I was looking for a Nikon d7000 and found it on amazon first for a 1199.95 and ordered it there, but later on canceled my order with them because i found the same camera body at ajrichard for 1159.95 with the same no shipping, no tax deal. Turn out they charge you a hidden "handling fee" of 60.00. This charge does not appear on your online receipt nor it appear on the receipt they will email you. I accidentally found out about it only by calling their customer service to make sure I will receive my camera before I leave for my vacation. I didn't canceled my order with them at the time because the price on Amazon had gone back up to 1499.95. Couple days later, I called again to find out when the camera will be shipped since the status has been changed to "ready to ship" for few days. The same man who answered my call the first time told me it will be shipped tomorrow. The same afternoon I went to Amazon and found the price has dropped back to 1199.95. I call ajrichard try to cancel my order with them. Frankly, I was not happy with the hidden charge and rather pay the same amount of 1159.95 + handling fee with amazon. I read the cancellation policy and it stated that as long as the order is not shipped one can canceled it without paying any extra fees. To be sure, I rechecked my order status and nothing has changed. The SAME MAN answered my call, after hearing the reason of my call he checked my order and said its already shipped. I told him I am the one who called this morning and was told that it will be shipped tomorrow. Also my order status says its not yet shipped. He then told me my order is already on the truck and I will have to wait till I received the order then pay for the restock fee and the return shipping. I told him as far as I know my order is not shipped and I want it to be canceled. Then I told him I am not happy with the hidden handling fee to be start with. He was angry but said will try to cancel my order for me then hang up the phone. I called back still trying to be polite, he answered the call again but pretend to be someone else. I didn't want to get into another argument with him and played alone. I asked him to cancel my order for me again this time, and he then told me seems like his "co-worker" had already done so and my credit card will be credited within 7 to 10 days. He again asked what's the reason for me to canceled my order. I simply told him cause i find it somewhere cheaper. He said "oh well, i was going to offer you another 100 off from our price." At this point I would rather pay a hundred more at anywhere else than buying it from this site. Now I will wait and see if they credit back the full amount back to my credit card.

Absolutely cannot trust AJRICHARDS. I am in the process of contacting the State of NY about their business practices. I ordered a Canon 1Ds Mark III from them. The camera was listed as in stock and the price was $6799. Today, they cancelled without warning. They did not want to honor the price. They have changed the price to $7599. THEY DO NOT WISH TO HONOR THE PRICE THAT WE AGREED TO. DO NOT TRUST AJRICHARDS. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

I ordered an Olympus camera for what I thought was a good price. When I called to inquire on the ETA, they claimed that the battery that came with the camera was inferior and that I should buy a longer life battery for an extra $40. I bit on it. When the camera came it was in a generic box, no warranty card and the extra battery was actually an inferior gray market battery that I could get for $10 locally. I called to return the battery and they said, no, it was part of a "package" - I'd have to return the camera as well and take a 15% re-stock fee. I said I did not buy a package, rather just an extra battery. No, says they, I received the US version of the camera and that the original order was for a non-US version. Huh? They US version has a 1 year warranty, the non-US version a 90 warranty. Again, huh? So I called Olympus. No such thing as US/non-US. All come with Olympus packaging, with a warranty card. So where did this come from? I suspect this is either a refurbished unit or a counterfeit. I immediately called my credit card company and disputed the charge. I have made a formal complaint to the NY BBB and will be calling the King County District Attorneys office on Monday to see if criminal fraud charges can be filed. I recommend this course of action to every. They guys must be put out of business! The Web is full of complaints of scamming. The Amazon link below provides 5 pages of complaints similar to mine.

This was by far the worst online shopping experience I've had. I placed an order for a Canon S95 about a week and a half before Christmas with AJRichard because it was the best price I could find online. It wasn't until after I made the purchase that I was notified that it won't be delivered until after Christmas and that I should call their customer service number. So I did, and the representative was rude and told me I'd have to pay an extra $40 to expedite it. So, I just sucked it up and just hoped it would arrive earlier than what they said. I ended up called two additional times to verify my shipping address and both representatives were rude and disrespectful. They basically told me that I was "SOL" and that I should pay the extra $40 to get it on time. With the attitudes their representatives have, I'd rather pay extra somewhere else where their customers are valued. I ended up cancelling my order since it would basically get here after the new year. They were even rude when I cancelled the order and didn't ask why or if there could be anything done. As luck would have it, Amazon actually lowered their price by $70 with free 1 day shipping so I got my Canon S95 for $229 just in time for Christmas!

