Expedia travel insurance

I broke my leg in Greece in August 2015 while under Expedia's travel insurance. My return expenses and arrangements were well handled.

But the medical expenses were over $16, 000. but AON paid zero.
Moreover, even after 6 months and 6 insistent requests for a detailed "Explanation of Benefits" they have totally refused to provide one.

The AON company appears to be totally SLEAZEBALL.

Expedia car hire refund

I book car in on the Expedia website for car hire in Menorca. The car hire company was OK Cars. I paid Expedia £114.23 for one weeks car hire.
We arrived at Mahon airport on 24th June 2017. We waited approx. 1 hour for the shuttle bus to take us to the car hire office in the middle of nowhere.
We were met with a queue of about 100 people waiting to pick up their cars.
We were given no information by OK cars only that we had to take a ticket with a number on to wait for our turn. We had no. 86, the people then being served was 38. We queued for another 2 hours with no information on how long it would take. The staff were very rude and unhelpful. We decided to phone Expedia Customer support and cancel our car hire. We were informed it had been cancelled and we would get a refund.
To date I have made approx. 7 phone calls chasing my refund each time being told it was still being dealt with. Also saying I should phone the car hire company my self. My contract was with Expedia not the car hire company.
I will never use expedia again after this experience, I am so frustrated its taken so much of my time and still have had no refund.

Expedia disgusting customer service

I booked tickets via Expedia in February, for my trip from SLC-CCU on 29th November 2017. The first leg of the trip was with Alaska Airlines. In May, they rescheduled their flight. I was asked by Expedia to cancel my booking and take the refund. I asked for a change in the booking of the first leg instead. It took them 7 full days and numerous phone calls (with the assurance of solution in 48 hrs, every time) to finally book me on a Delta Airlines flight.

Cut to July, Singapore Airlines (my major carrier) reschedules couple of flighta and I end up with a possible misconnection. Again, I am assured of resolving the issue in 48 hours. It has been three days, and every time I call, "We will send a mail to Singapore Airlines for a waiver code to book you on a different flight" is the response. I still do not have a confirmed reservation and they do not have a clear answer either.

Expedia wrong information which lead to wrong choices

I'm having a problem with a reservation that I just did with Expedia.

When I was searching, I picked Free airport transportation and Free breakfast, so that why I choose Intercontinental Miami Doral, but, after I paid, the itinerary says that the hotel will charge me for breakfast, wifi, everything!

I think that it's a mistake of Expedia search filters, but it's not fair that I'll pay for their mistakes!

I'm complaining specifically about the free breakfast, I read the detail of the room I bought, Deluxe Room, 2 Double Beds, it says Breakfast included, and Free cancelation until Thu Aug 15, as seen in the screenshot, so, I think that, because of the room I choose, the breakfast is included, and I'll get Free Parking as well as Free Cancellation (until Tue, Aug 15)

Anyway, it's not clear which services I'll get there, the ones in the room detail? or the ones in the Itinerary downloaded from the Expedia site, it's confusing!

I've contacted the hotel directly, and they confirmed that breakfast isn't included

I'm sorry but clearly, this is Expedia mistake, the information on their website is not clear, I would choose a different hotel, their website has wrong information, because breakfast isn't included, and their website says that is included, how can they compensate me? I would choose another hotel if this information were right...

Expedia published wrong information which leads me to make a wrong choice!

They offered me a $ 50 coupon, but, I think $50 doesn't cover 5 days of breakfast for 3 people, one breakfast is $ 18 so it will be +/- $ 270, it's important to remember that Expedia website is showing wrong information which leads to wrong choices, I think a $ 50 it's too little.

Expedia attempts to "overcharge" - increase prices after details of contract had been agreed and permission sought and given to confirm booking.

Dear Sirs,

I will be seeking legal advice to see if UK / Scottish contract laws have been broken.

My first experience with Expedia has left me with the firm belief you are a sly and untrustworthy company.

