Cymax Stores worst online store

they have the worst customer service. you will receive you order god knows when. im waiting for my orders for over 2 months now. they dont even call u to let you know that they are out of products but they charge you right away. i called them and some one said she wil call me back after speaking to the manufaturer. she never called me back. i called again and the same thing happened..and it kept on happening...i think you should save you money and time and look somewhere else. i found a similar website called csn and their shiiping times are also long but not as long as this one. and atleast they have better customer service.

Cymax Stores fraud and lies

I ordered a bed from cymax and did not receive all the parts. When I contacted them, they were very unresponsive. After following up a few days later, they told me that the parts were back ordered and another month or two and that if I wanted to return the bed, they would charge me a re-stocking fee. Horrendous service.

On March 11 2016, we placed an order of table set with Cymax store on Amazon for $350. It was delivered around March 20 2016.

In late April one of the bolts came off from the chair. We assembled it back. A few days after the bolt came off again. We assembled it back again. This kept occurring for a couple of weeks until we realized that the bolt and socket are faulty.

We contacted the seller Cymax requesting a refund for the defective product. On June 6 2016, Cymax rejected our refund request citing the ’30 days policy for refund’. We had no choice but to accept their offer of a replacement.

On July 28 2016, Cymax emailed us to confirm that a replacement is to be with us between 29 Jul 2016 and 04 Aug 2016.

On August 7 2016, we emailed Cymax to enquire the whereabouts of our replacement. Cymax replied that the replacement cannot be processed until September 12th due to back order.

We complained to Cymax for the poor service we received. Their reply was simply ‘we were not aware of the backorder’

Now six months later, the product is falling into pieces with other bolts came off. We have received neither the quality of the product nor the service. We kept chasing Cymax for update but all we received is repetitive automated emails.

As a customer, we feel we have been treated like a fool.

I ordered a desk and everything came in just fine. I thought a part was missing and when I called the manufacturer, they were very helpful. I just placed an order and I wanted to change the shipping address and I was on hold for over an hour wtih Cymax. I had to call Bush (the manufacturer) to try to get a hold of someone at Cymax. I got the number to the account representative. She emailed 6 people for me at Cymax so that they can contact me and I can change the shipping address. This really shouldn't be this difficult.

I agree completely. Unfortunately, I did not see this website until AFTER I ordered furniture from Cymax. I am now in the middle of a horribly, unprofessional experience with Cymax. First, my furniture was delivered with only some of the pieces. Those pieces that arrived were damaged. I refused the order. Now, no one returns my calls and I cannot get in touch with the customer service representative who has been assigned to handle my order.

Cymax Stores condition of product

just found this site.wish i found it before. ordered a dresser and a double from them.both came damaged.put the single dresser together and tried to repair damaged parts. opened the second dresser, a double, and it was in worst shape then the first.I called cymax, the first rep wanted to charge me restocking and shipping fees.i went nuts.the second rep took care of me and got me my money back.i was told that replacement parts were going to be sent to me for the single dresser.So far no parts.I emailed cymax, no reply yet.I thought the customer rep was good and eventually was very helpful, but now she is absent.it's a shame because now i don't have matching pieces and i am hoping the replacement part comes for the one piece i kept, and cannot recommend cymax.

Cymax Stores bad service

I was going to purchase a jewelry box for my daughter, who I know is picky. I made sure I could return the jewelry box if she didn't like it. Cymax had a 30 day return policy. Not exactly. Now i want to return the $46 jewelry box I got that had free outgoing shipping. From the $46 price I paid they deduct $11.50 restocking (even though I didn't even open it -- my daughter rejected it based upon the picture on the box), I have to pay $12.10 outgoing shipping, $12.00 shipping to return it. So effectively I get $10 credited back to my credit card. That is criminal!

