Burlington Coat Factory Direct stay away

3 month story short: Spent approx 3.5K at this store and they did not hesistate to take our money. Received all our merchandise after hunting around town for all the pieces EXCEPT ONE which was ordered in November 2010 and we still don't have it. We still cannot get anyone to resolve the issue, I have made phone calls to the district manager and their corporate office. The Live Oak Mgr's response: I can't prove any of the conversations and interactions you've had with the Baby Depot Manager ever happened, it's out of my hands, there's is no need to be upset or argue over this, and I have no excuse as to why I haven't followed up with you! Do yourself a huge favor and don't ever buy from Baby Depot much less register at the store or DON'T EVER place a special order...you'll never see it!

Burlington Coat Factory Direct bad customer service

Customer service at this store is extremely bad. If you want a display item be prepared to stand around for an hour or two while they look for it only to conclude that they did not have it in the first place. Placing items on order will require(in my experience) at least 6 weeks. There seems to be a management problem with this store in the field of basic organization. Learn to use an inventory system that tells you what is available. Arange the storage area so that employees can quickly locate desired items and please take out display items that you no longer carry.

Bought a purse at a Burlington at an outlet mall. Realized later the cashier didn't take off security device. Went to my local Burlington only to have shift supervisor Townada question me suspiciously about the difference in price then, on the order of the store manager David I was told to go back to the original store, 1hr away from my home.

I purchased a suit and shirt for my son before he left for college in August 2005. I paid with a Visa Debit card. When he got to school, which is in Florida where they don’t have any Burlington stores, he noticed that the shirt had a cut in the back, like the ones that happen when boxes are opened. So, when he came home at Christmas he took the shirt back with the original receipt and asked if he could exchange it. The floor supervisor came and told him he could not exchange it.

So, a few days later I took the shirt and receipt to the same store and asked to exchange it because the shirt we had purchased was damaged at the time of purchase. The representative name was Jordanous, in the Vista California store, told me that she had talked with my son a few days earlier and told him she could not exchange it. I asked her why and she told me that he did not bring in a receipt, which is not true. I told her I just wanted to replace the damaged shirt with the same thing. She then told me that she would “give me” $14 credit towards a new shirt because the shirt went on sale between the time we purchased the shirt and now. So, basically she wanted me to give her an additional $5 - $6 to replace a damaged shirt they sold to me. I told her that would not be acceptable and took the shirt and left the office.

I have talked to many other people who have had similar experiences. I called the store and spoke with a manager named Lisa, and she told me that that is their company policy and she couldn’t do anything about it. I am in the customer service business and feel this is totally unacceptable. I thought, the customer was always right and that you should do whatever you can to satisfy the customer. I feel that my request was very reasonable.

I recently applied to work at the new Newark, CA. store at Burlinton Coat Factory at New Park mall 08/14/2010. That turned out to be a horrble expeience. To cut some of the details short, I felt the hiring manager mistreated me based on my race. An african american gentlemen and i both waited patiently while Kevin, the hiring mgr. interviwed everyone before us, although we waited for over an hour and was there befor these applicants. A fter that he talked to his friend for another 45mins. When i was finially interviewed by his partner he could not seem less interested! that really made me angry and hurt fot the sipmle fact that ive worked in retail management for years and i know i was more than qualified for a sales associate position. I never got a call for the position, no surprise there. As i left kevin asked me why ws i still there, was i waiting for a phone call.. wow i was shocked.. i cant believe people in management would act like that. had thay took the time to really interview me, they would have saw what a great person i am. and not focus on race...

Last year, I was trying to find a formal suit for my son and ended up in the Burlington Coat Factory in the Hopkins/St. Louis Park area. I'm not from the Cities, so I had no idea what to expect...it was surreal. The store was dirty, dingy and a complete mess. There were, literally, no employees visible anywhere in the store...just a few customers milling around. It felt strangely post-apocalyptic. I wandered around out of sheer curiosity. But, you couldn't PAY me to try on any of the clothes. I'm sure I would get scabies or some other nasty disease. My advice? Shop there are your own risk. I hear the other stores are better, but this one was definitely ghetto.

