Dollar General register complaint//hours

First off, I am complaining about the registers here at the Dollar General in Grundy Center. Yesterday, the cash register was not working and froze. Hence, they closed the store for over an 1-1/2 hours. Get new registers. It is not the first time that this has happened. It occurs almost on a weekly basis. GET THEM REPLACED! You are loosing business big time! Especially at the busy times throughout the day.

My second complaint is the hours. You either need to change the hours on the website for Grundy Center Dollar General or post the hours appropriately at the store. The hours at the store says they close at nine, but of course most of us use our phone/computer to check the hours. It states 10 pm. Get the hours fixed.

Plus the employees close most times 5 minutes before nine, and won't let anyone in. NOT HAPPY. RUDE Employees too.

Dollar General rude employee

I visit you store (#15515) several times a week. I was there last night and an employee by the name of Shamus was very rude. His remarks to me at the register were uncalled for. I asked for cigarettes and he said, I'm not there yet. The way he said it was extremely rude. Not the first time I've had to deal with his attitude. At the counter another day, he burped basically right in my face; and said oh, excuse me, I just had lunch. His attitude really needs to be worked on. He needs more training in customer service and how to talk to people. There was a little kid up there one night and he didn't want to go to the register because Shamus was at the register and he didn't like him. This kid may have been 4. For a kid to not like someone, that speaks volumes. I am not a complainer, but enough is enough with this guy. Besides that, I love your store and the other employees there have always been very nice and very helpful.

Dollar General manager needs to stop flirting and do her job

Everytime to go into the DG in Rickman, TN the manager there is ALWAYS flirting with vendors or customers is it just sickening. I go shop with my children who do not need to see or hear half the stuff they have in that place. I have actually had to start shopping at one in another city because of this and so has many other people. She never wants to help anyone and she is very rude. This is a very small family oriented town where everyone knows everyone and this is not acceptable. She has had many complaints so I am not sure why she is still there. A few of the vendors for the DG has gotten in trouble with their employer because she hits on them and when they turn her down she gets revenge. She calls their place of employment and says they were flirting with her and she is uncomfortable with them coming back to her store. How in the world can we as customers get this taken care of?

Dollar General store

The store that is located in sylacauga Alabama on Broadway Avenue beside rite aid is nasty. You can not even walk through this store. I am very surprised there is not lawsuits because the floor is full of random stuff. Everytime I go to this store the manager melanie and assistant manager sandra are either outside smoking, on their cell phones, or standing propped up at the register.

Dollar General store manager

My son, a friend and i walked over to a dollar general store located at 1606 Atkinson Dr. Lufkin, TX store # 10812 and because I wasn't feeling well my son and i payed for our stuff and left. The store manager told my friend that my son and i are rude. I called over there to confront her about waiting till we left and talking to other customers about me. She told me to come to the store and confront her, i didn't. I said a few wrong words and so she hung up on me. She called another friend of mine, an of the clock employee, and told her that if my husband and i came back to the store she is to call the law. Well, that's my son...not my husband. And she's the so called store manager and talks bad about her customers after they leave the store. I normally shop there 5-6 days a week. So i know i help pay her bills and buy her groceries. And she gets rude and it's ok? She is no kind of store manager. I've worked in a management position and never treated anyone like that.

Dollar General rude employee

On 4/22/18 I walked to Dollar General. It was almost a hour walk. I needed feminine products for my teenage daughter. The shelves were such a mess. Nothing was in the place it should of been. There was more products in boxes on the floor then on the shelves. I couldn't find the product I needed and when I asked the employee if it was possible for the Dollar General product I was looking for to be on the floor the employee responded rudely I don't know. If you don't see it then we don't have it. I then left the store and borrowed the change to buy the more expensive name brand. The store was such a mess and with rude employees such as you have working there, I have been telling everyone I know that they should avoid that store. Next time I have to walk for something that is important to not just my daughter but all females. I will walk the extra 30 minutes to Family Dollar.

Dollar General air quality in store

I frequently shop at the Dollar General Store in Stanley, Virginia. Recently, there has been a strong odor of cigarette smoke in the store. It appears that the employees are smoking in the office and leaving the door open so that they can see when someone comes in. The odor of cigarette smoke is a migraine trigger for me, not to mention that I don't want to inhale second hand smoke. I thought that all DG stores were smoke free.