11.30 - 11.45p.m. 17th July 2017 _ I had trouble due to a confirmation not going through when booking a hotel in Harrogate, England and being asked to resubmit my credit card details. In order to prevent the possibility of a double transaction I called your help line number and spoke with Faif (male) in Bangalore India.
Overcoming what I interpreted as attempts to give lesser value i.e. no breakfasts for the same cost and then quoting a different, higher price to the one I was looking at, he eventually agreed the terms of the "contract" and price was exactly as the screen view I was looking at. Faif then confirmed all the details - I agreed they were the details of the proposed purchase - Faif asked me for permission to make the booking - I gave the permission and then Faif came back and said the price had increased - this after we had agreed the contract !

I do not submit to such underhand sales methods so I refused to continue and it was left that Faif confirmed no transaction had been made on my credit card, the details of which I had given to him.

Today, I checked with my bank who stated permission for the card was given at that time but with no transaction amount - was this to allow Faif to fill in a higher amount once he had extracted an increased amount.

I will never use Expedia again and will find out why Trip Advisor linked me, without asking, to Expedia.

I also subscribe to the legal advice service from which? our UK consumer champions to find out if UK contract laws were broken as the price change occurred after contract terms were clearly specified and agreed - then changed.

Expedia price match guarantee

I contacted ExpediaForTD regarding a flight that they were showing that was $50 more than the airline website. When I questioned this they replied:

"Kindly be informed that We’re so confident you’ll find the best price for your trip on ExpediaForTD that we guarantee it! Find a cheaper identical trip within 24 hours of booking and we’ll refund the difference – and give you an ExpediaForTD travel coupon worth $50.

To take advantage of the Best Price Guarantee, you must submit a claim online within twenty-four (24) hours of your ExpediaForTD booking. The claim will be verified by our customer service representatives, and you will be contacted with respect to the validity of your claim within 72 hours.

I went to this link and tried to add a screen print of the actual website but it was too large to attach to their file, so I sent an email right away with the screen print. They did not reply for several months and I had to keep emailing them. Four months later they emailed me that my request was denied because it was not in the 72 hour time frame. I emailed them back that it was actually less than an hour between the booking and the email. This was in February and I am still trying to get my $50

Expedia not notifying me of a problem with credit card until the day of travelling

I booked hotel in berlin ibis styles on line on 17 march 2017.in the email from expedia it states "your reservation is confirmed. No need to call to reconfirm. I thought this was confirmed in the easy requesting what time to arrive at hotel my option was I do not know.

Ibis confirmed the reservation 45990.

On the day of travelling in the morning I received an email saying my credit card was not valid. I had no way of responding to that email, our plane was delayed by 3 hours, I could not contact the hotel.

When we got to the hotel, they said our rooms were booked out, this left us stranded in berlin. The receptionist at the hotel did not care about our situation and said twice"what do you want me to do about it"?

I asked if there were any ibis hotels local with vacancies, she phoned and booked one for us. We had a taxi there, but it was too far out of the centre and the next day we moved to another hotel. My son phoned expedia the night we arrived and was on the phone for a long time spending all of his credit, we he did get through they said they would transfer him to an english call centre then he was cut off.

This was so annoying and we were very let down. Our holiday cost us over £200 more in hotels and taxis and worry and time spend in sorting accommodation out. Expedia only wanted the booking and the hotel did not even look for rooms on the other nights we booked.

Terrible service.

Also the email sent from expedia looked like a spam. It had misspellings, bad grammar and it said please email your credit card number, which I would never do. It also referred to me as shirley which companies do not usually do.

Expedia incorrect information given

To Whom It May Concern,

I booked a hotel reservation for a trip to Boston and Expedia charged me more money than the website had advertised the hotel as. I called Expedia and they recognized that they made an error and provided me a $200 credit toward a future hotel or vacation package I book through Expedia to compensate for their mistake. I was not refunded the excess money Expedia charged me for the hotel reservation, but I was ok with this as I was provided the $200 voucher to use for future travel. I was told this could be used toward any future hotel or vacation package I book.