I attempted to return a suit that was purchase for my fianc'e from out of state all the tags were in place and the suit had never been worn. I enter the Pinole California store which recently opened in August 2010, to exchange the suit for a larger size, and was denied based on the price acording to the store manager the store employee Angelica whom was very RUDE and condecending gave me all sorts of excusing why the suit could not be exchanged, obviously she was not thouroughly train on burlingtons return policy, and i felt strongly discriminated againsts according to her belittling attitude. She claimed she was the customer service mananger, however she conducted herself very unprofesionally and needs to be thouroughly train to treat all customers the same, and not be so opinionated. when i asked for her supervisor, I then spoke with Brian who wanted to know all sorts of information regarding this one item when i was unable to provide this iformation because it was a gift he adamently DENIED my excahnge, which i became very disturb after waiting 30 minutes in line then another 15 minutes waiting on the manager to come to only send me through a number of problems Im very dissatisfied with the service pertaining to the new BURLINAGTON COAT FACTORY in pinole california. The return policy simply states you are allowed store credit if dissatisfied with the item its unfortunate, some store employees do not follow all guidlines. please correct this matter

Sincerly,

Andrea. A very dissatisfied customer.

Burlington Coat Factory Direct return policy

Omg! Burlington is the worst! Never shop their again in your life. I tried to return my 17 month old daughter's chiffon and velvet dress. The lace came loose from the chiffon material and the baby pulled the rest of the string and it totally unravelled. I tried to return it without my receipt with an even exchanged and they denied me, implying that I tore the dress and it was not defective! I finally had to call the regional office to have them look up my information because I used my bank card. They finally did do it and when I went back to return it the second time, the employees were still running their mouths about taking it back! That store could not pay me to steal from it so they better wise up. So many stores, so little jobs in this economy, Burlington will soon find themselves out of business for sure. I will NEVER EVER NEVER shop there again in my life.I hope anyone reading this won't either.

Being in retail you ought to know how customers ought to be treated? Ok that should have said enough. Whether or not the store is too bad or not, the reason they are still opening stores, is the result of people being ignorant, and continuing to shop there. I was very tempted to shop there again but I knew I would not have been treated with respect and acceptable customer service therefore I refused to give my money to that store. I worked In retail as well so this I seriously doubt as a matter of fact I know this is no isolated situation! Not with the return policy any way. Thank you for responding.

I CAME INTO BURLINGTON THIS AFTERNOON TO PURCHASE SOME ITEMS. WHILE COMING THREW YOUR DOORS THE ALARM WENT OFF, AT THAT TIME I WAS LOOKED AT BY THE MANAGER THERE WHOSE NAME WAS MR. CHRIS.

SO AT THAT TIME I JUST DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO GO, I WALKED TOWARD THE CASHIER, TO PAY FOR THE CANDLE AND SPRAY AS SOON AS I GET TO THE CASHIER MR. CHRIS WAS THERE ACTING LIKE HE WAS ON THE PHONE.
WHILE STANDING THERE I NOTICED THE ALARM AT THE DOOR WAS GOING OFF.

Alright, my wife and I go to the burlington store in Secaucus to get some things. When we finish my wife goes to the register to check everything out. There she sees the lady working at the register talking to someone who seemed like a friend. She then gives her some coupons. My wfie being curious wonders if she can get coupons as well. She then asks the lady and she begins make stuff up. Saying stuff like "Oh there are non left and she came here before and secured them." So my wife begins to question since when can you call dibs on coupons from far away? And why would you hold coupons for a customer? Aren't they suppose to be first come first serve? Why hold them for a specific person? She felt treated unfair. So she come to tell me. Angered, I go to the manager and tell her the story. She apologizes and says there are some left but only 10% off. We take it but still feel angry. So the employs are lying and aren't treating everyone fairly? So we proceed to go to the car when we remember we forgot some stuff. So we go back in and get the stuff. Then the customer service tells us there are more coupons available and gives them to us. So again we feel angry. Not only did the cashier lie but the manager did too? What kind of service is that? So we ask the people in Burlington to train their employs better. There are many complaints like mine that are about how bad the service is or how the employs are discriminating against the customers. Last time I checked all customers should be treated and fairly and do not deserve to be lied to. I hope you will review this complaint and act properly.

Forgot to add this: I felt just because we didn't speak spanish like the lady at the register or the lady who got the coupons or the manger we were discriminated against. Believe me it isn't a fight for coupons it's because we deserve to be treated like everyone else! How did the customer service say she has coupons left if the manager said they were out of the 20%? I don't understand? The manager is supposed to know his store and consult his customer service for assurance. Yet he just flat out says no. Why?