Dollar General customer service

Dollar General HWY 41 is the location I frequently visit. It once was my favorite. This location is not as customer oriented as it once was. On Friday, April 20, I made my second visit for the week whereas my purchases were not meager. I almost walked out just as the customer before me had. This location is getting in the habit of letting customers wait in long lines with one register operational. Fortunately, customers did not take out their frustrations on the sales associate. The associate called for backup twice during my time in line. She eventually had to leave the register to walk to the office window to ask for help once again. One customer looked as if he was going to pass out while waiting for service. The sales associate was apologetic and handled the situation very professionally. However, she needed help but was getting no response.

The competition may get an increase in business in the near future if service continues on this path. So sad!

Dollar General bluray disc

Just bought the movie arrival. Took it hone and watched it for the first time and movie is messed up. The blue ray disc actually freezes up and skips portions of the movie. I was very dissapointed that i could not watch my new blue ray movie in its entierty. The next day, today, i returned to dollar general, blue ray disc and receipt in hand. Only to go back h' me with my messed up movie and store won't refund need

Dollar General prices and sales

I just bought a phone at my locale store here in north carolina, there was a sticker on it for $19. So I got it, figured it would be worth getting it since I needed a new phone. So I got a employee to unlock the rack so I could get the phone, got to the counter and I was being charged $30 for the phone. So I say to the casher the rack says $19 for this phone, the women said she didn't see it. So she went to look at it, then came back to the register and told me that I couldn't have the phone for that price because the sale ended yester day. I told her if the price was still there after the sale even if the sale had ended she still needed to give me the phone at the price by law. She got an attitude with me and told me I wasn't getting the phone at that price because it wasn't her problem nobody took the tag of the rack. Im not sure about any one els but I wont be shopping at dollar general again.

Dollar General store is so unorganized you can't walk through isles.

Guymon ok store is so packed you can hardly walk through much less push a cart. No one stocks anything. The boxes sit on the floor in the middle of isles for days and no one cares. The isles are stack on top of each other and its hard to get through. The shelves are also unorganized making it hard to find things. No one puts anything away. It looks like someone dumped things on the floor.

Dollar General store in gravette arkansas

The store in Gravette Arkansas in in desperate need of new credit card readers. It takes several tries usually and never works at all for the SNAP EBT cards. There is one girl that works in the store that knows how to bring up the manual entry option but she is the only one so when she isn't there, no one can use their food stamp cards. So they all need more training in addition to new card readers. And the big sign out front on the pole has had working lights in about 3 months. What is going on with this store? Doesn't seem like anyone cares.

Dollar General employee

I used to visit the store located at 2130 W. Sycamore in Kokomo, Indiana 1-3 times weekly and had for years. Associate AngelAA changed that. For the past month I have been visiting a different DG. I had a stop in the same plaza today and needed trash bags so gave it another try. I almost left when I saw her at the register when I walked in but like I mentioned, needed trash bags. The woman who checked out in front of me believed her change was incorrect. She had walked forward and my items were being rung up. She turned back around before fully leaving the area of the registers. She stated she should have gotten a $10 back but AngelAA gave her $7. The woman even said sorry like it was her fault?! AngelAA never speaks to you when you check out. Her body language is complete attitude and rudeness and in this poor woman's case her day would have been better if AngelAA had remained silent. AngelAA YELLED from behind the register for a woman named Sandy. Sandy can be hot/ cold. Most of the time pleasant but had one visit where she made it unpleasant. Sandy came up and asked "what's the problem?" But only to AngelAA. The woman handed Sandy the receipt and explained what cash bills she handed to AngelAA . Sandy turned from the woman to the inside of the check out area and AngelAA began pointing to the section with cash tendered and what not. The woman, still being incredibly pleasant, says she will wait for the drawer to be counted down if that is necessary. AngelAA turned and started yelling at the woman. Body language, tone, and words nothing but ridiculous rudeness! AngelAA was saying, "it will be just a minute!, you will have to wait, just give us a minute? Ok... Through all this I am still trying to check out. angelAA did not hit a button or something so my debit card wasn't being read. Of course, that was my fault based in her body language and lack of words. She said take it out (the debit card) so mumbled i had to ask excuse me. Of course I received it louder that time so removed the card and inserted it again. I was wrong again, I should have waited for her permission. Again, that is based on body language and lack of words. She said take it out again and then i just waited until she said when. Inconvenience again to her but oh well, she is an inconvenience to my disposition as well. The lady who was standing there waiting for her change to be corrected was still standing there with her face still in shock over AngelAA's reactions to her saying she would wait for the drawer to be counted. As I walked past her, i could see her becoming angry and said to her that they should have fired her a long time ago and that she is nothing but rude every time. The woman agreed she was rude but still had a half-shocked and half-mad face. I left the store before i learned the outcome. Sandy did nothing when AngelAA yelled at the woman. I have worked retail and and/or customer service for three decades. Never have I worked with or met anyone as rude as AngelAA and i can honestly say this is first time I have ever filed a complaint on any associate of any store I have ever worked or visited. AngelAA is just too rude to not express a complaint.