On Wednesday July 12 I decided to book a vacation package from Boston to Fort Lauderdale. We are traveling with another couple who already booked their flight and hotel, so I decided to use my voucher to book the same itinerary as our friends. When I tried to apply the coupon I was not able to, so I called Customer Service for assistance. My initial call was made at 11:03 PM. I was on the phone for one hour and 26 minutes before being disconnected by Expedia (I took a screenshot of the call information as I could not believe how long it took for the Service Department to assist me). Fortunately Expedia called me back after disconnecting the call, and I was on the phone for an additional 51 minutes (again I took a screenshot), before I was told by the supervisor I was speaking with that she was unable to book to vacation package. When I asked why she told me that you could not book a vacation package that included a Spirit Airlines flight using a coupon or voucher. I was floored as I was told the $200 voucher provided to me as compensation for being overcharged by Expedia could be used toward ANY future hotel or vacation package I booked. I was not informed that there were any stipulations or extenuating circumstances that applied to this voucher.

I spent nearly 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Expedia's Customer Service Department, spoke with four different people all the way up through Management level, and no one was familiar with this rule regarding Spirit Airlines flights. I wasted my entire evening on the phone with Expedia only to not be able to book my flight and not be able to apply the $200 voucher credited to me due to an Expedia mistake.

I am more than happy to discuss this on the phone if someone is willing to call me.

Expedia slaley hall hotel, hexham great britain

I made a reservations via the internet for the above hotel in Great Britain. I selected the option of having it paid for by the people when they checked in. It was for my daughter and her husband. They went and they were charged about $20 to $30 more than the quoted price BUT my credit card was charged, I NEVER AUTHRIZED THEM TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD. They did have my credit card info because they asked for it when I made the reservation online but I clearly selected the option that the hotel would be paid for by the people who stay in the hotel room that night (my daughter and her husband). I was cheated.

Expedia price guarantee

I booked the flights for my parents on Expedia for TD website on Jun 23, 2017. I booked the same flights for myself in another website at the same day with lower price. Per the below price guarantee policy in their website, I submitted the claim at the same day on Jun 23, 2017, and received the auto reply from their customer support team. They have created 2 case ID, one for my dad, one for my mom. I received the response for my dad's case ID: [protected] and been told that this is not eligible to participate in the program as it is not 'apple to apple', I replied to them on Jun 28, 2017 with all detailed information as the carrier, product, date/time, flight numbers are all the same. So far, no response from them. For my mom's case ID: [protected] (they created on Jun 23, 2017 and promised to notify me by email within 72 hours), I have not received any updates as of today.
Their policy: We’re so confident you’ll find the best price for your trip on Expedia For TD that we guarantee it! Find a cheaper identical trip within 24 hours of booking and we’ll refund the difference - and give you an Expedia For TD future travel credit worth $50.

Expedia we were charged for rooms we did not reserve through expedia

We were calling the 800 no for super 8-- we called the 800 no online saying super 8-- the sales rep booked us with the st. Charles rock super 8-- took our cred cd-- we called that super 8 to make sure of the rooms to find out only 1 bed was avail- we needed 3 beds--for 2 rooms-- we cancelled those rooms and told the agent on the phone we needed a cancel no-- he told us he could not and would book us in the airport inn -- we did not want to stay there - it was not a super 8-- we got 3 chs on our cred cd totaling approx $172-- we called these motels- the airport inn would not refund it so have disputed on our card. Come to find out we were not talking to super 8 but to expedia- they would not refund us-- we have proof we stayed in another motel in fenton mo. Lynda lynn

Expedia return flights tel-aviv to new york via rome

Formal complaint regarding lengthy delays and poor customer service – Alitalia flight