I have a story with them as well. Waiting to be resolved because I don't want to be shat on for a nasty review. But basically it is along the same lines. My order which was supposed to consist of 2 boxes only came with one (completely unfunctional without the main piece). Ordered 10/10/11, received 10/28 only 1 box (which by the way was delivered by 3 people you wouldn't want to cross on any street in a budget rent-a-truck). Manufacturer claims to have given both boxes to shipper, so it seems the underlying problem is this shady shipping company 'Home Delivery.' The fact that Cymax has horrible customer service, never gives a clean answer, and takes weeks to respond (I have emails from supervisors where I can show you they just completely ignored me after a couple of back and forths). Definitely not worth the savings vs. going to a local store or reputable online company. The discount is definitely due to the thin and unresponsive staff and horrible choice in shipping company. After this second box is delivered (supposedly next week after cymax finally caved and re-ordered) I am going straight to any 'leadership' I can find in Cymax (internet searches show an Arash Fasihi, but I will also write to the above mentioned Shima). I will post updates here.

I purchased a platform bed from Cymax on August 22nd, and it is now October 7th and I still don't have a bed. I have spoken with a dozen CSR's Wayne, Stacy, Brenda, John, Richard, Amy, Alec...no one has been able to get me an answer. First they lost the bed, had no proof it was picked up by the shipping company, and no one calls to give me a status. Second, I called to cancel the order, and Brenda (very rude) never cancelled the order she issued a return, how do I return something I don't have? Third, I was promised two weeks ago it was located and by the end of last week I would be called and a delivery date scheduled and I would have my bed no later than this Friday (today Oct. 7th) and I just got off the phone with Britanee and Alec and they still don't know where the bed is AND wont cancel my order and give me a full refund. I have spent hours on hold listening to how great their customer service is...NO WAY! This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had!

Cymax Stores defective loveseat

I ordered and recently received a recliner love seat from Cymax Stores. The love seat was defective which I found out about shortly after delivery. The delivery men had already left.

One side of the love seat wouldn't lock down after reclining I immediately called Cymax and spoke to a specialist. She advised me the defective love seat would be picked up and a new one delivered to me.

About 2 weeks later, I received a large, heavy package from Catnapper (manufacturer). The packing slip said it was the mechanical mechanism for the recliner.

I contacted the specialist again (ReneeL) and asked her when someone was coming by to fix the recliner and denied she had ever told me I would receive a new recliner when I questioned her about that. She said I should contact a handyman to put it together since I am saying I can't do it myself!

Oh, and I would have to pay for the handyman myself.

I contacted them again today. I spoke with (Nathanial). Renee was too busy to speak with me. I told him to pick up the recliner and the heavy package and return my money.

He said a return specialist would contact me within 24 hours. Another run around, I'm sure. This has been going on for over a month.

This is a sleazy company. I am considering a charge back and putting the merchandize in my garage waiting for them.

I spoke with Renee. I remember her. She had a very sweet voice and listened to me even though I pratically yelled at her for 20 mins. After I was done though she was still very helpful and didn't sound angry at me at all. It was very nice to vent and I never got a chance to apologize. She had sent me a tracking number and it got filtered into my spam folder. I yelled at her (which now I'm embarassed about), but once I gave her a chance to speak she not only sent it again but read the tracking number to me on the phone. She was really nice. You shouldn't be angry at people when you are just irritable that you don't like your couch.

I don't know who you are referring to. I recently placed an order with Cymax and yes there were problems with it. I spoke to the customer service agent you spoke with and he was really helpful. He did all he could and more so.

UPS lost my package and originally Cymax was going to wait for the results of a trace request. I told the nice man I spoke to that I needed it as soon as possible. He was sympathetic and convinced the manufacturer to send out a new one right away. Normally they don't do this but Nathanial really pushed hard for me. In the end I got my product.

In short, I don't agree with this. It seems like one small isolated incident.