Burlington Coat Factory Direct - worst customer service

I went to this store to return a coat. One of the employee named Milly was at the register. She said that the coat cannot be returned but the way she said it was way rude. She behaved like she never returned a thing in her whole life and when we tried to complain about her to the manager everyone teamed up and just never considered what we said. I will...

Burlington Coat Factory Direct employees

I had a horrible experience at this store yesterday. This is the store by the metro center mall store number 181 i think. I went in with a friend and got no help from anyone working there. I lost my car key. I went up to the front desks and asked several different employees about the key. All they said was they didnt have it and turned away from me. One lady even just looked at me and said "havnt found it" then turned and started talking to someone. Everyone was SO RUDE. Two other employees who were working and standing and talking by the fitting rooms, one of whom was pregnant. Didnt help at all either. One of them had a horrible attitude and snubbed me and talked to me like a was stupid the whole time. The other pregnant one said "lady its not my fault you lost your key." The only people who actually helped me were the customers shopping! When someone found my key, one of the women by the fitting rooms basically threw the key at my friend and walked away. This was my first experience at that store, and my LAST. Me nor my friends and family will be returning after my horrible customer service experience. All i wanted was help finding my car key. No one working there cared or even tried to help. They basically ignored me the entire time and like i said, talked to me like i was an idiot or just walked away. Horrible.

Burlington Coat Factory Direct defective boots

I recently bought a pair of Via Spiga boots that I have been admiring in that shop for about a year. After purchasing them and wearing them twice, the entire bottom of the boot wore off. I thought a leaf was stuck to the sole, and when I went to scrape it off, noticed that the entire plastic, or vinyl covering on the sole had worn away, as well as the sole under the toes, eaten away. I had not been walking on gravel roads, so I was shocked at the cheapness of the boots. I do not live in the United States and don't know when I will be back, but would welcome any feedback on the manufacturing of these ankle boots. These boots were 100.00USD plus tax, Please let me know where to go from here. Thank you, Linda Campbell

Burlington Coat Factory Direct tags still on - original receipt - still won't take it back

The store receipt says the clothes must have the original tags on them, must be accompanied with the original receipt, and can be returned within 30 days of purchase. Unfortunately there's also a subjective return policy that states that it's at the manager's discretion. Well - I bought 3 children's suits (really only needed one and told the cashier I would be returning the other 2 once my wife decides on the one she likes). I brought them home - my wife liked one of them - I packed the other 2 and took them back to the store. The store examined the 2 suits (still with the tags and everything) and stated they couldn't take them back because there was a spot on each suit. I took my hands and wiped off the spot...them they found another one. I did the same and ultimately they said they can't take it back because it's worn. Keep in mind that these suits had the tags on them - in full view - and I found many other garments on the same rack with similar spots (that could easily be wiped off with a moist cloth).

I simply took the items to another store where the simply took it back - no questions asked.

The Burlington Coat Factory at North Dekalb Mall in Decatur GA has the dumbest manager out there - Robert. Please do not shop there - this store needs to be shut down for its lack of service and policies.

So first of all i like to talk about the dating we have there at Burlington Coat factory in Mundelein, IL. I didn't know that its okay for people whom are managers to date there staff their employees. They show favoritism to there men only. You can work as hard as you like but you never get an promotion if your an lady working there. they pick on you always & say nothing but negatives things to say to you. If it isn't you color that keeps you from getting head than its because your an lady. It plain and simple BAD management is there and Corporate does nothing to help there employees. You can complain over an thousand times and they do nothing. They talk about code of ethics respecting each other... why do it if the Store Manager slanders you every chance he gets. Really why work for an company that doesn't values its employees or workers they have... They would rather hire outside the store than promoting within. WOW I don't what to do about this problem we have in Mundelein, IL. Please help...

Burlington Coat Factory Direct unethical/illegal actions

Worst experience ever! My friend and I heard and noticed a few things that I knew was illegal in this store. Unfortunately it'd be my word against theirs so I couldn't do anything.

The first thing you notice as you come in is that it looks to be closed. The display windows are all covered up in black. As you enter, you notice that it's too crowded with merchandise! There's no way two people can fit in the same aisle, yet somehow people seem to think their carts will. The best way to describe the place would be chaos. My friend was trying to find some clothes and you couldn't even begin to know where to look. Clothes were everywhere and there's no sales associate so you can ask a question.