My name is Eran Bineth. My family and I (3 members all together, one of which is a 3 year old baby) have traveled with Alitalia to New York via Rome and back. I must state that I have never encountered such a poorly planned, executed and inhumane return trip – and hereby submit my detailed complaint.
1. The July 7th AZ 603 flight was scheduled to leave at 18:05. We arrived to the airport 3 hours before flight, waited on queue for over an hour just to learn that the flight is delayed to 21:30, and further again to 22:30. We were finally admitted and re-assigned new transit tickets – AZ 803 flight from Rome to Tel-Aviv (scheduled to leave at 14:35) instead of the original AZ 806 flight (scheduled to leave at 09:30)
2. Nobody has informed us of the delayed flight even though staff was aware of it more than 3 hours before take-off. Furthermore, the aircraft stayed on track on its passengers for another two hours before taking off, amounting the delay to over 6 hours!
3. The flight finally landed July 7th 13:55 Rome time. Due to the later arrival, we hurried to our gate to catch the AZ 803 flight, arriving just before final boarding and witnessing more than 10 passengers boarding the flight, while we were refused! We later learned that our seating assignments were resold, and while 11 seats were still unassigned in the aircraft, we were denied boarding and referred to transit gate.
4. At transit gate we were offered the AZ 814 22:30 flight to Tel-Aviv, which implied 13:30 hours after the scheduled flight and 08:30 hours waiting time in the airport. Nobody was open to hear about the waiting time we have endured in NY or care that we are traveling with a baby that could not endure this additional delay, and thus we were refused a hotel or even a lounge (I am a Sky-team member), despite the strict IATA customer service regulations. The staff was rude and also not willing to assign us to the Arkia IZ 5390 17:55 flight from Rome to Tel-Aviv !
5. The flight was further delayed and left only around 23:10, amounting a total late arriving of 13:40 hours and overall waiting time in airports of 14:30 hours!
In light of the poor service and the extremely long delay, I believe your response and the maximum compensation defined by airline regulations is in order.

Expedia price matching guarantee

I booked a trip on Expedia, a few hours later Expedia showed the exact same trip $200 lower. I applied to get the difference using Expedias Price Matching link.
It was rejected as follows, "Thank you for contacting Expedia regarding a Price Guarantee claim on itinerary . Our records show that you booked your package reservation on June 14, 2017 and you submitted your claim on the same day We are unable to process your price match request since you did not submit your claim within 24 hours of booking."

I found the lower price within only a few hours and reported it shortly thereafter!
If I have to report it within 24 hours, reporting it on the same day is certainly within that time frame.

Requests to Expedia to review their rejection have gone unanswered.

Expedia riu palace bavaro punta cana

I booked a 7 days stay for 4. When we arrived we were placed in a room that had strong mold smell. I went back to the front desk and requested to be tranfered to a different hotel. They offer me another room which I asked to see before acept. The first room was 0136 and the second, and without mold smell, was 3085. I decide to stay. Second day saw a croakroach, third day I kill 6 and went back to complain. The front desk send staff to put a roach speay what forced us to stay out of the room for purs because we two small children and a senior. Roachs still shieing up.
My 68 years old mom started with stomach cramps snd diarrhea on 3rd night, mine started on the next night. We had just arrived back in US and my 5 years old had same symptoms.
Rooms didn't have robs, pool towels were ofter stained. The specialty restaurants, beside the Japanese one, were way under a 5 star hotel. The main restaurant only have a few decent food choices, with a lot of low quality food. Desert were plenty but most has no taste or a sout taste.

We didn't leave the resort. I never seen anyone vleaning the pools. The animation underdeliver during the day compared to other Caribean resort I gsbe stay. Last day the beach was with at least 50 feet of continous seaweed that was only cleaned the next day, knowing it has been a problem the resort should be prepared to clean right away. Last it was first All inclusive beavh resort that did not have becah service for refreshemnts and light snacks at the beach.

Very disappointed in my first stay at a RiU hotel, worried with our health and hopping we didn't get anything worst than diarrhea.