Cymax Stores non delivery of item

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM, THEY ARE FRAUDS! I purchased and paid for a very expensive bed back at the beginning of November from this company. Originally everything was fine. They shipped a lot later than indicated in their website but at least it got shipped. When the item arrived at my home the whole headboard was cracked from top to bottom. This was a huge piece of furniture-almost 7' tall & weighing over 200 lb. The drivers of the truck refused to take the item off the truck even though Cymax told me I had to keep the item in order to get it replaced. I had to climb in the truck to take pictures to email to Cymax & then the papwerwork the driver gave me fraudulently stated that I "refused delivery" which I did not. I changed his paperwork to state that the driver would not take the item off the truck due to it being damaged. Anyway, after hours on the phone wrangling with both Cymax & Home Direct-their shipping company, the drivers took the damaged bed back with them & left me the intact pieces-footboard, side rails, etc. Supposedly Cymax ordered a new headboad. I was notified a few weeks later via email that the replacement had shipped. When I went online to check the status of the shipment & noticed that they had shipped a footboard, not the headboard which was damaged. I immediately notified Cymax & found out that yes, they had reshipped the wrong item. I was assured that the correct item would be reordered but now that weeks have gone by there is no communication, no indication of a replacement coming. They have had my $2060 for almost 3 months. I have requested a cancellation to the order & a refund of my money. They are beating around the bush & saying that may not be possible, etc. etc. Is there any type of legal action that can be taken in a situation like this?

I agree they are a fraud company! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! They are extremely rude, they don't deliver what they promise. I bought a bed back in February, and never arrived by the time they have promise. I called about ten times and they always blame the manufacture, they said that the order was correct but it wasn't their fault and that i had two chices...1 was to cancel my order, and 2 that I had to deal with it and wait!. I was furious by the II way that this manager was treating me. o told this person that I wanted my bed! and hang up the phone. Two weeks later I check my email and it said that the order has been cancel. And the worst part was that the order said that the customer wanted to cancel the order! THIS COMPANY SUCKS, BE AWARE EVERYONE THEY DON'T DELIVER, THEY ARE VERY IRESPONSIBLE

Cymax Stores ripped off

I ordered a bed from Cymax in June, they charged me $1899.00 for it. I finally received delivery at the end of July to find that the headboard was damaged. they again sent another headboard 6 weeks later that was the wrong finish, and damaged also. the 3rd headboard arrived the end of September and it also was damaged. At that point I requested that I wanted to return the whole bed. They would not let me. I could only return the damaged headboard.

In Novemeber they offered me a $863.00 refund on a bed I never received.

This company should be put out of business. It is a total ripoff to the consumer and since they are in Vancouver Canada BUYER BEWARE.

Cymax Stores defective merchandise

Purchased TV cabinet. Arrived with 5 damaged parts. Cymax said to contact manufacturer which is same company as Cymax! Still no parts, no delivery date, nothing. Cymax is a front for reselling defective, poorly made, cheap, inferior furniture manufactured in China. Cymax has dozens of websites selling this stuff, all of which go to the same boiler-room call center. This company thrives on ripping people off, lying, and cheating. DO NOT BUY FROM CYMAX!

Cymax is definitely cheating and (I don't why) Google is helping them cheat people.
My feedback for my purchase was trimmed by Google ( I did a Google checkout).
In my original comment I had said 'ONLINE SHOPPING of FURNITURE is a bad Idea'.

Cymax Stores recieved inferior product/not what I ordered

I ordered an electric fireplace that included
Multi-Function "slim-line" Remote Control
Heat – On/off button toggles heat between the highest setting and off
Standby – Switches all functions on or off to the previous setting
Volume – Up/down controls the 5 volume levels
Flame – Up/down controls for the 5 brightness settings
Crackle – Three settings: crackle and wind, crackle only, and sound off
Embers – Toggles the rolling ember effect on/off
Sparks – Toggles the sparks on/off

The one I got had one setting for flame and one for heat that is it, I could have gotten that down the street, they told me I got what I ordered it is false advertising, I am waiting for a call now to see what they are going to do about it

Cymax Stores awful everything

I ordered a set of bar stools from this retailer and it took them 3 months to ship the order. When it arrived I realized it wouldn't work in my house. They told me there was a 20% restocking fee, which is not anywhere on their website. They say there may be a restocking fee for a return, but never state what the fee is. By the time they subtracted the restocking fee and the outgoing shipping fee, and I paid to ship it back, it cost me over 40% of the cost of the stools.

My advice is to stay away from this online retailer and their sites. DO NOT buy unless you're sure you won't need to return the purchase. All in all a very poor buying experience.