Dollar General zte tracfone

Called Lincoln ave Evansville IN store Monday to check on cell price lime it said to do online- male cashier was difficult so asked for manager - on phone asked abt pricing on phones, told.me abt $10 off with purch of 15$ prepId card, phone wouldn't ring up correctly and didn't have any 15 $ cards either- was told after asst Mr spokr to GM that they couldn't sell that. Phone at advertised rate or sell me a 15 card, I had walkrd there and already sold my phone and then was rejected by staff they couldn't even sell one at advert price if I bought a more. Exo prepId card, endednup having t OK walk to CVS and they had 2 phones one of which was the zte, I hD to. Buy it at the reg price and buy a 15 phone card, I feel that I should receive my 10 back as this was unfair

Dollar General porsche

I went into your macon ms store and I asked the cashier why they couldn't give me change and their drawer was open the cashier porsha proceeded to get loud with me and I got loud with her and She continued to get loud and I continued to get loud back and since when it's ok for your employees to get on Facebook and talk about and video tape where people stole something and talk about the customers that shop in your store

Dollar General management/cleanliness

The Dollar General on 20 Lee road is in some serious need of assistance. It's difficult to walk through any of the aisles, let alone find something you need. Everytime I visit it always seems like they have pallets and boxes out, they must get a truck in everyday!

Also, the management is very unprofessional and rude. The manager, Ashley, yelled at a young man working the register during my checkout about his speed (which was normal) and threatened his job right in front of me and apologized. I don't go to Dollar General and expect the most wonderful courteous customer service, but I do expect them to keep private matters private.

Overall bad experience and I hope it changes soon.

Dollar General service

i went into dollar general with my grandma April 20th 2018, at 1:00pm and the employees were extremely rude and had the worst attitudes. my grandma asked a question face to face with one of the two female employees and that employee looked at her, turned around, and walked away, completely ignoring her. i am DISGUSTED with the service i received today. i have NEVER had such a bad experience at this store.

Dollar General rude cashier at store #14441 off analusia blvd. cape coral, fl 33909

I purchased a pack of cigarettes on 4/20/2018. I was given the wrong kind without me knowing. The cashier that was working at the time made a simple mistake which I am not upset about. Upon getting home and unpacking the goods I had purchased... I realized she had given me the wrong kind. I returned to the store #14441 off Andalusia Blvd.in Cape Coral, FL 33909 with the sealed pack and the receipt to exchange them. Not only did the new cashier working at cash register #1 at approximately 12:30 pm whom was a female of middle age refuse to help me, but she was extremely rude and abrasive. She would not even attempt to assist me in resolving the stores mistake. She spoke harshly to me. Ive been a loyal customer shopping there multiple times a week. Sadly that store just lost a loyal customer due to this individual's poor customer service. It is my hope this matter will be looked into and resolved.

I did not push the subject. I accepted what she told me. It was the abrasivness and overall rude tone in which she approached me and the subject that is my complaint. She could have been having a bad day or was stressed. However, even in the retail world I believe there should be professionalism and quality customer assistance. If the store made a mistake in the customers purchase I believe they should at least attempt to make some form of ammends and set things right. At least I think a corporation as large as the Dollar General should take this idea of correcting a mistake into consideration.

It's against corporate policy to return/exchange any tobacco products. So even with the sealed pack and receipt there was nothing they could do. But let me guess.. they told you this, but you pushed and wouldn't let it go until you made the employee angry? And now you're complaining because she was angry lol

Dollar General manager / kathy swafford

I would like to put a complaint about the store manager Kathy Swafford in your Manchester, Kentucky store in Garrard area, I am a frequent customer in this store and I've never had any problems with any employee in this store, on the other hand Kathy is a liar and a theif she robs the store blind and blames it on the employees she needs fired and shown she can't do people wrong and get by with it, looks like corporate needs to be let in on her little secret.

Dollar General new management

I was an employee of DG in Pelion SC..I recently quit due to the favoritism shown by the new manager.. hiring a very close friend of her as full time lead giving him the hours and cutting all others... Most recent hire was the new leads fiancé which is now getting hours and other clerks cut to 11.. the new lead also does not check ID's when selling tobacco, states he's a manager and doesn't have too.. DG wants to talk about fair practice when they allow the good workers to get used and treated poorly!