I left my friend to traverse that jungle while I looked in the men's section. This one was a lot more organized. I quickly found what I was looking for. However, when i went to the fitting room, I saw some workers removing the sensors and stuffing them in their backpacks. Apparently they were done for the day and decided to do some five finger shopping.

My friend also found what she was looking for she went into the fitting room. This turned out to be a BIG mistake...

The first one she tried, there's an abundance of clothes on the bench and the floor and all over the stall, so she moved on. She took the next available one only to come out immediately because it stank so badly of stale urine. Apparently someone decided to use this place for a bathroom. The next one was even worse, someone actually took a crap in that section. We immediately went to the front to the manager, Sue, to have it cleaned up. She calls someone, we presume to be the janitor, to clean it so we went back to the fitting room. A sales associate showed up, when we asked where the janitor was, we were told that they were downsized a few months ago. So, the associate had the illustrious job of going to the women's room, grabbing some toilet paper and SCOOPING out the crap and throwing it away in a trash can! Meanwhile we were trying to keep our lunches since that's just plain unsanitary. As if that wasn't bad enough, Sue starts yelling at her for not being in the section even though we saw her before as one of the cashiers. How does that work?

We immediately declined the use of the fitting room and resolved never to come back there again!

Worst store and worst experience ever

Burlington Coat Factory Direct shocking customer service

There was this cs rep who was almost threatening to attack me and my husband. He was so rude and casual about his job. When my husband asked a query he just pointed a finger while chewing gum or something...

He just kept arguing and not being respectful of the fact that customers have to be treated with courtesy..

Burlington Coat Factory Direct scammers and liars

Burlington Coat Factory has made several advertisement on their new return policy. However, they neglect to include the important details of the policy. In addition, the return policy is posted on the second level of the store, the check out line is on the first level. Yes, it is in the fine print on BACK of the receipt, after you have made your purchase.

I made a purchase on 4/6/08 by electronic check. The funds cleared my account the same day. I then returned half of the total purchase on 4/24/08 only to find out that I could not get a cash refund, I would have to wait an additional 14 days from the return date to have a check mailed to me.

I expressed my dissatisfaction because payment was received via EFT 18 days ago, what is the purpose of having me wait another 14 days for my refund? The only purpose I can see is either they have a very outdated inefficient system, or they are a struggling company trying to hold on to consumer monies as long as possible or attempt not to return the funds at all.

I contacted Customer Service, spoke with Pat after being disconnected twice, and was told "this is the best they can do". I informed Pat, in this age of technology and competition, their best is not good enough. I will never shop at Burlington Coat Factory again.

They advertise their new return policy, but don't ever try to use it. There is a twist to it not in your favor.

Well unfortunately, you did not take a look at your receipt. At the bottom of a receipt from paying with checks, there is a specifically noticeably part that lists the terms about it taking 14 days to return money from checks back to you. And you, like so many others, took it out on a cashier who makes minimum wage rather than call the corporate office to complain. These policies are made at corporate level. And furthermore, I have worked at Burlington Coat Factory in the past and ALL 12 of the registers at the store are from the 1970s or earlier and even if all 12 are down at the same time, corporate still refuses to spend the money to replace them. That would also be something you would need to talk to corporate about. Although I'm sure its no surprise they can't afford it when half of the customers are thieves and the other half purposely damage merchandise so they can receive a discount on already discounted prices.

Burlington Coat Factory Direct lack of customer service

I came to get my layaway off for a winter coat and an outfit on Wednesday and instead I got nothing. First I waited for 45 mins just for a man to come from the back to talk to a manager and say he couldn't find it. Then the manager proceeds to ask me how did the cashier find me in the system when I wasn't in it. I told her she looked it up from my phone number and she wrote the rest down. So the manager left for all of 1 min to tell me that it was canceled and there was nothing she could do for me. I asked her how was it canceled if the cashier whose name was Angie found me and never said anything about it the manager then said she didn't know. I am 9 months pregnant and my fiancee had came up to the same Burlington 2 days prior asking could he get my layaway for me because I am suppose to be relaxing right now. The lady that he talked to told him no and he explained the situation to her and still nothing. I am very upset and would like a full apology from someone because on this site and my receipt it clearly says a store voucher and a 5.00 cancellation fee I didn't get either. While I was in that same store I watched this same young man say 3 times including mine that people's layaway wasn't back there so obviously someone needs to step up and take blame for this because that is not how a business should be ran..

