to my business on the wrong day, and leaves water and coffee out side my business on a very busy street. Comes after hours...
I on the phone at this time September 1, 2017 at 5:07 pm and I have been on the phone for over an hour...
If you have a choice of water service don't choose SPARKLLTS...THere are so many other choices out there.

Never late for 5 years, and I miss 2 payments due to an email mixup and they sent to collections. I tried to correct this, but now they want $170 for the 5-year old cooler, and a collection fee of $120. Not the courtesy of even a single phone call before they sent to collections. I would have paid on the spot. That's the thanks I get for my customer loyalty. I don't do business with companies like this. DS Waters and Sparkletts need to learn some customer service.

All the above just happened to me and now to avoid getting bad credit I must pay for services not rendered. The worst company out there in my opinion. Plus all water is from a municipal source anyway. They are a scam. I can not believe that the better business bureau has not slapped them with tons of fines. Stay far away. You have been warned!

I have been through the same exact thing. Cancelled my Spitrkletts account in 2011 and my bill was paid in full. Then I started receiving collection calls in 2014. They (C.B.A) said I owed for a cooler and unpaid water service. I told them I never had a Sparkletts cooler (I had bought my own) so after several weeks of back and forth they removed the cooler charge but said I still owed over $400 for unpaid water. Thats a lot of water! I disputed the charges and they said to take it up with Sparkletts directly since the collection agency cant do anything about it.

I call Sparkletts and they say it has been to long and my records have been deleted. Now I am stuck in a loop and no one will help me. After researching on the web this happens to a lot of people. Sounds like a very big problem. I know I would be out of business if I conducted my company like this. If you choose sparkletts be aware you are going to get scammed at the end. Best just to stay a customer forever once you start. These people should be arrested. I have no unpaid bills anywhere in this world, why would i not pay this one. SHAME ON YOU SPARKLETTS!

My name is Tommy Kearney. I work for a class action lawfirm in downtown Los Angeles. Many consumers have been victims to these very same sparkletts business practices. If anyone is interested in participating in this case, contact me at ttomk40@gmail.com, or call me at Ringler Kearney Alvarez LLP, at [protected]. I hope to hear from you.

Fortunately we did not sign a long term contract with Sparkletts. From day one, when the driver came to deliver the first delivery of the water and the cooler, he did not ring the doorbell event hough we were home and just left all the bottles and the cooler in our front yard. He left a sticky note marked "no one home to accept delivery" even though our front door was open! (Our screen door was shut, but clearly someone was home.)

Then on subsequent deliveries, the driver NEVER showed up on the right day and NEVER rang the door bell. I work at home so I am at home all day. So we never had the chance to give him the empty bottles. On the day he was supposed to come, we left them out, but then he never showed. Then he would show up on another random day and leave the water in our front yard.

Of course, the driver left the wrong amount and type of water, but again, we had no chance to talk to him about it. We called customer service at least once a week to get this straightened out, but nothing ever changed.

We also noticed lot of billing errors and overcharges which forced us to call customer service about every single bill. WATCH YOUR BILL! They had all sorts of over charges, charges for products we did not get, etc.

Then when we canceled, they still did not show up on the day they were supposed to. I was also very specifically told that any water that was sealed could be returned for a refund. So we stopped drinking the water knowing that they were coming to pick everything up.

Now our final bill comes and there is an agreement termination fee, but we did NOT have a contract. And there was no refund for the sealed bottles we returned. When I called, they did agree to refund the termination fee since they could not find the contract. (Because there was none!) But they told us that any water that is delivered cannot be resold and therefore cannot be refunded. Of course that directly contradicts what I was told when I canceled or contract.

They aren't even smart enough to just refund me for the unused water to keep me happy. How much does it cost them to eat teh cost of 10 gallons of water? They would rather I get on the internet and post all the details of my experience.

Well I hope you have better luck than I did with Sparkletts and whatever you do, DON'T sign a contract with them!

DS Waters and Sparkletts are terrible companies. They are charging me for water & services never received, a cooler I returned over a year and a half ago and rental fees. I just got a collection notice in the mail for $280 after the rep said that I wouldn't...I've called them numerous times to plead my case, but to no avail. Please don't do business with this company at all costs, I had to learn my lesson the hard way. The sad part is that the delivery guy came to my door to sign me up, I stupidly did and then I never saw him again and just got a huge bill in the mail that is going to affect my credit. I'm a 23 year old college student and I recommend from the bottom of my heart to get a Brita water pitcher instead!

We Canceled in Nov. 2008 and they picked up everything and still continued to charge us. Then when we would call to correct the issue we were told they would credit the account and it never happend. Finally in Feb. 2009 i was told all we owed was 35 for the cancelation fee and after paying it we received another bill stating we still owe more money. Finally calling for the 4th time to resolve it and being on the phone for 45min with them going over every bill it was figured that they actually owed us $1.20. Most of the representatives were not helpful at all and did not do what they told us would be done. The service with our pick up was awful. They kept trying to deliver to us after we canceled and then would charge us. They did not pick up when they were scheduled to. They didn't keep a record of when they picked up our cooler and tried to charge us for it. It seems like no one in there customer service knows how do do their job. A customer only means money to this company and will not provide any help or understanding to there customers.

The biggest problem Sparklets has is a woman named Pam that handles accounts. I've found the customer service from the delivery people great and considerate. Unfortunately Pam has caused many problems with Sparklets and cost them customers. If anything, Supervisors need to rectify the problems this woman causes.

Sparkletts sales people are nothing but scam artists. They will lie to you to about specifics just to have you open accounts with them. Be aware and do your own research. The company does not care for their customers about such issues.