Ordered a bed from Cymax. Shipment never arrived. Called to ask what happened, was asked to wait. Called again days later and was told the carrier had lost the item. Asked to cancel the order. Was told to wait for them to do a 72-hour search. Waited 3 days, was told my order would be canceled and fully refunded. Days later, no refund, called again: now they say they've found it again, so they can only process it as a return, meaning that I will be charged shipping and restocking fees! I am currently disputing the charges through my credit card.

I ordered a chair from them which was delivered cracked and scratched with a leg that didn't match the other 3 legs. I called them they said they would get me out another chair and then let me know what to do about the damaged one. Well they did not do this. They sent me an email stating that they couldn't get me another chair and wanted me to take a $50 credit. I told them that was unacceptable and they have yet to resolve the matter. This has been going on for over a month.

My experience was similar. I ordered a bed from them over a month ago. Have still not received it. I spoke with customer service reps on 5 occasions (after an average wait of 30mins to an hour on hold). I finally escalated to a manager, who was conveniently in a meeting. The situation was finally fixed on the system today. I got an update on their website that said that I would receive the product in another 20 days! I immediately called and cancelled my order. Steer clear of this company they woo you in with competitive prices and cannot deliver. Their customer service is awful. I am going to my local discount furniture store here in Austin (which I should have done originally). He can order for the same sources and will probably get it here quicker.

The worst experience ever. We were told items were in stock, so we ordered them. They charged our credit card, and then emailed us that we will have to wait months for our order. Customer service would not respond to any of our request. Then after waiting for months, they cancel our order, and would not explain why. All and all about 20 calls to Customer service and ZERO satisfaction. My advice is go somewhere else even if you have to pay a lot more.

Cymax is not trustworthy
customer service is awful

I feel badly because ... the company that MADE the product I ordered has been helpful, as far as they can be... but ultimately Cymax has to process the return of this faulty product. The alexandria kitchen cart with bun feet and a black granite counter top.

The drawers and other supporting portions that hold the 100lb granite are made from particle board and fall apart.

Do not buy this product but more importantly, do not purchase anything from Cymax. "Lindsay" and "Aaron" at extension 125 will NEVER return your calls.

Cymax lies.

I ordered 3 barstools from Cymax and couln't be happier. They had great customer service, I messed my order up twice and they cancelled it for me and reimbursed me very quickly. Once I got my order right it was just 3 2/3 weeks and I received my bar stools. My experience with Cymax was exceptional...Didn't have the big company feel like you didn't matter. Great price (saved me $300 off store retail), free shipping and no sales tax. Great product. Most of their stools are not ready made...you pick out the powder coating, the seat fabric then they have to make them. This all takes time.

I own a Real Estate Co. and have ordered several desks. Cymax has lied about every one of the delivery dates. I am now still waiting for a desk that was ordered on Sept 23, I was told it would take 5-7 days and now they say Nov 4th, but that is to San Bernadino and the company does not deliver farther than that so it will be sent to another co and we will wait another 3-4 days after that. The last order showed up completely demolished.

This company SUCKS!
Do not buy anything from them!

Cymax Stores rip off

I ordered a bunk bed that came broken. Cymaxstores.com refused the return, claiming the item was not broken. However it was broken in several places. Then they offered to refund me $62.00 on a $1400.00 purchase, charging me $1100 in returned shipping fees. I have never heard of such a thing in my life. They have the worst customer service and business ethics that I've ever endured in my entire lifetime. They are literally trying to steal from me and lie to me. I highly recommend that you make your furniture purchases elsewhere. People can not afford this type of consumer abuse.

Cymax Stores awful company

I am still shaking from just thinking about this company. I am an interior designer and have ordered from hundreds of stores and have never had the service from a company as I have had from this company. It took me 6 MONTHS to get a bunked delivered from them. I can't even begin to type everything that has happened but their customer service is TERRIBLE their management *** and they lie, lie, lie! I have been promised repeatedly that I will get a discount for all of the problems they caused me and I am still getting the run around. They do not understand the value of their customers. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

I ordered a desk and two shelves from Cymax several weeks ago. The day I received my order I donated my old office furniture and began assembling the new. When I got to box two of the desk it was a different color than the other part of the desk and from what I ordered. I called them and they indicated they would send out the replacement order on Monday. Three weeks later I still have no office furniture, get a complete run-around everytime I call. I have contacted my credit card company and am disputing the charges.