I ordered a camera from them for $450 and then was told that my card did not go through which was not true as I used it right after this order. They told me that the camera was out of stock and that they only had the red one (which was higher priced). They told me that the camera would not be in stock for a couple more weeks. I then got an email that they cancelled my order which I did not ask them to do. I called back and someone else told me that this camera has been discontinued. I think that they just wanted me to buy a more expensive camera. I ordered one elsewhere. They better have cancelled my order! If it is on my credit card I will call the credit card co. and tell them to take it off of my bill. SCAMMERS

Okay, so I just placed an order with them and had problems with the transacting going through online. While I was waiting opened another page and googled them so I could get their number and call to be sure it went through. And what did I see but this site and a few more with nothing but a ton of complaints. I call their number ASAP so I can cancel and a recording comes on and says “we are closed for the Jewish holiday, we will reopen on October 16th after 10…..” and then it cut off.
I am pissed at myself for not checking them out first I always do that but I was so excited about the price and I have been saving up to purchase this D90. I have called my CC company and had them issue me new cards and stop any transactions from posting. The Company also suggested that I call them on Sunday to let them know that I have done this and have them cancel the order.
I hope I have snipped it in the bud and sure wished I had seen all these complaints before I ordered. Someone really needs to do something about shysters like these people and stop them from ripping honest hard working people off.

The above mail is dropped with an intension, to cheat. While dropping itself they know the don't have stock. But unknowing these fact I called them with my card details. The person from sales told your cancelled and disconnected the call. Once again I called to know the reason, the same sales person in very rude manner told I the same and told it is backlog order(not wanted to agree there are out of stock). Then with disappointment, I called the customer care for complaint abt this one. I encountered the same rude voice of same sales person(One man Show)...but this time I disconnected my call(don't want a fight).
After that I received the below mail
Attn Valued Customer,
This email is to confirm the cancellation of your order with Ajrichard.com. Please call our customer service department if you have any further questions regarding your order at [protected] and they will be "glad?" to help.

Wish I looked alot of places before I took on the nightmare! ALL these complaints seem to of happened to me, I am now in the process of trying to get my money back as I type. Placed an order for a camera one day shy of going on 2 weeks ago, canceled the order after being processed and was asked to buy this and that and upgrade shipping... After declining the extras the following day got an e-mail saying my camera was outta stock and would take up to 2 weeks for them to receive and then another 2 weeks for them to ship it to me, total of a month of waiting and want this camera for my up coming trip didn't work for me so I canceled and left negative review on Nextag (another questionable place) the following day I get e-mail stating they somehow got a shipment in and could they "Overnite Ship" the camera, just blew it off... following next 2 days I get phone calls on my answering machine saying they wanted to "Overnite Ship" so after the 3rd day of thinking I gave in and what a mistake... It's been 4 days now and no Overnite Package so I called again and cancelled and the camera never left the building, I live a little more than 100 miles from N.Y N.Y. and could have walked there and back by now. No camera for my Island trip, or I should say the one I wanted. BUYER BEWARE stay away! Do your fellow man a favor and write the State of New Yorks Consumer Protection, maybe enough complaints going to the right people we can put these heartless son' of ### outta business!

I recently placed an order. I noticed that the AJrichards price was lowest, but they charged a lot for batteries and memory cards, so I figured that was how they made their money. Indeed, a man called up and asked if I wanted to buy an extra battery and a memory card. I said no, in a pleasant conversation. Then I got an email saying "Thank you for your recent order with Ajrichard.com. Unfortunately, there is a delay in us receiving your item. We expect to receive this item in approximately 14 business days. If you would like to cancel simply reply to this email with the word CANCEL, if we do not hear from you we will process the order once your item arrives. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you." I decided to google them and found this site. Thanks. I just cancelled.

Wish I would have seen these comments before I placed my order there! They DID THE SAME THING TO ME! Charged me $30 'insurance' charge that was not mentioned anywhere! So the $239 camera ended up being $269! For that price I would rather have gone to Amazon! I guess we will see if I actually get the product!

it seems very unfair I have to give this seller even 1 star. Horrible does not begin to describe my experience. A short run down of our transaction so far.