Today the two girls that work at the dressing rooms were more worried about the good conversation they were having then helping the customers. I ask them were could i put the clothes that did not fit and they ignore me for a little bit, and then one of the girls look at me like if i was been rude for interrupting the conversation they were having. She told me to put the clothes inside a basket and then they kept talking and talking. I thought they were there to help customers not to talk to each other .

Burlington Coat Factory Direct harassment

I have been currently working at Burlington Coat Factory store #471 for a year in the youth dept. i have to say its a terrible job, the type of people that shop there its ridiculous. they shop like pigs. they come in make a mess, steal and when it comes time to check out, they alwa is leave stuff at the registers. i mean if theyre not going to buy something, why do they pick it up in the first place.

Second, theres this manager named Georgiana who does nothing but harass me and give me a hard time every chance she gets. she writes me up for no reason, she threatens to fire me shes constantly on my case just for the fun of it. not to mention that she called me lazy once. she gets on people just for talking which i think is ridiculous. she recently wrote me up last week because she claims i was in another department talking, i of course didnt sign the paper because i knew i wasnt true and i knew i was working. she said i didnt have to sign it but that she was going to call the HR manager and the district manager on me because according to her, its my third or fourth write up for talking which is a big lie. which by the way she lies alot about alot of things.

the lady has problems, because when we have to close with her she will keep us there all night, we can be done with our departments and she will still keep us there two or three hours after we've closed. its like she doesnt have a life, she even said it that she has no life so "burlington" was her life. thats so sad to know! she may not have a life but the rest of us do. she says its company policy that we all have to leave together and that nobody can leave early. which is also not true.

people have complained about her previously to the coorporate office, but its like they dont take action. they talk to her and say things to her, she'll calm down for a couple of weeks then she'll be back to how she was before. i dont know why they dont just fire her and get it over with! also we dont have a store manager, its been like that for the past six months, we got a new store manager named Doug in May only for him to get fired two months later thanks to Georgiana just like what happened with the manager we had before Doug. i think we might as well not have a store manager because Georgiana will do anything to get rid of them. i think its her that they should of gotten rid of instead. she acts like she owns and runs the place which she doesnt.

another thing is that people tend to show favoritism around that store. for example there are people Georgiana doesnt say anything to if she sees them talking. and then a couple of weeks back, the accountant made a rude comment to me and i snapped back at her. she went and told the other manager we have Manzar, that i cursed her out and he wrote me up. that was so not fair because he was there when she said what she said to me and he acts like he didnt hear it. not to mention that they dont give you the days you request to work and to be off. they want you to work whenever they want you to, and if you call off just one time they make a big deal about it. which i dont think its fair because we cant help it that things come up when you least expect it.

i wish i had never worked for thais company. there they take advantage of you, and then they want to overwork you for little or nothing. the management there is just terrible. i felt like i just had to vent about the harassment and mistreatment i go through at Burlington.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA. THE STORE MANAGER AT MY STORE IS EXACTLY THE SAME! AND NOT THAT I DONT AGREE THAT YOUR MANAGER IS [censor]ED UP BUT MINE HAS DONE SOME REALLY MEAN HORRIBLE HEARTLESS THINGS TO PEOPLE. I KNOW THAT THE STORE CLOSEST TO THE BURLINGTON I WORKED AT IS THE SAME WAY AND SHE ALSO THREATENS GOOD WORKERS JOB DAILY BECAUSE SHE FOR SOME REASON DOESNT LIKE THEM

This is all to common with Burlington Coat Factory. Your store is not the only one this happens too...it seems like LOUD people run the store instead of store managers.

Burlington Coat Factory Direct never again!

I went into Burlington Coat Factory to put some toys for my son on layaway for Christmas. I gave a CASH down payment to the clerk at the time of my purchase. I came back a week later to pick up the items but the store employees were having difficulty finding my items. I stood at the customer service station for over an hour waiting for them to locate the toys..no luck. The store employees were not sympathetic at all...only occasionally acknowledging my presence and saying"they're still looking".

I got tired of waiting for my order so I asked for my money back. The clerk told me that I would have to wait to receive my money back in the form of a check in the mail since they would have to deem it a "Lost Layaway". She said that it should arrive in 7-10 business days.

After about 3 weeks of waiting I called the corporate office to check on the status but the woman said that I would have to wait until the check had been out for 30 days and if I still hadn't received it then I should call back and she would put a stop-payment on the check and issue another one.