This is the worst customer service I have ever received in 39 years. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

I purchased a shoe cabinet from Cymax. It took 3 weeks to receive and when it came the pieces don't even match. The doors are the only thing received in the oak color I ordered! Wish I had seen these complaints before I ordered! If you are thinking of ordering from this company, don't! Product is very cheaply made, colors don't match and price is inflated for what you get. Will never purchase from them again. Also tried to cancel when the order did not ship when promised and they would not even reply to my request! Cabinet was to be a gift, but arrived too late. I guess I purchased extremely high priced firewood!

I didn't google this company before I ordered, unfortunately...otherwise I wouldn't have ordered from them. I placed an order for a bunk bed for my daughters the beginning of May. When we didn't receive any information on the tracking or whereabouts of the bunk beds (after 2 weeks) we called and asked for some information as to what was happening. The could not find our tracking info or any info for that matter (except our credit card number, of course) and promised to call us back the next day when they figured it out. Surprise, surprise-they never did. So, I called them back again after a few days of nothing. They then told me the exact same thing and when I tried to cancel my order they told me it would take a few days for them to refund the purchase. What a frustrating ordeal! Not only was my money taken and no product given, my kids have been sleeping on mattresses on the floor, which isn't that bad, but the room is in disarray and my life is hectic enough. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! THERE ARE MANY OTHER STORES ONLINE THAT OFFER JUST AS CHEAP OR CHEAPER PRICES! GO THERE, AND HOPEFULLY, WE CAN MAKE THIS COMPANY SEE HOW AWFUL THERE SERVICE IS.

Ordered an item on the Cymax site and was promised it would ship within 2-3 days, and that 25 of the items were in stock. After a week with no tracking information, spent an hour on the phone with a Cymax representative (who was very nice, just unfortunately working for very bad people). He finally told me that the item was now backordered 45 days. I asked if Cymax would have called to tell me, and he said no. Apparently, I was supposed to spend $500, and then wait 45 days without hearing anything from the company that charged my credit card. I put in a cancellation request - but now get to wait until Tuesday to maybe hear back. So, I have no gift for my girlfriend, no money to buy one until Cymax returns my $500, and I wish I had read about this company before I bought. DO NOT BUY FROM CYMAX!

Ordered and recieved an entertainment unit. Upon opening the box, saw that the TOP was damaged. Notified CYMAX immediately and sent photos of damaged part. Over the past 15 days have spoken to 7 (seven) different reps to get the piece replaced. It has been one promise after another after another and all are lies. Nothing has been done. The reps are all polite and tell you whatever you want to hear and do nothing. Will put the item in dispute with my credit card company.

I placed an order on 5/15. It never got shipped. I called countless times, and emailed. Despite their promises to check on the status, they never called me back. My emails got responded to with a survey. They told me it was going to be shipped on 5/28. It never was. When I called to cancel the order, they told me they couldn't cancel until they knew whether the manufacturer had shipped it or not. The manufacturer apparently didn't return their calls, so I couldn't cancel because I was going to be charged if it had been shipped. I needed the item, but couldn't order it elsewhere until I heard back from the Cymax staff. Finally, on 6/3, I received confirmation the item had never shipped and I could cancel. This was the most horrendous shopping experience I've ever had, other than with Discount Pet Meds, also a Canadian company. I wish I had researched them before placing this order. They are an awful company to deal with.

I waited seven days for my office furniture to arrive. When it came two out of four boxes had multiple damaged pieces. Call Cymax right away and had to wait for two hours to talk to customer service. They put in a came and sent me an e-mail; nevertheless, I haven't heard from them since. They are very unprofessional with poor customer service. It has been five days since I put in the complaint, I am still waiting, in the mean while all my old office furniture and computer are scattered all over my living room. Word of wisdom, do not buy from these poorly trained people with nothing in my but ripping consumers like me and you off.

