Dollar General employee

One night I'm shopping at the store on 2214 Hobson Pike in Antioch. My receipt says store 10393. I overhear an employee, older woman with glasses and light hair, brag about being able to pass any scheduled drug test they give her even though she ingests THC all the time. I believe I overheard the cashier, bald taller male, call out to her calling her Jane. I shop here all the time and I feel very uncomfortable in that store if those are the sorts of employees allowed to work there. I'm going to have to shop elsewhere if I can't feel safe in my local Dollar General.

Dollar General night shift employees at store #10747

I am sorry to have to do this, but I feel it best for the community.

Last night, I arrived at Dollar General 30 minutes before close. I picked out my products and went to pay, but realized I left my money at home. I told them I would be back before close and to hold my products. When I returned 8 minutes before close, they had already locked up and shut the registers. I told them that this was not right, as the store was supposed to still be open, and after talking about me in spanish (which I later let on I can speak) they opened the door and let me in.

They had put the products I chose up, so I had to find them again (which took up some time). Finally, while paying for the items, I remembered I needed baby wipes as well so I looked for them. The older employee once again started talking about me in spanish, so I replied in spanish if she could stop insulting and instead point me to the appropriate isle. Realizing I knew what she was saying changed her demeanor, but had soured mine at that point. I explained that it was not okay to shut early in a community store, using a mother with an infant child looking for formula as an example.

The younger lady rolled her eyes and the older cashier instructed her (Mari, open the door) to let me out. I ended up forgetting 2 original items and left in a terrible mood. Think about how many times they might've skimmed time off before, and how many last second shoppers might've been turned away due to a 10 minute early close?

As I told my younger brother, I pick my battles. Employee service in a valued community store is a battle I will pick. I hope that these ladies get reprimanded for their flippant ways, and learn that the store IS a valued part of the neighborhood. Thank you for your time and I hope for an expedient conclusion to this.

I'm sorry to say I had the same experience. I arrived before close to rush in and get a couple of items. I go to this store at least a few times per week. The lady was very rude and screamed at me literally screamed that they were closed she pushed me to my limit and I smarted back and then they refused to ring up my items which it was still not close time I demanded they ring me out and they went to the length of calling the police! The police arrived and just kept on driving smiled and waved have a good night to me he must've had dealt with this horrible customer service representative in the past. I was so angry I was done completely wrong that I called headquarters and spoke with the district manager in the end. He sent me a $25 gift card and assured me the workers would be written up. Please do the same thing just to get satisfaction and to show these terrible people that they cannot walk on others especially working in customer service. By the way I did end up leaving with my purchased items.

Dollar General deceit on sale items

I am a very loyal customer to Dollar General Market in Hillview, Ky. I know I spend at least $150 monthly in there due to pricing of certain items. Recently a new store #17345 was built closer to my home. I have always bought pedigree canned dog food for .75 cents, buy 6, get one free. Twice at this new store I have been charged for 7 cans. Comes are listed at $3.50 for the small 8 pack of bottles. Yet, the register rings up $4.50. When i inquire about it, I get told I need to download their app! I don't want to downtown the app and everybody doesn't own a smart phone. I wonder how many other innocent people are getting ripped off!

Sincerely,

Scarlett White

Dollar General store/it is a wreck, always!

The store I am complaining about is located in Covington, Tennessee, on Highway 59 West, 38019. I live very close to this store, and I go there often, and every time i go in it it is a wreck! I don't care what time of day I go. This morning when I went in, at about 8:30 CST, I had to move stuff out of the way to get down an isle, and to look at the greeting cards. That was it, I mean, my goodness. Either you don't have enough people to work the store or they are not doing there job.

A month or so ago there was a man that worked there, maybe the store manager, and the store started looking better. But, I haven't seen him lately. This is a pretty new store, but, it doesn't look like it. I like the convenience of the store, but, something needs to be done.