It has now been a month since my layaway was lost and I have still not gotten my money back. I called the woman back today and she said that she would do the stop-payment and that my check should go out tomorrow. I asked her if I could have the check sent overnight or Certified Mail so that it would require a signature for delivery, but she simply said "NO". So, basically I have been waiting a month to get a refund on a transaction that was cancelled because thy were unable to locate my layaway and I could potentially wait another month if the check does not come this time.

I WILL NEVER SHOP AT BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY AGAIN!

Burlington Coat Factory Direct return dissatisfaction

I RETURNED TWO ARTICLES OF CLOTHING TO BURLINGTON'S AND WAS INFORMED BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN PAST THEIR DATE TO CREDIT MY CHARGE CARD FOR THE AMOUNT THEY WOULD ISSUE ME A STORE CREDIT. THIS WAS FINE...BUT THEN THE CREDIT THEY WERE GIVING WAY WAS BELOW THE AMOUNT I HAD PAID.
WHEN I COMPLAINED THE CLERK SAID THAT WAS STORE POLICY...THE MERCHANDISE HAD ALL ORIGINAL TAGS ATTACHED, GARMENTS NEVER WORN, AND ORIGINAL RECEIPT WAS GIVEN TO THEM. THEY SAID IT DIDN'T MATTER...I TALKED WITH TWO EMPLOYEES AND ASK FOR THE MANAGER AND WAS GIVEN SAME REPLY...NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT, AS 1)IT WAS STORE POLICY AND 2) THEIR SYSTEM WOULDN'T ALLOW IT.

I HAVE SHOPPED AT A LOT OF STORES, HAVE RETURNED ITEMS AND HAVE ALWAYS RECEIVED THE AMOUNT I PAID FOR THE MERCHANDISE WITH MY SALES RECEIPT.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. NO WHERE ON THE RECEIPT DOES IT MENTION A 2 WEEK RETURN CLAUSE ...YET THAT IS WHAT THEY CLAIM WHEN YOU TRY TO RETURN SOMETHING.

I ALSO FIND THE QUALITY OF THEIR MERCHANDISE TO BE SUBSTANDARD...AND DOUBT THAT I WILL EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN...AND I WILL CERTAINLY INFORM ANY AND ALL FAMILY, FRIENDS AND ACQUAINTANCES OF THIS STORES TERRIBLE CUSTOMER RELATIONS, MERCHANDISE ETC... JKG

Burlington Coat Factory Direct - corruption

I was working at Burlington Coat Factory as a Loss Prevention Associate. My manager asked me to inform a lady who was in the store with an empty back pack that she had to leave the bag with customer service. Upon doing so the lady became irate, and went and complained to the same manager, who then denied knowing anything about the incident. The lady left...

Burlington Coat Factory Direct damaged diamond

Burlington sells damaged diamonds. I had an issue over a damaged diamond ring my husband purchased a few years ago, I kept it in a bank safe for years and took it to another jeweler to clean and sell and discovered the diamond was damaged. I wore the ring approximately three months and stored it because it never had the brilliance it should have so I stored in a bank safety deposit box and later decided to sell it. They will not take responsibility for the damaged diamond even though I have all the paper work and receipts management would not exchange or take it back. I can also prove the ring was stored by bank statements and a witness. I feel it was in a bezel setto disguise the flaw so that it was impossible to be seen in tiny opening in the bottom of the mounting.
Something told me to take the ring back after my husband told me where he purchased it but it was a gift and I felt bad to do that. I wore it about three months and decided to store it at the bank and decided to sell it since he assured me it didn't bother him.
I will never purchase another item at Burlington Stores again! I don't trust them and they have cost us a value of approximately $5, 000.00! Oh did I tell you it was 50% off! So we are out about $2700.00 with tax! Thanks, we really can't afford the loss, we were hoping to sell this for a better ring! Now my husband's hard earned money is down the drain and we will never trust another diamond! My advise, buy a fake! They are prettier anyway!

My Husband and I purchased a bridal set from Burlington aswell. It was on sale and we were able to purchase the set for $2200. The paperwork shows it is white gold with real diamonds...however... the gold has already started changing colors and the diamonds have turned yellow. I have only worn the set for 6 months and i have cleaned it multiple times with no luck of the yellow being removed from the diamonds. Some of the gold has turned a darker color and the underneath of the set has small green spots. Has EVEN TURNED MY FINGER COLORS! Any thoughts?