Do not buy from these people- they are the worst, most unprofessional company I have ever done business with. I purchased a large desk from "Computer Desks and More, " one of the many internet companies they do business under (probably so that no one associates that business with all of the numerous complaints about Cymax.) I paid for the "white glove" delivery service. The desk arrived badly damaged. I documented everything in the manner Cymax asked, right on the delivery receipt. The company told me that they might be able to repair the damage, so I should accept the delivery and that they would send me another if it couldn't be repaired. I took photos and sent them right away. The people I dealt with were very friendly & nice and told me they'd send another unit ASAP. Great! I made a mental note that these people were fair and reasonable. When the delivery company called to set up the delivery of the new desk, I reminded them that the old, damaged unit would need to be removed. They told me they couldn't do that without Cymax authorizing it. I emailed Cymax and they told me to give the unit to charity. I said "fine, I'll do that" but I have no way to move this huge 200 pound desk from my daughter's bedroom on the second floor of my home- obviously, they were responsible for moving the damaged unit, right? How could this be my responsibility to pay for or arrange? This was the minimum they should do given the delay and aggravation. That was the beginning of endless nonsense. Initially, Cymax emailed me that they had asked for and received a quote from the moving company for removing the unit and would get back to me. I never heard from them again. I made repeated calls & emails trying to get them to follow-up to let me know what was happening. No response. When I called the moving company they told me that Cymax had never ever asked them for a quote and had, instead, told them that they wouldn't pay to have them remove the old unit. I ended up having to hire movers to remove the old damaged unit. Moral of story: Do not make internet purchases from companies that do not have established histories with good customer service feedback.

They mis-represent the quality of their product and return policy. After observing their add and read a discription of their product as being constructed of wood, not press board or "wood like", but as wood. we called and spoke to a sales person whom stated yes the construction is wood and that if we are not satisfied with the product there is a policy that it can be returned due to the simply us not being satisfied with the quality of the product. We placed the order for about $800.00. After about three weeks the furniture, if you can call it that, arrived and we realized what we had purchased. We contacted the company and after dealing with personel advising that the product was as represented, finally spoke with someone who advised that they would E-Mail us the return procedure. Two weeks later after numerous contact with the company someone finally E-Mails the return procedure, which advises us that since we are not happy wuth the product we now must pay not only the return shipping, but the initial shipping, which was advertized as "Free" along with their "Re-Stock Fee". In all if we return the product they will only refund about half of the purchase price, even though the product is still boxed as we received it. Again we contact the company and work our way through the maze of personel only to continue to be told about the return policy. That brings us to attempting to ship the product back via "Fed Ex" whom delivered the product. "Fed Ex" was contacted and advised due to the weight they can't ship it. So in the end we are forced to accept a mis-represented substandard product from "Cymax". I guess this is a hard lesson learned regarding internet companies.

I ordered a product on a Friday, and it said it would ship in 3-5 business days. A week and a half later I called to track it and they hadn't even shipped it yet! This is unacceptable. They said the manufacturer "should" be shipping it the next day. Three days later it finally went out. I have yet to receive it, so we will see how the quality is.

Cymax Stores awful company

I have never posted anything like this before but this company has made me so angry I had to do something. I ordered two sets of bedroom furniture. After a week or so I was given a delivery date that was about 3 weeks away. When 3 weeks came I still had no furniture.

To make a long story short they delivered the furniture about 5 weeks later then they promised. Then when it was delivered one of the pieces was damaged. We refused delivery on that piece and it has been two weeks without any information from Cymax about when they will ship the replacement.

I guess I'll just have to wait another two months! Please don't deal with this company!