1. My wife ordered a camera on Wednesday. On Friday she recieved a call to confirm the order. At that time she was confronted with pushy upsales for various accessories. (strike 1) Then they told her there would be an additional $20 "handling and insurance" fee added to the order. The website listed a 2.99 shipping fee, and said nothing about this extra $20, which actually made them more expensive then other sites. (strike 2)

The order was not actually shipped until the following Wednesday. Why it took a week to put a camera in a box and ship is beyond me. (strike 3).

a week later, the camera arrives. My wife is sitting on our couch, and opens the box. She starts to play with it, and it doesn't work. Once the zoom is extended, it will not retract unless you remove the batteries. So we put it back in the box and ship it back the next day.

2 days after they receive the camera back, they call us. They tell us the camera has a scratch on the body near the lens, and we must have dropped it. The only place we could have dropped it was on the couch, and there was no scratch on it when we mailed it. They said they would send it to the manufacturer, but in there opinion we had damaged it and most likely the manufacturer would send us back the broken camera.

I am ANOTHER victim of this company! This guys are horrible, I don´t understand how is it possible that this company exist. I am totally sad because the reason I bought from them is because I was trying to get the best deal ($50 less) and what I got was a lost of about $300 on my canon XA100! How? Well, they convinced my wife to get the battery, the charger, memory card Etc. They told her that it was the best quality and she though it was a good deal. After I found out one hour letter and ask her to call back, they told her that it was "already ship" even if their website said that it was "ready to be ship" (which is different). We did not even knew what kind of products we were getting until they arrived. The products are chip quality, I researched online and buying the same products (or better) could have been almost $300 less! And now of course we have to deal with it because their restocking fee is 15% without exception. Is there any costumer´protection for consumers in this country? My wife and I, we extremely sad and angry.

Thanks for saving me the aggravation of dealing with this website. We will drive to the next town and buy what we want from Best Buy as it looks like the price would end up being the same.

I ordered a Panasonic Lumix from aJrichard.com for $215. I accidently orderd the wrong color. So I called and wanted to change the color to black instead of silver. When I called ( lets call him Mark) Mark answered. Mark said, "yes, we'll change your color to black, no problem. Blah blah ..would you like to order a longer life battery? The one you have only lasts for about 20 mins."

I said No thanks.

Mark started getting rude and said, "ok but your going to realize that you need that battery eventually."

So after the FIRST confrentation. Mark said, "ok your total comes to $250."

And I said, " What!?! Why is my price increased. Thats not how much I ordered my camera for."
Mark said, " Oh well if you read our website, It says you are required to have shipping insurance"

So I went to their website FAQ's and it said shipping insurance on FREE SHIPPING was optional.

So I called back and GUESS who answered! MARK!
I said, " Hi, I just called about my order, and I was told that shipping insurance was required, and that it said so on your website. But I actually looked on your website, and I read the exact words to him. Wich said, (Free ups ground '
does not include shipping insurance, that may be purchased sepratly at checkout or by calling in.)

Mark Said, " Oh well, whatever, I guess if you don't want to protect your $200 camera it's your choice"

I said, " I don't, I can't afford it, that's why I went to your website, because it was cheap."

Mark continued to become snotty with me and then told my credit card was declined.

MY CREDIT CARD WAS DECLINED BECAUSE THEY CHARGED ME $50 EXTRA
Mark said, " call back when you get the money." And he hung up on me!

So I went online to make sure I had the money in their. I had enough money in their for the camera. But I didn't have enough in their for the shipping insurance added.

So I called back to tell them I had the money in their.

AND GUESS WHO ANSWERED! MARK!

When I called I said, " Hi I think I just talked to you."

He said, " No i'm pretty sure that was my co-worker" " My name is "Alex"" ( SAME VOICE)

He then transferred me

To MARK

Right now my order is being " reviwed" Wich is weird because I've never had an online order be " reviewed "

I WOULD SAY NEVER ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE. aJrichard.com

And when I get my camera. And IF it's in perfect working condition.