BURLINGTON DOES NOT SELL DIAMONDS. THIS PURCHASE MUST HAVE BEEN FROM ONE OF THE ULTRA JEWELRY OUTLETS THAT ARE LOCATED IN A FEW OF THE BURLINGTON STORES. THE COMPLAINT IS NOT WITH BURLINGTON BUT WITH THE ULTRA DIAMOND STORES THAT ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH BURLINGTON COAT FACTORY, THEY ONLY LEASE SPACE INSIDE OF THE STORES.

Burlington Coat Factory Direct poor customer service

I went to Burlington Coat Factoryto purchase a Ski Jacket. Several of the Columbia 3 in 1 interchange jackets they had did not come with anything more than the outer shell yet they were priced the same as the few jackets that came as a complete set. I asked an employee if they were in fact selling all of these jackets (complete and incomplete) at the same price. This employee took my question to the store manager and then relayed his response. Without having seen the jackets I inquired about the manager said those jackets with liners were a different season jacket than the ones without liners. He added that they were in fact the same price. This was an obviously incorrect answer and I pointed out to the employee that all of these jackets were the same type of Ski Jacket. The only difference between the jackets was that some were missing liners. The employee one complete set and one incomplete set and had me meet the manager. The manager looked over the jacket and said he would take 15 dollars off the price. The manager behaved (in tone of voice and in the language he used) as though he were doing me a favor. This discussion took place behind the chasier register. When he placed the jackets on the counter and looked them over, I walked up next to him to resume the conversation. He directed me to stand outside of his area. I thought that was extremely poor customer service. If they want to run their store as though it were Fort Knox, they're going to turn off a lot of customers. That aside, I pointed out that the liner was worth more than 15 dollars he picked up the jacket, looked it over once more and said, "So are you going to buy it or not".

The bottom line is, I don't need to purchase anything from Burlington Coat Factory. There are plenty of other stores that I can do business with. They are not the only game in town and I doubt very much that I will ever purchase anything from them in the future.

I agree that is outrageous. I am a manager working at BCF and I can tell you it must be the BCF's in that area. I have noticed a difference in our older and newer stores and the new ones are more pleasant I find to shop. Sorry about your terrible experience.

Burlington Coat Factory Direct customer service / no return

I purchased a coat from Burlington coat factory less than a month ago. I went to return yesterday and the female at the counter looked at the tag which was with the coat but not attached and said that she can't return it and only give me store credit. As the coat was for 150 dollars. I said I can attach the tag and return it again, to which she said ok. I went backt o them today to return the coat and this time there was another person. She looked at the coat and my receipt (which had a cancelled sentence from yesterday saying no tag attached). So she called the supervisor. She looked ta the coat and said this is not our tag. I was shocked to hear that. She simply accused me. I told her that it is the same tag as was originally with the coat. She mentioned that their tags look different and she got another coat with a different tag and showed me that. She also mentioned that no attandent can ever say that you can come back with the tag. She asked me why did not I spoke to the supervisor yesterday. I mentioned that I told the person yesterday if she can speak to her supervisor and let me know, to which she said it is the store policy so she can't do anything. This rep (tity) accused me again saying now i am chnaging my story. And she kept of saying that this is not our tag and I am changing my story. I felt extremely bad as she would not let me finish and kept accusing me of anything I will speak. Finally she said give me your visa card as I don't want to deal with you. I tried to convince her that it is their tag. I am sure one simple thing like scanning the tag would have simply resolved ths issue- but she did not. She was loud and very insulting. She said you could not return it yesterday and you obviously know that some other person will be there today so you are trying it on me. I said I came back not at all knowing that I will have a different person. Then she said I dont want to deal with you, give me your visa card. I took out my card and I said what a customer service. She said now you cursed me. i am not doing anything for you. She threw the bag at me and said I will not do anything for you as you cursed me. I was left zapped. She did not help me at all. The other women standing at the counter gave me a card with a number to call- which I called and it was closed for the day. Hence I came back again today without returning the coat. It was the worst ever customer service experience I had. For sure I will never buy again from them, nor I will recommend any of friends to buy from there- but the people who have there are not just extremely bad to the customers but abusive too. The tag attached to the coat is their own which they could not even recognise. Very bad! And they way their rep tity behaved- even worst.