We were just screwed by an online company called Cymax. We purchased a desk and hutch set for about $1, 000. The set finally arrived many weeks beyond the promised delivery date, but the desk was damaged so we refused delivery and the carrier brought the set back to their warehouse to be returned to Cymax. We called Cymax that same day and they said they would replace the desk and offered to send the hutch back to us. The hutch was redelivered in good condition, then we waited for the new desk to arrive. Finally, weeks later their resolutions department contacted us to say the most they would do is give us a 10% discount on the damaged desk and redeliver it to us damaged. They said they had a document that indicated we received the desk undamaged, signed by us, but that document was for the hutch that was redelivered two weeks later! After a long conversation with customer service, which involved us emailing them the scanned document that showed we refused the damaged desk, the customer service supervisor Barry flat out refused to understand our situation or provide a replacement or refund. They even had photos of the damage! Instead he said the best he could do was give us a discount of $250 for the damaged desk and redeliver it to us. We feel like the victims of criminal behavior. The desk currently sits on the carrier's dock, and we have called them to indicate they should not redeliver the desk. We filed a complaint with the BBB and are asking for a replacement or full refund.

CYMAX is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I made a $2, 419.20 purchase for a Howard Miller book shelving system on May 31, 2011. I contacted customer service when placing the order since reading reviews that they frequently run out of stock. The agent said that the product would be shipped within the week. Three weeks past and I had not heard from the company about any shipping details since they stated that they would send a tracking number when the product shipped. I could not get a hold of a rep via the phone. The phone system always stated that due to the high amount of calls, they would call me back and “that I would not lose my place in line” I never got a call back after doing this four times. They finally answered my email after five days and stated that there was an “internal processing error” (this seems to be their excuse for many customers) and that the shelf would ship within the next two weeks. Three weeks later, still no shipping confirmation. I checked my order status and they have the shelf as backordered and expected to ship by August 11, which would be almost three months after I ordered the product, and I doubt it would even ship then. It was a major hassle to cancel my order. The company charged my credit card as soon as the order went through. This company is running some type of scam, probably using the new orders payments to pay for older customer orders.

I ordered my frined present from Cymax on June 9, 2009. In the suscription, they said "Expected to ship no later than July 15"
Since I need the product on July 18, I ordered it.
But, day passed and it was July 17, and I wan't getting anything from them.

I called them several time, and finally got, and had complained about the situation.
They told me that they need to get a tracking number and get back to me soon.

After week passed I got a call from them that they do not have the product in their stock!
What the hell!

I'll NEVER order anything from them again. EVER!

I have ordered file cabinets from them before and have had few problems. This time they sent me the wrong cabinet. When I placed the order the sales lady told me to refuse shipment is something is wrong with it. That's what I did. When I called them to let them know they said that no one would ever tell me that. In essence they were calling me a liar. Then they said that they would not refund the shipping and I would have to pay a restocking fee. I just called the delivery driver and had him bring it back. They were completely unwilling to work with me to get the right file cabinet. I will NEVER by anything from them again!

Ordered two Legare desks from this company on 2/26. Was not informed on website of awful shipping times, and did not find out until order confirmation had been sent to my email that it may take up to 3 weeks to get my desks.

3/2/10 I receive an email saying the order has been shipped, and there is a tracking number, stating they will be delivered on 3/5/10.

3/5/10 comes, I leave work for an hour to go pick up the delivery, only to find that Legare has only shipped ONE desk. I call the number on the packing slip, which clearly states TWO DESKS, and am sent to some warehouse which has employees who know nothing about it, and tell me to call Legare sales, and ask for Diana.

Call repeatedly, and "Diana" can't be bothered to answer her phone. No department picks up except Accounting, so I complain to them, and they give me to Diana's assistant (who wasn't answering Diana's phone for some reason? Some assistant.) She ASSURES me that there must have been a mistake. Maybe it was sent with 2 tags? Who knows? She then promises me that the remaining desk will be put on the truck by that afternoon, and I should have something before they even get an email to me with tracking information.

This is ridiculous. Will never order from this company again. Shame too, because the one desk that arrived is really nice.

I ordered a grill from these scammers in July. It arrived damaged and I immediately (within minutes of receiving it) notified them by email. Over one month later and dozens of phone calls and emails later, and I still haven't resolved this. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company, but want to warn others that this company is NOT reputable. Don't but ANYTHING from Cymax, regardless of price!