Expedia cancelled flight

I have booked a flight itinerary number [protected] on May 20 and cancelled the flight on May 21st. I was supposed to receive a total refund of my tickets as the cancellation was during 24 hours. The airline has refunded my money but Expedite charged me almost $150 that never came back. I have sent emails many times and each time they would say that the money should be refunded but that never happened.

Expedia wont give money back after hotel cancelled reservation

I reserved a reservation at a Super 8 motel in Wichita, Kansas for 2 nights and paid for it through expedia.com. However, when I went to the place to check in they then told me they required a $50 deposit on a credit card that would be refunded upon check out. Not having the money to do this I told the front desk person that I would have to go get it and would be back. Finally after spending a few hours finding the money I returned to the hotel to find out they had cancelled due to taking to long to return and check in. I then called expedia who informed me it was a non refundable booking and would not help me. So the hotel gets to keep the $90 for the 2 night stay that I didn't get and had no say it the cancelation.

Expedia hotel booked with hotels.com/expedia

On Sunday 4th of June 2017 around 10am we (me and my partner) went down to Alpine Motel in Cooke City to inform the manager that we would arrive at the motel around midnight, and to ask if we could already make an early check-in. She assured us that we would be able to enter our room with a key deposited in an envelope in the post box.
When we arrived that night, we found no key in the post box (I have a picture of the empty box as proof). No one was there at the reception. We had to look for almost an hour to find a place to sleep since most motels and hotels were already closed by that time. This was most inconvenient. We eventually found a motel nearby where we could stay after we woke up the receptionist.
The day after, I went complaining at Alpine Motel, demanding the reimbursement of our booking and the payment of our room in the other motel. The first employee explained that I had to contact the online agency to authorize the restitution. Subsequently, the manager appeared and paid for the room in the other motel. She also promised to take care of the restitution of the booking ([protected]).
Given the previous examples of erratic management, I have sent this email to make sure that she delivers on this promise and I hope that I can hereby help to authorize the reimbursement of the prepaid 115€.

Expedia unauthorized credit card charge

I was billed for a reservation booking for which I never received confirmation. I was billed by the Best Western in Silicon Valley located in Sunnyvale, CA for a night on June 16th/2017.

I received an email on the 15th of june regarding this reservation, itinerary # [protected], that I never made. My trip began on the 13th of june so I was not able to see this email on the 15th of june.

When was this reservation booked? Why did I never receive a confirmation email of this reservation? If I would have received a confirmation I would have been aware of this reservation.

I request a refund for this error.

Expedia ticket price/very poor customer service

I bought a multi-destination ticket on Expedia, and I wanted to change some of the dates. They insisted that they weren't charging me anything that Air Canada wasn't charging, but in order to change the dates, the ticket price went up by about $600. I thought, well, then I will just cancel part of the itinerary, and was told then that I would need to 'reprice' the ticket for that day. They did so and once again, with that one ticket now GONE... not buying a new ticket on a different day, but literally cancelling one ticket, the price went up by... you guessed it, about $600. I called Air Canada to see if there was any way they would let me just forfeit the ticket without losing my entire itinerary -- they said no, but that I should be able to 'reprice' it today without that ticket and it was actually cheaper than when I originally bought it... cheaper by about $200, but they couldn't do it because it was bought through a travel agent. I called Expedia back and they once again said that it was $600, and that the person at Air Canada had basically lied to me (which... i actually spoke to two different people at Air Canada who gave me the same price). I asked to speak to a person above the person I was speaking with, and ... I have now been on hold for an hour. The music turned off. It went to beeping, and then silence and now the music is back. They are ignoring me.

Expedia i'm complaining about the horrible service

I brought a tickets from the Expedia and then I cancelled it!
And I asked for the refund on the date I was cancelling it and the service agent told me to wait for three months and
The agent also promised me that they had talked to the airline for the refund of the full amount...

After I waited for three months and I didn't receive any refund and when I called again to the Expedia and another agent told me that they didn't do the job and the previous agent lied to me!

Please help me with this!