Sincerely,

Donna Gwin

Dollar General promo codes

Maybe you have had other complaints but I just wanted to get the message out, on the door at a dollar general I frequently visit it says text ONE to some number and get a dollar off of your purchase but the number responded and said "invalid promo code" so why is it up on the door if you can't use it? I think this issue should get resolved so customers like me won't get misleaded.

Dollar General customer service

Dollar General is having a 2 day Clearance sale ( additional 50 % off clearance ) May 4-May 5, 2017. I had to go to the bathroom and found about 2 bins of Gain, Snuggles, and all sorts good deals, in the back room. I asked the manager was that stuff coming to the floor and she said NO it's not part of the clearance sale. But it was clearly marked clearance.

Shame on this person to assume What was marked in the back room was going to be put out that day. It may have been marked Clearance, but what if it was on a RECALL list, or a "RETURN TO DISTRUBUTION CENTER" list? NEVER assume that a store is intentionally withholding product with no reason. Besides, there will be other clearance sales.

Dollar General store manager

My fiance and two sons age 10 went to store #04763. He purchased groceries and a soaker water hose. They waited in line for their turn. When the cahier scanned in all their items he used his debit card. He swiped it several times without success. Your scanner wouldn't recognize it. The cashier became angry as she came around the counter to punch the numbers in. After that was completed she went back around the counter and told him in a rude and blunt tone that if he came back in there again that "we" would refuse to wait on him. As it turns out she is the manager of the store. I went there to speak to the manager regarding this and was told by the cashier at the register the person who waited on my husband was the manager... That's why I am filing a complaint this way instead of handling it on the store level.

Dollar General survey and digital coupons

Every receipt you get, and my family and I do get alot of receipts, has a survey web address on it HOWEVER, when you go to the website, they limit you to 3 a month...then WHY in the world put it on every receipt? Also, it gets very frustrating when you have digital coupons loaded, and they don't come off your receipt and the workers have all been instructed that they can not force them through even if they see it in our account. This is getting real frustrating because I have practically given up all stores but DG.

Dollar General customer service

Cashier was rude. I asked where an item was and he told me an isle. So i told him he can cancel my stuff and put it to the side and take the next customers while i went to go look. I come back and theres a long line of customers waiting on me. He gave me an attitude about it. If he had listened, he wouldnt have had a long line. Made me feel uncomfortable because all those people had to wait on me after i told him to take the next customers while i looked. Didnt need the attitude after. Wasnt my fault.

Dollar General unethical behavior

My girlfriend and I where walking into the Nahunta Dollar store, well there is an employee by the Chasitt Larry She started staring at us like we were doing something wrong, well I asked my girlfriend what was up and it turns out she had to be removed from the FlashFood on main st in Nahunta by girlfriend and her manager. We have spoken with several managers to no avail. Now the lady has resorted to going up to my girlfriends work and calling her names and trying to make her hurt. once again she was removed from the property by the Brantley County sheriffs office Deputy Richard Troop and Sgt. Vanessa Williams are the two deputies who have handled both calls and have all the times and case numbers. Its a shame we can not even take our son into his favorite store I would like to see this employee terminated and apologies to my family for the mental anguish this lady has caused. I will be giving you 24 hrs to respond to this letter or I will be going to involve my lawyer

Dollar General blood glucose test strips

All of the available blood glucose test strips had expired in June of 2016. Expired test strips can give false readings. People need these and they need them to be in date. It could lead to serious problems if not. I had the cashier check all six boxes of test strips that were in the store, and they were all out of date. They are very reasonably priced at Dollar General, but there's no point in buying them there if they are out of date.

Dollar General manager

The manager at the dollar general on hwy 165 in pollock Louisiana 71467 Stephanie is very lazy. I watched a young female employee pull in several heavy bags of charcoal and some kind of rack in by herself while the manager ( Stephanie) did absolutely nothing. This is ridiculous. I shop there pretty often and knowing that the so called manager wants her employee to do that by herself late at night at that and doesn't help is sad. In my opinion she needs to be bumped back down to the bottom and learn how to work as a team, and just expect the young lady to do that by herself.