I plan to call their 1-800 number and ### THEM OUT

I wish I would have seen all these posts BEFORE i even dealt with them. I ordered the Nikon D7000 because it was a better price than anywhere else. I also received the email to call and confirm billing information. I did so and I was asked if I wanted the INTERNATIONAL or US Model. Of course, the US model is $200 more... If I purchased the International model, it wouldnt be in English. So, ok... let's go for the US Model. Then, like you, he suggests the extended battery ($80) cause the current battery only lasts 30 minutes. Then, I need to get the special sd card... another $89. No, no, no. I asked if it stated on the website about the international vs US models and was told yes, I must not have seen it. After we hung up, I looked and didnt see it but did find a 1 year US warranty so I called back. Different guy- He told me it's a warranty from AJrichards, not Nikon. Then he proceeded to tell me it's all over their website that ALL of their products are the International models. So, now I'm up to $1500 and a really uneasy feeling. NO WHERE on their site does it mention international models. So I call back again. Same guy- he told me he doesnt have time to go through the whole website and tell me. And "If you knew anything about the camera, you would know the US Model comes with a Nikon warranty" He also said "If you dont want to buy it, you dont have to" I asked if he was going to charge me to cancel and he said no. I cancelled that order, called my bank and the money had already been put back into my account. WHAT A CROCK THIS COMPANY IS. I HOPE SOMEONE BRINGS THEM DOWN BECAUSE THEY ARE DISHONEST!

We had terrible experience with this AJRRichard.COM, regarding an on-line order for a Canon camera. The day after we order the camera they sent an email stating, 'We have been unable to process your order due to verification issues.' When we contacted them regarding the issue, the salesman gave a final price for my camera that was about $50 more than the final price showed me on their website. When asked why, he stated the additional charges were a 'delivery insurance.' When we stated the website did not mentioned this charge the salesman said 'this needs to be added.' We canceled the order and now are making sure all learn the evil of this company before making the same mistake.

This company is a rip off. They manipulate you into getting a better "package" deal and never tell you the price until it is shipped and can't be returned. Without a 15% restock fee.
This is bait and hook tactics. They are a fraud and should be turned in. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM BEWARE. You will be sorry. They Got me on A Nikon D700 and a bunch of cheep way over priced extras.
I am turning them into my visa company and telling everyone in my photo chat rooms to stay away. Ajrichards is NO GOOD!

I gave Ajrichard a fair opportunity to correct a problem. see my earlier post. I returned the Nikon D7000 according to their instructions and in 5 days I received back the EXACT SAME opened box of parts. The cables and manual has obviously been used and who knows about the camera body other than for sure it had been removed from factory packing. this is in addition to their practice of falsely advertising free shipping then calling you and attempting to sell you overpriced auxiliaries, then adding on $60 of "handling and insurance" charges to their "free shipping".

This company is dishonest. If you buy anything from Ajrichard its BUYER BEWARE. There are plenty of honest suppliers out there so it is ridicules that anyone would deal with Ajrichard.

OMG! I just got off the phone with them, after trying to buy a T2i! this is crazy they told me the exact same ###! They dropped the price from $795 to $759, so I bought it. I then get an invoice that tells me my grand total...$759. I was thinking, ok cool...I get another email saying "call us to confirm the billing". Ok so I'm thinking they're going to confirm the address or something, I had $800 in my account so the deal should be done, no shipping right? Hell No! the guy tells me that I need a special memory card and a special battery that only they have, and let me tell you, this "special memory card" cost almost $200! He said I won't be able to use it without it, and the battery that it comes with only lasts 20min! I say "No Thanks! (I'm no fool) I'll just take the camera and lens for $759 as my bill says". BUT NO! He tells me that $75 shipping insurance is added, and its NOT optional, and that I need to put more money in my account because it declined. HA! you damn right it did...I hung up and went to Amazon...

I have been seriously upset with the hidden fee of $60 (that neither appears on the order forms where I type in my credit card number to authorize them to charge the price WITHOUT the extra $60 nor in the confirmation mail) and have cancelled my order consequently. I recommend nobody places an order with this fraudulent company until they fundamentally change their policy and their attitude towards customer satisfaction.

Unfortunately I didn't see this complaint in time and the exact thing happened to me. I figured at the time that it wasn't that big a deal as the $60 added was similar to other prices out there even though is was sneaky. Problem is when my Nikon D7000 arrived it had been repackaged, some of the cables used, the manual obviously used and who know where the camera has been. In other words some form of an open box deal, not the new camera body I had ordered. I have contacted this company and will give them the benefit of the doubt to either send a new camera as ordered or provide a refund before taking it up with the credit card company and any other consumer complaint/NJ Better Business beaurau etc.