I tried to get a baby crib and changing table combo for about two and a half months. The website showed the product as available but the shipment email never came. They don't communicate well by email and most go unanswered. I tried with two different products and the result was the same on both. It was back ordered and I could wait or cancel the order. I suggested they hire some Amazon people to get their website info up to date and accurate. I suspect they are trying to operate with too few employees. I just hope I can get my money back easily, but based on what I've been through, don't really expect that to happen. I would have bought the customer a steak dinner and knocked 20% off his bill if I'd put him through what they did me, but they just said it was the nature of their business and besides, I could cancel if I wanted. They never seemed to grasp that I really wanted the items I thought I had purchased. I had to give up in the end and order from Amazon. It was time to move on and the baby was going to be a teenager the way things were going.

I am appalled by the service that I received from this company. I placed an order on 3 Jun 09 and have yet to receive it. (VRC121-1112911) Was advised on 1 Jul that it would ship on 2 Jul and then received an email on 8 Jul that the items had shipped with an expected arrival date of 14 Jul. Thats a 45 day time line and is absolutely unacceptable. I happened to look at the testimonials on their websire--must have been done by staff members. NEVER AGAIN!

Cymax Stores bad service/delivery information

There was a moment that I could claim to have placed and order FAIRLY RECENTLY from Cymax.com. But no more. We placed the order in May 2008 - It is now the end of July, almost August, and still no delivery.

In May when we placed our order the item was listed as on "back order" and the shipment date was June 30th. We waited and come June 30th, WE HAD TO CALL THEM to find out that we would NOT be receiving the bar and that we should now be expecting it in the next shipment scheduled for July 31st.

Well, it is about that time and we decided to call again just to check on the order - NOPE - again we got pushed back into what they claim to be the next shipment scheduled for August 20th.

Customer Service has nothing to do for us or say to us other than they are sorry but our order did not make this shipment.

I will never order from CYMAX again - BAD BUSINESS

I too am having a problem with getting my order in a timely matter. I have never had such an issue with any other store, (and I do a lot of shopping). I have ordered a swing for my baby. By the time i get it I will no longer need it lol. I keep recieving new dates that my order will arrive and now I have been told that it is on back order, something they could have told me a few weeks ago. I do hope that I recieve it soon. I will never order from this store again.

Cymax has good prices and if your product arrives undamaged everything is great. But IF your product is damaged in delivery watch out. Cymax tells you to write any damage on the shipping form, but if the carrier does not allow you to inspect the product (ABF) then you are supposed to say that on the invoice and inspect ASAP. But if the carrier does not allow you to do that either (as in my case - all ABF allowed me to write on the invoice was my signature), then basically if something is wrong with the product you are screwed.
I ordered a daybed via cymax and when it arrived the headboard had a small 6" crack at the top of it. Which granted could have been far worse but for $500 one should not have anything wrong with the product. In any case, which we are pretty sure is something that happened in shipping (ABF is a crappy carrier). ABF (of course) claims they are innocent and cymax will not send me a replacement due to there not being any damage noted on the shipping invoice. They want me to re-buy the headboard at a "discounted" rate, or send the whole thing back (I pay shipping and a 'restocking' fee)...yeah right.
I have a feeling I'll be off to home depot to attempt to repair this crack to the best of my ability. I will not use cymax again under any circumstances. This is my first, and last purchase from this company.

The complainers above need to get a eta on their delivery and then check with the provider..sometimes it is out of their control. Ashley furniture has a awful reputation for slow delivery. I do NOT believe Cymax would intentionally try to "Scam" you...LOL You just need to follow your order more carefully!

I have had a very similar experience with Cymax. I ordered a coffee table and two end tables on May 26, 2008. I also had to call customer service when my order did not arrive in the time specified. After many phone calls, emails, and cancellation requests on my part I have still not received a refund (it is now July 30, 2008). I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will continue to fight to get my money back. This has been a HORRIBLE experience and would not recommed Cymax to my worst enemy.

Cymax Stores my bad experience

I ordered a TV Stand from Cymax for a trade show in Las Vegas. I authorized overnight shipping and told them I needed it delivered before the trade show or not at all.

This was too much for them to handle.

I never received the stand and they charged me $102.79 for their mistake.
