We got scammed by a Tucson, AZ HVAC company! They scammed us on a Rooftop AC Unit. Alltech Solutions, Inc. ROC 296000 was one of the 4 companies I was dealing with. We chose this company because they offered a 10-year warranty and said they do a lot of work in Phoenix and our neighborhood. The salesman promised that we would be happy with the installation and if we had any issues, they would fix it! He said, "I promised you!" Our original 1986 air conditioner had a heat pump issue. Our home insurance sent Qual-Tec to our house and convinced us to buy a Goodman GPH1448H41 or GPH14H. They said this model would save us 25% to 30% on energy bills! We never had any cooling problems! But our energy bills are ridiculously high! I feel like we're being robbed every month for over two years! To cut the story short, they couldn't figure out the problem and in the end, they said we needed to change the duct on one side of the house. I really wanted to figure things out because I knew we didn't get the right unit, but they kept insisting that they were the same and there was no difference. So many lies! The person in charge changed the model unit because it made his job easier and he didn't have to get a curb stand for the air conditioner they bid on and agreed to install! He would have to postpone the job and wouldn't make enough money for gas to get back to Tucson. GPH1448M41 is a completely different unit! I can prove it! The bid for this job was for a dedicated horizontal unit, not a multi-position unit! Everything I'm telling you can be found on my website acdefrauder.com. One Guard home warranty says they don't have any other options for vendors, so my only choices were to wait and hope someone cancels on 5/29 or 6/1 before my scheduled appointment OR stay in a motel room (I have pets) OR pay out of pocket for a temporary unit or unauthorized service. I think it's not right to expect anyone to survive on their own for 5 days in temperatures over 100 degrees when they have coverage for repairs like the A/C unit. There seems to be only one vendor, Alltech. Altech doesn't have an 'on call' technician as a backup plan for emergencies (if they do, they didn't offer it). Yes, I'm a senior (73), but this is not acceptable for anyone, including those with children or pets.

We bought a 5-ton heat pump in September 2022. The thing hasn't been working right since they put it in. I've been asking over and over for the warranty papers, but they never gave them to me. It's been five months and still no sign of them. The pump blows out cold air, and the sales guy said it freezes up when it's freezing outside. But it's only 47 degrees, not freezing! They didn't have enough juice in my power box, so they used the 50 amp fuse box I had for my RV hookup. Now they're trying to sell me a heating thingy to stop it from freezing. And get this, there aren't enough plugs in the power box, so they want to charge me for a bigger one. They never mentioned any of this before. The thermostat has been busted since they put it in, and they won't send a tech to fix it. I think they saw an old person and tried to take advantage of them.

Invoice # *** was paid for a total of $7447.80, but unfortunately, the installation process was not carried out with integrity. The work performed did not meet the required standards and regulations. The technicians claimed to have made repairs, but the problem still persists. To make matters worse, the installation caused a water leak in the kitchen ceiling. Instead of using a new gas line, they opted for an old one. Additionally, they left the old furnace in the attic without disassembling or removing it. The unit itself is not level, resulting in water leakage from the condenser. It is supported by 2x4 lumber instead of being properly hung from the rafters. This setup obstructs the flex hose clearance, which is essential for proper air flow. Furthermore, the technicians did not adjust it accordingly. They also used low-quality foam to seal the fan unit outside the house, which is inadequate. It appears that every time they sent a technician, it was a different individual who lacked knowledge about the specific issue they were dispatched to address. This led to wasted efforts from both parties involved. As a result, I sought the assistance of another company to inspect the unit in the attic. They promptly identified all the incorrect installation problems. I have reported these issues to the Pima County Inspectors for them to evaluate whether the work conforms to the required codes. It is imperative that Alltech Solutions, Inc. provides evidence of employing licensed HVAC technicians and completes the necessary work to rectify these issues.