Dollar General hostile, rude & disrespectful employees & managers!

I think its ridiculous how Dollar General stores allow their Employees & Managers to treat Customers! My dollar general store is the same way, the manager and employees treat me like im a criminal. I feel nervous and have severe anxiety when i shop there. I dread checking out at the register or asking an employee for assistance. They are very rude, have a bad attitude towards customers, disrespectful, and extremely unprofessional! Last time i checked, the customers are what pays the bills there and makes it possible for employees to have steady income! After my experience today at store # 13418, in Mount Sterling KY, I will NO longer shop there, im tired of getting verbally abused in front of other customers and shopping in a hostile environment. Need to call the BBB on them and News Channel 36 on your side to have them investigated! Not to mention, report them to OSHA and all the clutter in the store is a safety and fire hazard, and its not handicap accessable. Theres no way a disable person can move around in the store because of clutter and blocked isles. Very dirty and unorganized. Employees treat customers horribly! I would be ashamed of myself to run a store that functions that way!

Dollar General the interior and exterior of store.

I shop at the local dollar general every week. I choose to shop there for the prices and its either there or the IGA. It just seems that every time I go, I do not enjoy it. The exterior is always dirty. Granted, the parking lot is shared with other businesses but the employees of DG are always outside smoking by the front door, and they feed stray cats so they are always by the door waiting for food. I understand they place outdoor items on the sidewalk for purchase (pools, patio furniture etc) and clearance items also, but at least make it a little bit easier and cleaner for the customers to be able to browse the items. Now on to the interior. Today I made the decision to shop at the DG and not FoodLion to do some shopping for groceries and household items. When I walked in, there were no buggies. I walked all around the store and I counted 4 that had stuff in them that were just sitting down different isles and 1 that was by the restrooms. There were only 2 employees working. One on the register and one that was sitting in a patio chair for sale smoking cigarette. I had the intention of spending my hard earned money there but I was limited since I had to use a handheld basket. The store is always a mess. There is no organization and I cannot imagine an elderly person able to move around in the store very easily with all of the tripping hazards. I am not trying to complain but I know if I feel this way, there has to be others. My family and I shop there for the prices and for a quick experience but the line is sometimes 5 people long with a few items. The employees are in no hurry to get you checked out. I enjoy being able to browse the isles and look for items that I cant find anywhere else but again, it's difficult when there are no buggies and the isles make it impossible to get thru. I have been shopping there for 5 years and it is getting out of control. I shop there for groceries, toiletries, home décor, seasonal items, little items for a family member and even some Christmas shopping. Please do not let this fall on deaf ears. Thank you.

Dollar General cashier

I went into the store at England Arkansas, the cashier was very rude, Let the first remark go bye, when my granddaughter and I was looking at the lip gloss, and she came around the corner and told the kids not to be touching things, than my grandson got a ball he is 4 years old, he was bouncing the ball, she told him to stop. I told her I could handle my grand children, at this point I was very upset, we left, will my grandson came out with the ball, I took it back, she left her register to tell me to get that little animal, that my granddaughter had, I went to get it. I will not be back in that store as long as she is in there, she look like everything but a employee, I worked in retail for 15 years, and I know that you don't treat anybody like that. Dollar General employee

My name is Heather Pinney. I live in Jefferson, Ohio 44047.I live right next door to Dollar General so i am literally in there everyday. I like some of the girls who work there, but i am totally fed up with a lady who started a couple months ago. She always wears a sweatshirt over her name tag but i know her name starts with "TAM." so i'm assuming her name is Tami(Tammy). She is late 40's-early 50's age. shoulder length hair. wears glasses. She is so rude to everyone! Especially if you ask for cigarettes. She rolls her eyes so much, she sighs SO loud as if she is really annoyed with everything you bought. And it's not just one time, it's everyday that she works. Alot of people around here are sick of her attitude. I'm almost afraid to ask her for cigarettes not knowing how she will react. Please do something about her in our local store.
